Gabrielle Anwar was outside of '30 Rock' being interviewed by Matt Lauer and Ann Curry. It was obvious from the start that she and Ann had no love lost between them. 'When do you figure you'll be done with all that wooden acting you do on Burn Notice' asked Ann who then chuckled. Gabrielle felt a surge of anger building up and blithely responed 'probably when they discover how much they've overpaid you for all your stupid and contrived interviews'. 'Sometime along that time line I'd suspect' chortled Anwar. Curry was instantly incensed and made a move towards Gabrielle and had to be restrained by Lauer. 'You probably saved that pathetic bimbo a good beating Matt so nice going' said Anwar. Ann could not let this go.'You've seen what I've done to some of your actress wimps like Cox, Alexander and Cross' continued Ann who was in a state of fury now. 'I have laughed Anwar and I'm supposed to be impressed'? 'Is that your point?' 'Oh MY!' 'I'll box you right out here on the plaza next week' challenged Curry. 'It would be my total pleasure Ms. Curry' gushed Gabrielle who proceeded to plant a quick kiss on Ann's lips. 'I'll kiss you again in the ring mark my words' said Gabrielle. 'Toodle OO and train hard as you look kind of doughy and slow to me' remarked Gabrielle before departing. Before Ann could spout another sentence away went Gabrielle.

We now pick up the following week with Ann and Gabrielle both in the ring which is surrounded by thousands of the 'Today Show' fans. Each has her robe on but then Ann sheds hers first to reveal a solid strong body in a sexy white thong. She has heels on as does Anwar who disrobes to show off a completely buff bod in a slate grey bikini. Both are ushered to the center of the ring by Elke Sommer who is the ref. Anwar's confidence is unsettling to Curry who now is perspiring freely. 'Don't worry sweetie this won't take overly long' teases a completely sure of herself. Curry has trained with Katie Couric who has warned Ann of Anwar's speed and strength. 'You have to cut the ring off to beat this gal' admonishes Couric. Ann feels her punching power will carry the day and plans to grind Anwar down.
Round One- Anwar dances out to center ring and taps gloves with Ann who immediately fires a scoring left hook to the younger woman's midriff. To her dismay Anwar is unphased and slips to her left and peppers Ann's face with wicked left jabs. The last one in the volley snaps Curry's head back. Anwar is already smiling and working on Ann's physche big time. A sudden right cross whips hard into Curry's jaw and her head goes sideways shooting off a large amount of sweat. Ann is staggered by this blow. The crowd is liking Anwar's floating style and exhorts her to punish Curry more. She accomodates the well wishers with a withering body attack which has Curry bending over in pain. Gabrielle is the total aggressor in this round and wins it going away.

Between rounds- Couric is frustrated by Ann being outboxed and outclassed by this slender and mischievous upstart. 'Damn it Ann you get fighting or I throw in the towel'.

Round Two- Anwar has observed Couric literally shrieking at Curry from her corner. 'What's wrong sweetie your coach see you're overmatched'? This jars Curry who wades in with a series of head shots though Anwar is able to avoid that much punishment by any of them by moving her head back. She is extremely quick and strikes Curry with two hard left hooks to the ribcage followed by a brutal overhand right which connects with Ann's already bruised face. Curry is sent down hard on her ass as the crowd is roaring 'Anwar Anwar Anwar' while Curry is staggering back up on her feet at the count of 8. 'I'm keeping an eye on your there honey' says Sommer to Curry. 'This gal is starting to bust you up pretty good'. At that the bell rings with Anwar pitching a shutout over Curry. As Ann stumbles back to her corner Couric quickly hands her the water bottle and applies some salve to Ann's swelling right eye. 'Come on Ann show this mob who the real fighter is'.
Round Three- Curry tries to salvage some firepower from a truly hurting body which has been the product of Gabrielle Anwar's solid showing. The leggy newsbabe rips into Anwar's middle with a decent flurry of left right shots but then Gabrielle responds with even more wicked shots to Curry's gut which makes her wince and double over. It's then that Gabrielle Anwar nails Ann Curry with a classic right uppercut and the Eurasian beauty stumbles backwards on completely rubbery legs and falls hard on her back. As Ann Curry lands her legs fly up but then are stretched out as her arms are near her now unconcious body. Pandamonium breaks out as Gabrielle Anwar has completely dominated and beaten a highly rated and feared fighter. This is truly a shining moment for her. Matt Lauer and Al Roker are astonished as are the newsgals Natalie Morales, Savannah Guthrie and Amy Robach. Anwar yanks off Curry's thong and flips Ann's body facedown on the campus as she holds the scant garment while placing one heel of hers on Ann's upwardly pointed ass cheek. The cameras are going off everywhere. Gabrielle accompanies the now naked Curry to her dressing room where she brings Ann to with a whiff of smelling salts. Curry's swollen eyes open to behold a smiling and victorius Gabrielle Anwar. 'Congratulations Gabrielle you got me big time'. Anwar then proceeds to shove Ann's thong into her face and struts out of the dressing room. 'Oh that was grand wasn't it?' she coos to her trainer Jenny Agutter. Jenny concurs but warns Anwar to step up her training for some much younger fighters now looking to make their bones over her. J.F.
