Shona makes her debut against the gorgeous nine-time loser Roxanne, and this does look like a very carefully selected opponent for the 20 year old’s debut, and she will surely have too much power for Ms Pallett.

The girls enter the ring, and as a beauty contest, well it isn’t! Roxy is as hot as ever in a gold bikini, with Shona looking, well, solid, in a burgundy one-piece outfit. She claims to have a big punch, so let’s see?

Round 1

Shona is moving forwards steadily, but she needs to show a bit more athleticism, because Roxy’s very much on her toes, and sniping at the taller girl, her left jabs finding their target too often for Shona’s corner to be enjoying this, and their youngster is getting the runaround, as Roxy just keeps on darting in, batting a couple of shots into Shona;s face, then skips away while the youngster swats at her like she’s a fly. Shona needs to impose herself on Roxanne, but she’s not landing any shots of consequence, and most of her effort is spent punching the air.

Round 2

Sad to say for Shona, it’s more of the same as Roxanne skips and dances around the ring, constantly jabbing Shona’s face, while the bigger girl’s almost flatfooted in her aimless pursuit, needing to hit the north country girl to slow her down, but she can’t hit this constantly moving target, who is embarrassing her by landing her own shots at will, never staying close to the younger girl long enough to land a follow up punch to her left lead, but also never having to take any punches in return. Roxanne’s using up a lot of energy here, but there’s no telling how much Shona will tire or even just lose interest the longer this goes on.

Round 3

The fightfans are getting restless, but Roxy’s tactics are spot on, and she lands again early in the round, still skipping away and still making Shona look poor. But the younger girl is very determined, and she is getting used to the pace of this fight now, at last landing a decent punch to Roxy’s body, and she’s hurt her, too, which gives her more encouragement, and she gets Roxy again with her right to the belly, then again. Pallett tries to cover up, but her defence is never that great, and Shona batters her towards the ropes, gives her three heavy blows to the body, then she does her face with a big left hook, and Roxy ends the round nursing a fat lip.

Round 4

Now Shona looks happier – she’s hurt Roxanne, and she’s slowed her down, so that now she lands a two, three, four shots immediately to the little girl’s lovely body, then pushes her into the ropes, and rips at her face, lands a right hook, and again, then a left, another right, and Roxy’s on the canvas, peering up at her opponent and clearly in pain. Pallett’s up again at 7, but now those feet don’t dance, and McGarty lays into her again, pounds her ribs and tits really quite cruelly, then slips her a really painful shot to her belly right on the bell to leave Roxy gasping.

Round 5

Roxanne’s barely out of her corner, but Shona’s there, banging left hooks into her ribcage, the poor girl squealing, then the youngster half pushes, half jabs her to the ropes with her right glove, then spears a hard, straight left smack onto Roxy’s jaw, and she drops to the canvas very quickly, out cold.

Shona McGarty knocked Roxanne Pallett out in round 5.

Well, Shona showed everyone she could punch in the end, but that was more of a struggle than perhaps it should have been against a jobber like Roxanne, who will be finding a queue of rookies ready to beat her up.
