Blondes have come on top of both of tonight's fights but it's an all-brunette clash in the third contest with Lioness Club's Sophie Howard facing another PageThrees' newcomer Zoe Hawkins. Howard's presence adds an extra spice to this event since her glamour roots date back to Page Three of the 'The Sun' and along with Lucy Pinder and Michelle Marsh she's one of those models who managed to shrug off the one-trick label and move on into further endorsements elsewhere.

There's an internal feeling within PageThrees to punish Howard for the betrayal of her origins and one senses that her fight with Hawkins means more to this stable then even the Main Event with Jessica Jane Clement and Jeanette Biedermann coming up next. Howard's still winless in five attempts including her latest clash with FCBA veteran Carrie Prejean, but she vows to break that miserable streak at the expense of Hawkins, whose fighting skills remain unknown ahead of her debut. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the welterweight division.

Round 1:
Cautious start from both girls, both throwing single jabs, testing each other's guard and mainly circle around each other. Sophie tries to land some combination to the chest, but Zoe's quick on her feet and backs away. More ducking and weaving follow as Zoe drops her arms and shows little signs of charging forward. Sophie goes after her, looks to ignite some fire, but catches the leather with a wild hook and falls into a clinch as Zoe jumps up to her and wraps her arms around her neck. Ugly piece of boxing, both girls seem happy to push and shove each other, unloading single jabs to the midsection in the clinch but mostly landing them on the opponent's arms and elbows. Ref is busy with separating them few times and the crowd starts to whistle inside the final minute. Both girls ignore the reception they're getting and remained glued to each other, finally the bell comes to everyone's rescue and cuts the stalemate short.

Round 2:
Zoe with a big hook to the face early on, catches the leather though and Sophie responds with a low jab to the ribs which lands clean. Follow-up uppercut to the jaw snaps Hawkins' head back but she covers up for another left hook and clinches in the middle of the ring as Sophie looks for a way through. She can't find that opening, reverts into a series of fruitless punches to the arms and gloves and Zoe jumps away to the ropes again. Howard's slow in her chase, enables her opponent to circle further away into the distance and Hawkins just doesn't seem keen to step forward in the early stages. More wasteful punches from both sides as Sophie waits for Zoe to make her move, before finally realizing she's not gonna get what she wants. Crowd's reaction remains derailed, angry yells urge the local brunette to turn on the screw, but Howard continues to circle around and accepts Hawkins' waiting game until the bell.

Round 3:
Even coach Gina Wild has seen enough and during the interval, she urges Sophie to finally step it up. Howard comes out firing, closes the distance quickly, but can't land a solid punch as Zoe sidesteps well and avoids a series of jabs. Sophie tries to jump after her, but gets clinched after a wayward hooking attempt to the face. Hawkins shoves her to the ropes and continues to drag her down forcing the ref to separate them. Wild swing from Zoe straight after the command catches the local brunette in the nose! Out of nowhere, Zoe piles in with a jabbing sequence to the chest and stomach, beding her rival forwards and it's Howard taking all the punishment as she looks for a clinch herself. Hawkins thumps her in the chest more sharp jabs and laces in the ear with a right hook! Sophie wobbles on her legs, can't find that clinch and receives more pasting when Zoe nails her around the guard, straight in the cheek. Head-snapping sequence from the PageThrees model as Sophie sinks on her knees and absorbs the onslaught. Left, right and another left hook break Sophie's guard and Hawkins pours in with a crafty jab to the mouth!! DOWN GOES HOWARD sliding on her backside with her lip being split with that sequence!!! Crowd gets silenced and Sophie scrambles back on her feet at seven, spitting blood from the lip wound! She looks angry but least Hawkins cares as she whacks her in the chest before targeting the face again. Sophie's gloves withstand that attack and she finally manages to clinch when her rival runs out of steam after that repeated charge. Both girls struggle along the ropes until the bell, but the PageThrees corner looks much happier of the two after that round.

Round 4:
Coach Samantha Fox is all over her girl during the interval, urges her to harass the stunned rival without any hesitance. Hawkins has woken up for good it seems, as she closes the distance within seconds of the bell and whacks another series of jabs that land on Howard's chest. Sophie responds well though, laces her in the cheek with a nice hook and steps forward herself, forcing another clinch. Both girls struggle in the middle of the ring, throwing nasty shots to each other's back and Zoe finally almost wrestles Sophie to the ground with an anxious looking move. She throws couple of hooks aimed at the head but ref shoves her away as Howard's clearly upset by those tactics. She jumps after Hawkins but crashes off the leather with a series of hooks and Zoe responds with a low sequence to the stomach. More clinching along the ropes force the ref to step in and tempers finally start to flare with both girls much quicker on their feet, throwing vicious shots to each other's bodies. Zoe circles more lively, jabs with a slightly higher intensity but can't find a way to open that lip wound again. Sophie weaves her head around her shots and leaps up with a big hook, straight on the gloves though and Zoe pushes her away for good with a crisp jab to the ribcage. Few seconds later, the bell sounds and Hawinks has failed to really build on that third round.

Round 5:
Visible change in approach from both sides, Zoe leaps up few times, peppers her rival's midsection repeatedly but Sophie responds with a big hook that wobbles the visiting brunette after yet another attempt lands on her tummy. She jumps after her and opens from both wing, laces Hawkins in the face before Zoe finally covers up, backed against the ropes. Howard tries to sway her around. lands another solid combo to the arms and head, but can't break teh guard and leans on her, looking for some jabs under the elbow. Hawkins clinches, looks for a breather and nails Sophie in the ribs. Ref steps in, shoves the local girl away but Zoe can't escape from the ropes as she gets nailed with another big hook from the left. Howard opens up again, lands more crisp jabs before Hawkins covers up and weaves around to avoid more leather. Repeated actions from Howard, lots of effort but little results. She keeps Zoe pinned along the ropes for remainder of the round but can't break her down and eventually wears out in the closing seconds. Another clinch is interrupted by the bell.

Round 6:
More clinching to start the sixth with both girls landing quick jabs to the midsection, Zoe leans on her rival looks to back her against the ropes just with weight alone, but Sophie shrugs her away and leaps with a flying hook that nails her in the nose! Hawkins wobbles and loses her footing just as Howard pours in with a flurry of wild jabs to the face. Couple of them rock the visiting brunette from side to side and she falls onto the ropes where Sophie continues to land single punches, looking to break the guard. Zoe covers up, tries to weave around Howard's jabs but gets laced repeatedly and begins to moan in pain. Sophie's unable to keep the intensity though, runs out of breath and despite her opponent looking fairly bleak, she can't send her down! Angry shouts from Howard, she peppers Zoe in the arms but there's no strenght behind those shots anymore and both girls fall into yet another clinch. Extended struggle is halted by the referee but only for a brief moment. Hawkins leans on the ropes and avoids single jabs from Howard who breaths heavily herself and barely can land a solid punch, just grazes the aching rival in the chest and ribcage but with little effect. At the bell fatigue has crept in big time and we've barely made it past the half-way!

Round 7:
Hawkins comes out with more esteem, tries to make somethig happen after couple of poor rounds. Howard circles around the ropes, her face visibly reddened through exhaustion and Zoe's early attacks. She's got little time to catch her breath as Hawkins leaps up to her and lands a solid combo to the chest, forcing further moans from the local brunette. Zoe piles in with single jabs to the head as Sophie covers up and leans on the ropes herself. Quick jabs to the midsection add further pain but Hawkins also looks tired and doesn't have that firepower which she surprised Howard with earlier. Nonetherless she keeps pummelling away as Sophie tries to respond with single jabs, but only grazes her in the arms. Wheels have come off both wagons and the crowd gets treated with more clinching and fruitless, weak punches until the bell. This has turned into a very ugly fight with little skills showed from either woman.

Round 8:
Both Gina Wild and Samantha Fox urge their girls to try and find a late knockout, but it's a physical struggle for Sophie and Zoe. Slow circles at the start of the eight and neither fighter has recovered well and found a second breath yet. Sophie leaps a few times, laces her rival in the arms and body but Zoe jumps to the ropes and drops her gloves as she backs further away. Howard's after her but misses more hooks to the head, not quick enough on her feet. Extended weaving back and forth with little significant punches follow as the crowd gets more annoyed. Hawkins finally shows some positive signs late in the round, jumping forward with a sequence to the head, but gets clinched immediately and the ref has his work cut out, separating the girls on numerous occassions. Single jabs to the ribs and chest in the clinch is all on offer as the girls continue to lean onto each other until the bell.

Round 9:
Finally a decent start in the ninth as Hawkins thumps Sophie in the boobs with a solid hook and follows up with an uppercut that catches the local brunette in the nose. Sophie tries to respond but misses a couple of hooks and gets backed against the ropes with a series of low jabs to the guts. Zoe looks to have shrugged off the fatigue crisis first, peppers her opponent with more intensity and allthough Howard covers up, she can't find any solid response and soaks up this late punishment. PageThrees' corner has become more vocal again as Zoe works with the left jab, sets up a cross-hook and nails Sophie in the nose after tearing her guard wide open! Knees buckle for the local girl and Hawkins lands more jabs to the face, busting up Howard's cheeks in the proccess. Loud moans of pain from Sophie now as she sinks further on her knees and Zoe just lays serious leather into her, running on empty, but determined to make a late statement. Couple of hooks from the left leave more bruises on Howard's face and a follow-up from the right sends her sliding down on her backside!!! Ref starts the count but Sophie's head slumps between her shoulders; she cannot get up and starts sobbing staring at yet another defeat! Eight... nine.. ten... all over!!! Howard remains seated on the canvas, she's been physically shattered by the rookie in a humiliating fashion! KO R9 Zoe Hawkins!!!

Post-fight:
Hawkins crumbles down on her stool, unable to cherish this victory and she looks as bad as Howard, just worn out to the limits. However she found the latest of last resorts of energy and forced her will to win over the local rival. PageThrees corner celebrate their second victory of the night and look more then pleased with avenging Howard's betrayal of their agenda. After a couple of minutes, Zoe finally sports a smile but refuses to get up for the verdict announcement, her hand is raised while she's still sitting on the stool!

Meanwhile Sophie Howard must accept her sixth straight loss and the Lioness Club remains puzzled over her performances. This was the best chance to finally break her losing streak but once again, she couldn't deliver despite couple of good spells during the bout. Coach Gina Wild doesn't even bother voicing her disgust, her eyes give everyone a telling story. Should she call Sophie Ellis-Bextor already?
