Photos From A Contract Signing

In the eyes of longtime FCBA industry observers, Elisha Cuthbert and Rachel McAdams have a long and complicated history. A lot of that stems more from their time together serving together on the Mountees stable together. During that time, they never appeared to be on the same page and many individuals, including Elisha, believe that it was Rachel's influence that pushed her to be released from the stable. Rachel, of course, has denied any such involvement.

Regardless of such denials, it hasn't stopped them from having a very intense rivalry, both public and private, that has not recently occurred in an FCBA ring. Since the Mountees disbanded, the two of them have had a total of one fight and in fact, no fights since 2007. A shocking total of close to five years has separated the two from battling in an FCBA ring, though that length has not dimmed their hatred for one another. Elisha has never forgotten her two losses to Rachel in 2007 and McAdams has never seemed to forget that Elisha won the battle for public sympathy over her perceived actions.

One significant factor, sources reported, is that one side or the other has made it impossible to get this match signed by Foxfire and Lookout! management, despite the overall good relationship the stables appear to have for each other. Whenever it came time to get the contract signed, either Elisha or Rachel's camp would make impossible demands, outrageous requests or cause some kind of dramatic event that would keep the contract for being signed. Even when it came to getting them in the same room, the signing would inevitably break down into a war of words or more than likely, a physical contest.

But, here today, the time appears that Elisha Cuthbert and Rachel McAdams will finally sign a contract for Elisha Cuthbert to defend her Female Celebrity Boxing Association Bantamweight Championship against Rachel McAdams at the next FCBA PPV. The contract signing is on neutral ground at a nearby expensive and lavish hotel. Though, not entirely neutral, as it is a Hilton.

It's because it's a Hilton hotel that they get permission to use one of the extravagant conference rooms usually reserved for executives. Both parties arrive early, as Rachel McAdams arrives accompanied by Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Hayden Panettiere. Elisha Cuthbert arrives with an entourage consisting of Yvonne Strahovski and Ashley Tisdale.

Mary, Yvonne, Ashley and Hayden are all able to shake hands and be reasonably polite upon entering the conference room. Rachel and Elisha aren't interested in shaking hands, speaking with each other and do little more than exchange glares with one another. A neutral witness, agreed on by both parties from a local law firm, produced the contract and a separate pen for each. Tisdale and Panettiere both maneuver themselves in between the two Canadian rivals, ensuring that they don't attack each other. Mary and Yvonne quietly negotiate who will sign the contract first, eventually deciding that Rachel McAdams will sign first.

But, before the contracts can be signed, a photographer that was brought on hand for the occasion suggests that they all take a picture together. To this day, nobody is sure who brought the reporter there or who hired the photographer. Many rumors persist that it could've been somebody from various rival stables such as Front Street, HISC, Jeri's or Tech Unlimited. Olivia Munn is considered one of the most likely candidates, in fact. Other rumors insist it was Minka Kelly from Lookout! or some theories insist it was a photographer hired by one of the two candidates to ensure that the contract signing did not occur. Regardless of where the photographer came from or who they were, it's agreed by all parties that it nearly derailed the upcoming signing.
Initially, it's looking like a good photo, with the backdrop of the city in the skyline with Mary and Yvonne in the background. Hayden and Ashley flank either side of the two stars in question, Elisha and Rachel. The photographer suggests that they put their arms around each other and from there, it goes rapidly downhill.

Photo 1: Rachel and Elisha jostling with each other, shoving at each others shoulders. Mary's eyebrow is raised in alarm and Yvonne has a look of surprise on her face.

Photo 2: Rachel has given Elisha a violent shove, sending her staggering backwards into Tisdale, who is toppling over to the carpet. Strahovsi stumbles back into the conference table hard.

Photo 3: Elisha is back on her feet, body to body with Rachel, shoving her backwards onto the conference table. Yvonne and Mary have gotten into an shouting argument, leaving Ashley and Hayden to try to separate the two bantamweight brawlers.

Photo 4: Their attempts have been unsuccessful as Rachel has shoved Elisha backwards, just sending a particularly angry backhand against Cuthbert's face, blonde hair whipping around her face and cheek turning scarlet.

Photo 5: The photographer has focused on Tisdale and Panettiere in this shot, who are engaging in a little shoving match of their own. In the background, one can see Mary on the floor with Yvonne, arm wrapped around her head for a headlock that Yvonne is struggling to escape from.

Photo 6: The photo shows Hayden sending a knee upwards into Ashley's abs as Ashley doubles over in pain. You can see Cuthbert and McAdam's legs as they two are apparently rolling on the floor. In the background, Winstead and Strahovski are still battling, but Yvonne has gotten on top and is trying to pin Mary to the floor.

Photo 7: The photography returns to the immediate subjects as Rachel has Elisha doubled over in a nearby corner, appearing to try to shove Cuthbert's face into a trash can. Rachel appears to be screaming down at a furious Cuthbert.

Photo 8: Cuthbert has wrenched herself free of Rachel's grip and has reversed their positions, shoving McAdams up against the door, mashing her face and body up against it. Cuthbert appears to be shouting angry words into Rachel's ear.

Photo 9: The photographers return to Ashley and Hayden. Ashley has Hayden's hair in one hand, tugging back and forth as she stuffs fist after fist into her tummy. A furious Yvonne and Mary are gesturing wildly in the background.

Photo 10: Hayden appears to be in the process of tackling Ashley backwards, while Yvonne and Mary appear to have regained control of their tempers and are in the process of separating the two of them.

Photo 11: Cuthbert appears to be straddling Rachel on a plush office chair, one hand tugging on her top as the other sends a vicious slap (appearing to be one of many from the color of Rachel's cheek) into her face.

Photo 12: Rachel has shoved Elisha off of her perch and still sitting in the office chair, is in the process of delivering a hard kick down into Elisha's tummy as she's sprawled out on the floor.
Photo 13: Both Rachel and Elisha are on the floor, apparently having knocked over the office chair which is next to them, legs entangled and hands wrapped in each other's hair. You can see Yvonne and Mary trying to pull the two of them apart, with Hayden and Ashley just entering the frame to assist.

Photo 14: Rachel and Elisha have been separated by their stable mates, arms wrapped around each of them as the two rivals and former stablemates themselves glare at other. Cheeks scarlet, hair disheveled, clothes torn and clearly filled with dislike for each other, the two of them appear to be catching their breathe.

Photo 15: Apparently having caught their breathe and their fellow roster members by surprise, the two of them have leaped towards one another. Bodies slamming together, hands extended to bury into one another's tresses, the look of savage hatred and their mouths open to no doubt scream taunts and epithets at one another leaves much to the imagination of the viewer. Just in frame, you can see Yvonne, Mary, Ashley and Hayden trying to separate the two. It's this photo in particular which was most frequently seen on the cover of various female fighting publications the following day or week. That or photo 18.

Photo 16: Rachel McAdams has been clearly pulled away forcibly from Elisha. With Hayden Panettiere and Mary Elizabeth Winstead at either side, she is in the process of signing the contract.

Photo 17: Elisha Cuthbert is putting the finishing touches on signing the contract as well, flanked by both Yvonne Strahovski and Ashley Tisdale, who puts a restraining arm on Elisha.

Photo 18: A photograph of the signed contract for a title shot at the FCBA Bantamweight Title. While not all of the fine print is immediately legible on the photo, one can clearly see that the contract specifies that the match cannot end with a draw. Also, the signatures of both Elisha Cuthbert and Rachel McAdams are definitely and clearly visible.

Subsequent photos show the two being led apart, though not without continuing to shout at each other and not without being restrained more carefully this time by both stable members. It's clear from the contested nature of the contract signing that the actual title match itself will be only more so and in that case, nobody is going to pull them apart or stop it. Officially, Rachel McAdams will challenge Elisha Cuthbert for the FCBA Bantamweight Championship at the upcoming FCBA PPV.
