BBU International bout: Italian Lightweight Title

Laura Pausini is defending her Italian title tonight against Carla Bruni Sarkozy in Milan. Both women are determined to take the belt, with Carla keen to show that she is more than the French President’s trophy wife.
Laura is stunning tonight in a black bikini with black gloves, with Carla losing little by comparison, if anything in her gold bikini with red gloves.
Round 1
Both ladies go toe to toe in the center of the ring for about 30 seconds before Laura goes to work with firm left jabs to Carla’s exposed face . A firm Pausini right staggers Carla. She hangs onto Laura to halt the action. The ref separates them, motioning for the girls to box. The ladies square off; Laura again staggers Carla with a right. Carla hangs on to prevent herself from going down. The ref separates the ladies, asking Carla if she's ok. A few more jabs are exchanged before the bell ends the round.

Round 2
The round begins. Carla tries to get inside with a right. Laura keeps Carla outside with her jab. Carla drives Laura to the ropes with a flurry to her mid section. Laura attempts to escape from the corner - both ladies are persistent; Carla forces again Laura to the corner and is able to score with a heavy right that staggers Laura. But Laura comes back with a series of uppercuts. Carla Bruni takes one under her chin that staggers her. Carla is confused. Laura seizes the opportunity, pummeling Carla's body with an outburst of lefts and rights. Carla is taking some punishment. The bell ends the round saving Bruni from further damage.

Round 3
Laura wastes no time moving in for the attack and she wants the knockout. Carla is now trying to survive the round and the fight. Laura is relentless in her pursuit. Carla can't escape as Laura's strong arms punish her breasts and mid section. Laura traps Carla in the corner, a left, a right, as Carla is set up for the big right that lands high on her left cheek. Carla rebounds off the ropes, falling to her knees. The ref begins the count but Carla is on her feet at 8. The ref asks if she's ok - she nods "yes". Carla's left eye is swelling quickly from Laura's last punch. The ref calls for the ladies to box. Laura follows with a right uppercut . Carla is groggy against the ropes. She's in big trouble, and perhaps she has had enough.....and the ref counts her. Carla seems to be in an another world....the referee can't let her fight....it's over!!!!
Laura Pausini retains the Italian lightweight title by TKO in round 3.
