The enmity between Gifford and Hart dates back to the eighties when Mary was made so much of with those gorgeous legs while Kathy was seen strutting in the surf in a bikini pitching Carnival cruises. Time has passed though and now we have two 'gray cougars' itching to notch the others ass on her win column. Hart has faced Donna Summer among others and been badly defeated in the ring. 'I can nail this prissy bimbo though' she has bragged in a menacing way. Kathie Lee is in no way impressed. Thus they meet as an 'undercard' fight and many have turned out at Madison Square Garden to check this fight out. The ref is Elke Sommer who calls both gals out to midring to read them the rules. Hart's legs still look great in her red bikini panties while Kathie Lee gives nothing way in a black thong. Both are perspiring freely in anticipation of the bout.
Round I- Kathie Lee smokes Hart with a combination to the body and Mary feels the shots and backs up. Hart whips a big roundhouse right which catches Gifford squarely in the chops and buckles her legs. However, Kathie Lee does not go down. Mary can't believe her best shot didn't do more. Kathie Lee recovers and smiles at Mary who is enraged and loses concentration. Gifford seizes upon this meltdown by Hart and delivers a wicked series of combinations to Mary's face. These bring quick swelling to Hart's eyes and the hammering is on. The crowd is eating up Kathie Lee's stamina and firepower as she easily evades Hart's attempts to even this punishment. Kathie slams Mary in the jaw with a good uppercut and those 'million dollar legs' of Hart's buckle. The bell sounds and Kathie Lee is off to a good start. She wins round 1.
Round II- Mary is still hurting from the Gifford volley in round I and now she is going into a more protective mode. The crowd sees this and begins booing her. Gifford chuckles at her wobbly opponent who also looks scared. 'Looks like you're a loser to me Hart' is Kathie's comment as she follows this up with a left/right to Hart's jaw and sends the more buxom gal down on her ass. Mary's ass connects with the canvas first as Kathie Lee exults by raising her gloves. 'Fight Mary Fight' scream many from the audience. Hart is up at 6 and retaliates with a mighty body shot that doubles Gifford up. Kathie Lee does not let that blow disturb her though. They are at midring exchanging shots and Kathie wanted this. She is the quicker and more accurate hitter. Her left hook drills Hart's jaw with another combination sending her body flying into the ropes. Mary Hart has lost heart. 'You got me Kathie you got me' she utters as Gifford pummels her body with unanswered punches. 'Damn right I got ya you phony bimbo' laughs Kathie Lee as she wallps Hart repeatedly with left/right combos to the head. Hart's head is spinning side to side from those blows and sweat is spraying off her each time she's hit. Elke Sommer knows a wipeout when she sees one and steps in to stop the rout. Hart is stumbling around aimlessly on legs that are completely reduced to rubber. Suddenly they fold under her as she plunges forward on her face. The place is in pandemonium. Kathie Lee removes Mary's panties and is assisted by Hoda Kotb as they drape Mary's naked body over the ropes. Gifford takes a sharpie and inscribes 'Kathie Lee beat me' on Hart's ass cheeks. Then it's party time for Kathie Lee and her crowd including hubby Frank the old N.Y. Giant. 'Great performance honey' gushes Frank as his victorious wife struts down the aisle high fiving much of the crowd. Mary Hart is still dangling from the ropes out cold with a sweaty body and closed eyes. |
