Before: Sandra announcing her return to FCBA as a business decision. “I had advisers telling me to steer clear of the FCBA gutter,” says Sandra, “and my career promptly stalled. I look at a talent less bimbo like Charlize Theron--she goes up to middleweight, showcases herself as a big woman and just like that: she gets ‘Monster’ and wins a Golden Globe. Well, those old advisers are gone--I’ve got a new team., we’re focused on getting Sandra Bullock back on top and the first step on the road is Daisy Fuentes.” Fuentes eagerly anticipating getting dibs on a juicy bug name celeb. “Anytime you get to carve up an A lister, or even a former A lister in Sandra’s case--it’s special. I’m going to welcome Bullock back in style--give her something to think about.” Daisy in Boxeadora International battle dress (Black leather sports bra; wet black leather mini trunks with wet black leather mini-skirt and gold tassel fringe; and wet black leather boxing boots), Sandra in black bra style bikini from “The Net.”

During R1,2; Daisy calm and cool against the ropes, right hand around her chin and cheek, left across her gut--showing Sandra the left shoulder, dipping, rolling to her right, slipping shots, edging into Bullock to ease her back. Sandra a vivid contrast--clubbing, chopping and hacking at daisy, working on Fuentes swatting back little hooks, clipping right uppies--she’s getting the clean connects, but Sandra’s sheer volume can’t be denied. Bullock sloppy, wild at time and getting caught, but she’s beating Daisy’s arms, torso and waistline with a non-stop bludgeoning attack, keeping Daisy pinned against the ropes and simply out hustling for points through 2.

R3: Shutout daisy, Fuentes using her legs more--jabbing Bullock midring, stepping back to lure Sandra forward, then nailing her short, diving right hand potshots as brunette cooperates, Fuentes still going to the ropes and setting up to counter, but she’s busier, not letting Bullock get off in such long, sustained sequences--Daisy slips a punch, answers back immediately cuffing up the belly and jaw of her opponent with tidy swipes in close. Bullock thoroughly flustered--she’s outboxed midring, picked up and countered when she gets Daisy on the ropes--that’s Daisy Fuentes boxing.

R4: More frustration for Sandra. Daisy starts her out with stick and move midring, then floats back, tempting Sandra forward and walking her into sneaky, screened right hands off the chest to Bullock’s chin. Fuentes going to the ropes, setting her traps--while Bullock’s skidding and grazing punches against Daisy’s shoulder and upper back--Fuentes is chewing up that gut, walloping that chin--just vicious, tidy punching, no backswing, elbows in--snatching at the openings.

R5: Daisy a little complacent midring--both girls swinging, Daisy mistimes her strokes and gets caught a clanging hook on the chin that sends her reeling backward. Fuentes shook, legs a little queasy--she sets up defensive at the ropes and basically forfeit’s the round. Bullock making the best of it--butting her head into Daisy’s shoulder, pumping to the hips and midsection, using her shoulders and extended left elbow to prop and jostle--good hustling work at the ropes to snow Fuentes for shutout.

R6: Daisy makes Sandra miss and miss wildly in the opening minute, finally bodying up and walking Bullock to midring--catch and release. Rest of the way pretty even--Sandra having moments when she can dig to Daisy’s flanks and midriff, backing Fuentes up--Daisy using her jab, easing back and walking aggressive brunette into short, pounding right hands.

R7: Daisy does best when she mixes her looks--now boxing, circling, now slipping and countering at the ropes--Sandra pretty much a one-note fighter who doesn‘t like to make adjustments. Bullock still getting her touches to the body--she’s very disciplined, not wasting shots at Daisy’s hard-to-reach head, she’s very busy--Sandra not embarrassing herself through 7.

R8: Lazy Daisy shows up again, easing to the ropes, getting cute, but not making Sandra pay for miscues. Daisy so slick defensively, she can make herself relatively safe in the pocket--just rolling, dipping down, easing her shoulder into Sandra to crowd her, easing away to make her miss, Bullock much more straightforward: setting her feet, lowering her head and punching. One thing for Bullock--she likes to carry an underhand right into the pit of her opponent’s belly ala Tia Carrere--very firm punch, often prompting tactical clinches from Daisy.

R9: Sandra sticking with it--Fuentes pretty much stationary on the ropes now, making her moves, being safe, but not working offensively. Bullock beats back, beats hips, clubs arms and shoulders, hooks the chest and chin, chops back of head with tomahawk rights. Whenever she can open Daisy up square, Sandra’s packing in that thick right hand amidships, sagging Fuentes into the ropes, drawing a little wince. Other than that--not much is really bothering Daisy, but she’s just not doing enough for the judges.

R10: Pretty even first two minutes, Fuentes rediscovering her legs, engaging Sandra punch for punch midring. Down the stretch, Fuentes takes over--hands at her hips, sliding out on Sandra to make her miss, dipping back in with sneaky rights on the mouth, leaning out to slap a hook upside the head, pivoting to the side. Bullock taking a good shot late, getting walloped, but coming forward, unafraid to get hit. Daisy ending with a good series of clean lefts and rights in and around Bullock’s high guard--Sandra on her heels at the bell, comes back one point duke--Sandra Bullock!

After: Daisy non-plussed--shaking her head in disappointment at the one point margin for Bullock. “Judges need to understand what they’re seeing,” grouses Fuentes, “I was schooling Sandra every minute of that fight, learning her up. I landed all the hard shots--she was looking like a fool just brushing and rubbing on me. Typical!” Bullock doing it the old fashioned way--working every minute of every round, taking some clean clouts to get her way--nothing fancy, but sound work ethic, good fitness and strength enough for an eye-opening win.
