Before: Mack getting a big push—staying active to capitalize on her brutal smackdown of Holly Marie Combs—Stevens a girl in the Combs mold of made-to-order opponents. “Rachel’s pretty much fighting by the numbers now,” says one British Beat scribe. “She’ll go hard until she’s tagged, then she’ll pack it in—she’s exactly what up and comers like Mack are looking for.” Ali in red sports bra,. Red and white floral print bikini bottoms—Stevens in jockey cotton two piece, blue top, red bottoms. Venue: ring set up in the football stadium on set of “Smallville”.
During R1, 2: Rachel Stevens fighting a hard, disciplined, sharp 6 minutes routinely beats Allison to punches. Mack brazen, leading with her face, wide with her shots-Stevens in a nice tight stance, bending her knees just bangs away crisp to the openings, smashing Allison’s face, clubbing her off balance, walking her down,. Brit backing Mack up, working body on the ropes, lifting Mack’s face up the right uppercut inside—all culminates in a thudding persistent beatdown in Allison’s corner—Ali swooning to all fours at the end of the second as crowd gasps in astonishment.
R3: Mack corner on the verge of panic—Allison fights a gritty third to restore a little order. Allison tightening up, girls laying in heads and shoulders together and taking turns working each other over at short range. Good bump n;’ slug by both curvy beauties—Mack finally getting her way as it’s Stevens backing up in the constant give and take.
R4: Everything’s right with the world—Mack takes it to Stevens this round. Allison muscling Rachel to ropes then going to work—herky-jerk torso bob setting up ripping hooks—palm-shoves from the right hand straightening Rachel—stubby jabs up top and tuff right hands in the breasts, Mack just systematically pouring the leather to Stevens—Rachel glum, covered up, seated in the ropes, Juicy banging right hands on the tummy have Stevens cramped and hurting at the bell—Allison’s got that grin of confidence back, bouncing stagger in her step returns.
R5,6,7,8: Bitter, mouth on shoulder, tidy swapping contests ion the trenches—very competitive statistically, yet each and every round goes by a razor’s edge to Rachel Stevens. Rache simply indomitable, refusing to back up, covering up well when it’s Allison’s turn, answering back with workmanlike 1,2,3s underneath. Girls rotating gently counterclockwise as they mindlessly shell one another, both doing substantial damage to the other’s biceps, juicy racks, curvy bellies,. Rachel sometimes jus separating herself by the extra punch, or the more visible uppercut or right hand that sends sweat flying from Mack’s head, Allison lumping up more visibly around the yes, bleeding from the nose at times—incrementally she seems to be the more shopworn juggler through 8.
R9: Rachel’s been landing right hands on Allison’s chin all night—this time she wobbles Mack’s butt, buckles Mack’s knees and nearly lays Smallville out! Mack wandering in a fog to the ropes, eyes distant and puffy—Rachel steps to what’s left and helps herself. Mack bleak as she accepts a thoughgoing rub-down—Rachel landing right hands to the stomach, turning ‘em tight across the jaw, adding on tight hooks and sweet left uppercuts. Mack too rugged to go down, but it’s a bruising, draining shutout—one of the best pro rounds Stevens has ever had.
R10: Where was this Allison Mack all night? Finally pulling herself together and attacking with vigour—Ali Mack outclasses and outpunches a suddenly outgunned Stevens. Rache unable to hold her ground, gets thumped to the ropes and has to turtle. This is the Mack that bludgeoned Combs senseless—punching hard with either hand, digging to her foe’s midsection and flanks, putting short-arm combinations together to bang past the guard. Stevens takes it a like a mule bell to bell—Mack chesting up and letting her hear about as the ref jumps in. Comes back UD10 Rachel Stevens.
After: Had to happen—kick a girl when she’s down often enough and she’ll eventually kick back—Rachel Stevens puts it all together to pull off the upset. Mack shaking her head, staring at the canvas—stupid mistakes early, overconfident midrounds she THOUGHT she was winning when the opposite was true—she just gave this fight away.
