On Set Sparring

Ona G guest starred on Fringe this week, giving Anna T a good opportunity to get in a few rounds hard-sparring with the long time Canadian strongwoman. CELEBRITY RING received the following eye-witness report from a key grip in attendance...

Ona showed good respect onset at all times - this was a legit sparring session, not a guest-star's power play. 5 rounds - Anna won each and every round 2 minutes to 1, basically boxing behind her jab and keeping Ona outside. Grauer was never hurt - never even shifted...looked like Torv had plenty of respect for Ona's power - avoiding risky exchanges. For her part, Ona was effective on the inside, though she couldn't bull Anna to ropes or engage her when Torv didn't want to work.

Good, competent stuff - I caught up to both girls and got the following sound bites...

Anna: "She's strong - like Neve Campbell strong; easy to find, but tough to hurt. I can see why she's held in such high regard by the Vancouver fight scene."

Ona: "Wow: slick! Couldn't find her...and she wasn't running, she just wasn't cooperating at all. In the gym where I train, Alaina Huffman's a lot like Anna in style, but not as precise...I could really feel Torv dissecting my moves and imposing her will through skill. She's good - good work out!"
