BEFORE:

"She's not in my class," says a head shaking Kristin. "I may have had a bit of a slump, but I'm a champion. She's a wannabe who's never beaten anyone. I MAY carry her for ten to get some work in. And I MIGHT coast a round late and let her win one. Or I MAY decide to shut her out. Then again, I might just take her out after two or three. Depends how I feel."

"I'm good enough to beat her," says Amanda. "I know that, and, she may not want to admit it, but SHE knows it, too. Thing is, when I'm done tonight, she won't have a choice about admitting it anymore."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Mama Mia' I hear, and here comes Amanda Seyfried. Could be a big fight for her tonight, Pam."

Pam: "It certainly could, Jenny O. Front Street's flyweight division has sort of been the Jamie Lynn and K-Stew show for the last eighteen months or so, with Amanda kind of taking a back seat. Now, management is giving Seyfried some big opportunities..."

O'Dell: "Amanda into the ring, helped off with the robe by Britney and Jewel to reveal a yellow bikini...and she's hoping to take full advantage of those opportunities, Pam."

Pam: "She NEEDS to, Jenny. If she can, she could become the stable's top fly and get a nice push. If she doesn't, well, it could be back to the back seat. Or, maybe to the curb. Kind of a double-edged sword. See, not all cliche's DATE, Tess!"

Tess: "Good point..."

O'Dell: "And that's 'For You To Notice' by Dashboard Confessional, and here comes former FCBA Flyweight Champion Kristin Kreuk!'

Pam: "Speaking of girls facing a big fight. We all know Kreuk's slump had her on the edge of the unemployment line. She managed to avoid that, but she's still, no doubt, the sixth girl in a six-girl stable. She's the favorite here tonight. An upset she does NOT need."

O'Dell: "Kreuk helped off with the robe to reveal a sexy black number, and, Pam, let's have a pick."

Pam: "Gotta go with the more experienced Kristin. Kreuk's got the championship pedigree. Seyfried still has to prove she belongs in this class."

O'Dell: "Tess?"

Tess: "As you know, I picked Kristin in my prediction piece and I'm not going to change. My reasoning's the same as Pam's."

O'Dell: "Well, we'll find out. There's the bell for the first and Seyfried lands a nice flurry. Kreuk responding with a snappy left, circling left behind it, looking for some distance. Seyfried is having none of that, bobbing forward and landing a hook to the midsection and a nice straight right to the head. Kreuk jabs and circles away."

Pam: "Nice, effective aggression from Amanda. Nice head movement. Getting off first. Kreuk moving her feet, making Seyfried chase, but Amanda's doing it effectively."

O'Dell: "Krissy looking to find something off that left jab, but Amanda keeps working inside it and banging away for points. Kreuk not liking the close-in stuff one bit, Pam."

Pam: "No, what Kreuk wants to do is box from the outside, where she has the advantage, but Amanda isn't having any."

O'Dell: "And Seyfried snaps Kreuk's head back with a nice right hook at the bell. Good first for Amanda."

Tess: "A few more rounds like that and she's going to make us look foolish, Pam."

Pam: "That might be, Tess, but we'll still look GOOD."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second round underway and Seyfried again out aggressively after Kreuk, got Krissy's attention with a hard right hook. Kreuk out of dodge quickly. Resets behind that nice left hand, misses a right high and Amanda digs body then lands a nice uppercut."

Pam: "Kreuk not getting any space at all, Jenny. She moves and sets her feet, and Seyfried's right on her."

Tess: "This is good stuff from Amanda, Pam."

O'Dell: "Seyfried hooking the lats now, forcing Kreuk backward. Kristin jabbing and circling, trying to get some space, but Seyfried hunting her down, landing for points. Showing good patience and fast hands. Kreuk double taps the jab, hook blocked. Seyfried counters a nice right that sends Krissy bouncing away again."

Pam: "Amanda's dialing in right now."

O'Dell: "And she's also dialed up an early lead. There's the bell, and that's two straight for Seyfried."

Tess: "Kreuk needs to renegotiate terms here."

Pam: "Certainly does, Tess."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Into the third now and Kreuk working the left, circling right. Pivots...AND WALKS INTO RIGHT HAND! KREUK STAGGERED BY A NASTY RIGHT HOOK. AMANDA WITH A LEFT-RIGHT AND KREUK WOBBLES BACKWARD...AND DOWN SHE GOES!"

Pam: "Short left hook on the BUTTON!"

O'Dell: "Kreuk rolls to her belly. Up to hands and knees, getting to her feet at nine. Referee gives her the eight...and he's going to let it continue. On comes Amanda, lands a good right hand...AND KRISSY FIRES BACK! KREUK WITH A THREE-PUNCH COMBINATION THAT HURT SEYFRIED! Kreuk a hard right hook, straight left, right uppercut...DOWN GOES AMANDA!"

Pam: "Kid got too excited there looking to finish! Got sloppy. Can't do that against a fighter like Kreuk. She'll make you pay."

O'Dell: "And pay, Amanda did. Seyfried to one knee at six, up at eight. Taking the mandatory. Referee going to let it continue and here comes Krissy. Kreuk snapping the head back with a couple of jabs, landing a hard right to the head..."

Pam: "See? This is the difference in experience. Kreuk patient. Looking for openings. Scoring well with both hands."

O'Dell: "Seyfried forced back to the ropes, covering up...now countering with a nice overhand right. Kreuk fires back with a one-two! Amanda with a good left. Kreuk a double jab and there's the bell."

Pam: "Kreuk's going to get the round 10-9 and that's a THREE point swing. Seyfried has a 10-8 if she doesn't get sloppy after the knockdown."

Tess: "Could be big points. Would have been 30-26. Instead it's 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Into the fourth now and Kreuk the aggressor all of a sudden, snapping that jab home from the outside. Amanda trying to work in, but Krissy's not having any."

Pam: "Seyfried's legs aren't working all that well right now. She was OK against the ropes with Kreuk in front of her, but now Krissy's moving and Amanda can't get in position. And Kreuk knows it."

O'Dell: "Kristin bobbing and bouncing, snapping that left into Amanda's face almost at will. Seyfried short or wide on almost everything. Kreuk showing her angles, landing head first and then following to the body."

Pam: "Seyfried's not getting much done here. Being made to fight Krissy's fight."

O'Dell: "And Kreuk making plenty of hay while the hay making is good. Putting punches together. Forcing Seyfried to cover up. Using those legs. There's the bell. Excellent round for Kreuk."

Tess: "38-38 Pam?"

Pam: "That's how I have it."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "On to the fifth now, and Kreuk off that stool with a purpose! She lands a nasty left-right to the head that forces Seyfried to cover up. Kreuk goes body now, working those lats, OH, BUGGY WHIP TO THE KIDNEY!"

Pam: "Nasty. Just nasty."

O'Dell: "Kreuk snapping the head back with a straight left-right. Amanda fires back..AND KREUK A VICIOUS FLURRY! Amanda covering up again...AND DOWN SHE GOES! KREUK A SHORT RIGHT HAND AND SEYFRIED'S ON THE CANVAS AGAIN!"

Pam: "Kreuk's strutting to a neutral corner. Very pleased with herself."

O'Dell: "Seyfried up at seven. Takes the mandatory. And here comes Kristin! Kreuek snapping the head back with a left, hooks the lats with a right, bangs a left hook to the head. Amanda trying to cover up, guard high...KREUK SPLITS THE GLOVES WITH A STRAIGHT RIGHT! AMANDA WOBBLES..."

Pam: "Buggy whip again to the body! Right to the kidney. Slamming that punch into Amanda's back!"

O'Dell: "Referee warns Kreuk. Krissy listens, pays no attention, goes back to work. Seyfried heavy-legged, trapped on the ropes. Kreuk pot-shotting..."

Pam: "No idea what's holding this kid up."

O'Dell: "Don't know but she survives the round. There's the bell!"

Tess: "Might be academic, but I've now got it 48-46 for Kreuk."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Ready to go for round six and Kreuk quickly with a hard flurry to the head, rips a hook to the belly, buggy whips that kidney again!"

Tess: "There's no REASON for that..."

Pam: "Except to send a message, and that's EXACTLY what she's doing, Tess."

O'Dell: "And Amanda's receiving it, loud and clear, in the form of gloves banging off her head, face, belly, and ribcage. Kreuk moving beautifully, taking advantage of Seyfried's heavy legs, Amanda trying to fire back, but short on everything as Kreuk just too quick, showing too much movement and too many angles."

Pam: "Kid's game, give her that, but she is getting SHREDDED in there right now."

O'Dell: "Kristin popping that jab, circling, snapping rights over top of Amanda's gloves. Seyfried trying to find Krissy with the left, not having much success...FOUR PUNCH FLURRY, KREUK! Brutal BUGGY WHIP TO BOTH KIDNEYS AS A FOLLOW UP!"

Pam: "Referee warning Kreuk again to stay off Seyfried's back. And I have no doubt all Kristin hears is Charlie Brown's teacher."

O'Dell: "She also hears the bell. And she's not nearly as happy to hear it as Amanda."

Pam: "Seems like a long time ago that Seyfried had won the first two rounds and floored Kreuk to start the third."

Tess: "A lot of points ago, too. 58-55 in Kristin's favor now."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Seventh round underway and Kreuk bouncin' and misbehavin'...STICKING that left in Seyfried's face, circling left, not letting Amanda square up. Seyfried trying to pressure, lands to the body."

Pam: "Seyfried's legs may be coming back some. She's moving a little better."

O'Dell: "Hasn't stopped Kreuk from landing that left, Krissy sticking it. Seyfried stepping to and hooking the lats. Kreuk lands a right. Amanda fires back! Big left hook backs Kreuk up!"

Pam: "Seyfried finding the range now. Krissy doesn't want to bang with her. Wants some space."

O'Dell: "Kristin trying to jab for it. Amanda a solid combination...BUCKLES KRISSY WITH A RIGHT HOOK! Kreuk staggers backward! Amanda letting the hands go. Driving Kreuk backward."

Pam: "Amanda not getting sloppy this time. Keeping the head and feet moving, getting the hands back quickly."

O'Dell: "And she's getting them to land where she wants them, too. Forcing Kreuk backward, rolling her up, suppressing her fire, forcing her on to the defensive. Now going body with some thumping stuff to the ribs and belly. There's the bell. Big comeback round for Amanda."

Tess: "Kreuk still has the lead, but it's a bit closer now. 67-65."

ROUND EIGHT:

O'Dell: "On to the eighth round, and Amanda pressuring again. Lands a sharp combination to the head. Krissy not retreating. Fires right back with some solid shots of her own. Seyfried responds by going belly. Kreuk bangs back with a right and Amanda answers with a left-right trhat backs Krissy up a step."

Pam: "Kreuk playing Amanda's game right now. Slugging in close. Wants to squash Seyfried's rally."

O'Dell: "Kreuk going body, Amanda snaps her head back with a right hand, digs a hook to the belly. Krissy bangs one off Seyfried's head, and Amanda rips a left off Kreuk's jaw!"

Pam: "This is bitter stuff. Krissy's trying to break Amanda and Seyfried will NOT back down."

O'Dell: "Instead she's backing Kreuk up! Banging away to the head and body. Krissy firing back, but Amanda digging at the body, slamming an uppercut to the head. Both girls hammering away as the bell rings. What a round!"

Pam: "Seyfried won it. She's back in this thing. 76-75 with two to go."

ROUND NINE:

O'Dell: "Into the ninth now and Amanda Seyfried sensing the upset, pressuring Kreuk, banging the body. Krissy firing right back, still looking to back Amanda down..."

Pam: "Ought to try to get some space here and box for points. Win this one and coast the tenth and you've got your decision."

O'Dell: "Seyfried a left...OH! BIG RIGHT HAND COUNTER, KREUK! That one hurt Seyfried and Krissy going to work! Kreuk with a nasty flurry to the head, forcing Amanda back. Seyfried covering up and Kreuk going body. Krissy splits the gloves with a left, bangs a right off the head."

Pam: "Amanda game, firing back, but she's not right. Missing mostly and Kreuk taking target practice."

O'Dell: "Kristin flurries again, blocks a receipt, hooks the belly. Amanda trying to get back in this thing, but Krissy not having it, just keeps letting the hands go, landing good, solid stuff."

Pam: "This is why Kreuk is a champion. She's not getting out of control, but she's not taking the foot off the pedal, either."

O'Dell: "Still swinging right to the bell! Kreuk throws the arms in the air as she heads back to the corner. She won the round cleanly, stopped the rally, and has control of the fight."

Tess: "That was huge. 86-84 with one to go."

ROUND TEN:

O'Dell: "On to the tenth and Kreuk on her bicycle, looking to box away the last three minutes. Amanda working forward, hooks the body, but Kreuk jabs and circles away. Amanda eating lefts trying to close...AND LANDS A BIG RIGHT HAND AND DOWN GOES KREUK! KRISSY BLOWN RIGHT TO HER BACK! KREUK FLAT ON THE MAT AS THE COUNT PICKS UP AT THREE. FOUR. FIVE. SIX. KREUK ROLLS TO HANDS AND KNEES. EIGHT. NINE..."

Pam: "She beat it!"

O'Dell: "Not by much! Referee gives the mandatory! Crowd on its feet cheering as on comes Seyfried!"

Pam: "Yeah, Kristin doesn't exactly have much of a fan club in this arena..."

O'Dell: "SEYFRIED WITH A LEFT-RIGHT AND KREUK STUMBLES! Referee looking closely! Amanda all in, letting the hands go, pounding away at Kreuk, forcing her back into the ropes. Kristin backed up, guard high. Amanda digs at the ribs and lats, bangs on Kreuk's arms, snaps the head back with a straight right...AND SENDS KREUK STUMBLING ALONG THE ROPES WITH A LEFT HOOK!"

Pam: "He's going to stop it!"

O'Dell: "Kreuk taking a pasting, ready to go, but she won't! Desperately hanging on. Amanda a left-right that sends Krissy reeling! Referee looking in...BELL! BELL! It's over."

Pam: "Unbelievable will by Kreuk. Don't know how she made it to the bell, but
it's going to the cards..."

Tess: "Maybe not. I've got it 94-94 and that means..."

Pam: "They're confirming it in my headset, Jenny O! It's a draw. We're going OT!"

ROUND ELEVEN:

O'Dell: "A little primer on the rules. To win in OT, you need two unanswered points. Win two straight rounds, that does it. Get a 10-8 round, that does it."

Pam: "And, you can always do it the easy way and stop your opponent."

O'Dell: "And there's the bell for the eleventh, and Amanda's right in Kristin's face immediately, working past the jab, digging body, going upstairs with hooks. Kreuk trying to get space and can't do it."

Pam: "You know, it's pretty amazing that we've gotten to this point. A three point turnaround in the third, Seyfried's knockdown in the tenth..."

O'Dell: "It was quite the path to get here, but we'e here, and it's Amanda who's having her way, working inside, scoring to the head and body. Kreuk can't maintain space and can't out punch Seyfried in close."

Tess: "Amanda backing Kreuk up and cutting the ring off nicely."

O'Dell: "And she finishes with a nice three-punch at the bell! Judges turning in the cards, but no doubt how it's going to go. Amanda's round. Kreuk has to have the twelfth."

ROUND TWELVE:

O'Dell: "Into the twelfth now and Seyfried again moving forward. Kreuk tying her up, trapping the arms, hook to the ribs, shoves off, sticks a jab and circles. Amanda trying to locate, but Kristin turning her, jabbing, keeping distance."

Pam: "Every time Seyfried works past the jab, Kreuk ties her up, not letting her get off in close."

O'Dell: "Crowd not liking it, Pam."

Pam: "No, but it's a good strategy. Kreuk needs this round, has to do what she has to do to get it."

O'Dell: "Kreuk legging away, flurries as Seyfried moves forward, turns, jabs, ties Amanda up. Seyfried lands to the body, and Krissy's gone. Kreuk legs to empty canvas, circles behind the jab. Amanda working in behind her left, Kreuk bobs away, chipping a right in as she does so. There's the bell."

Pam: "Kreuk won it."

Tess: "She did. And now the pressure switches to Amanda."

ROUND THIRTEEN:

O'Dell: "Into the thirteenth and Kreuk still has legs and she's using them. Seyfried wants to cut off the ring, but Kreuk jabbing and circling, keeps squirting out of danger."

Pam: "All night I've been pointing out reasons why Krissy is a champ, and here's another. She keeps finding ways to counter what Seyfried's doing."

O'Dell: "Amanda squares up and lands a left-right, but Kristin reverses behind the jab, lands a nice, chipping right, and scurries back to open ocean. Seyfried dogged in pursuit, but Kreuk elusive, quick, clever."

Pam: "Again, Amanda gets in and Krissy ties her up, holds her until the referee breaks them."

O'Dell: "Kreuk doubles up the jab and that's the bell."

Pam: "It's going to be over. That's Kreuk's round."

O'Dell: "Judges conferring...and THAT'S IT! Kreuk wins the 13 and the winner by UD13 is KRISTIN KREUK!"

Pam: "Seyfried slamming her fists off the ropes. Gotta be thinking about that third round."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I'm with our winner, Kristin Kreuk. Kristin..."

Kristin: "I TOLD you, she's not in my CLASS!"

Tess: "She took you OVERTIME!"

Kristin: "Couple of lucky punches! I could have ended it any time I wanted. I just carried her to get some work. We fight ten times, I win all ten. Besides, this wasn't ABOUT her, it was about ME. About making statements. To the Swans. The Pack. The rest of the flyweight division. Krissy Kreuk is back. And she's making a beeline for HER flyweight titles. And anyone who gets in the way gets what Amanda got!"
