BEFORE: Peregrym perky in lavender cotton sport top with thin straps; boy-leg royal blue bottoms with thin white belt; white gloves; gym-rat ponytail with messy bangs. Missy’s appearance is the first by a top ten fighter at Dunwich. Joanne’s togs are simple a solid white bikini top and navy blue boy cut shorts, white gloves and boots. She made her debut against Daniela Ruah stopping the impressive fighter, but Missy is a big jump up the rankings for Kelly. The brunette’s stare each other down silently as the referee gives the instruction and end with a touching of gloves as they head back to respective corners.

ROUND 1: The first minute is a bit slow as the brunette’s feel each other out, mostly testing defenses and keeping their distance moving around the ring. Joanne works her jab keeping Peregrym at bay, but Missy throws her own jabs that seem quicker. Kelly takes a hard shot to the abs, but shakes it off and ducks the big right cross that follows. The final minute is more of the same neither brunette wants to give up anything, Missy lands a few more punches to take the round 10-9.

ROUND 2: Not finding any big openings in the first round the brunette go back to probing with jabs and lots of movement. Joanne working hard to get to Missy’s body with the jab, and she’s doing a good job of it. Kelly pumping fists into Peregrym’s body using her reach to keep Missy at bay. Missy keeps coming, but the jab keeps her from staying in close for long as Joanne goes to the abs just above the belly button over and over. Missy late makes an adjustment using her jab to counter Kelly’s but still it’s Joanne setting the pace and controlling the action until the bell. Round goes to Joanne 10-9 evening up the bout.

Round 3: After splitting the first two rounds Missy ups the pace of both her hands and feet, Kelly struggling to keep up gamely matches the pace through the first minute. Peregrym cuts off the ring and works Joanne against the ropes, the limited mobility causes the Iffy fighter to take more, but Joanne stubbornly keeps jabbing off the ropes and keeps Missy from piling up on her. Missy works low scoring points and tanning Kelly’s midsection, but as the round enters the last minute Kelly catches Peregrym with a right cross allowing her finally to slip back out into the ring. Missy keeps the pressure on though, but is unable to trap Joanne again, the round end as a clear win for Missy, however Joanne does enough to keep it close. All three cards are 10-9 Peregrym, things could have been a lot worst for Kelly though.

Round 4: The rounds are beginning to look very similar, but this time Joanne uses her jab to keep Missy at bay better and forces Peregrym to stand her ground and trade shots. Not that either finds much in the way of openings and when they do find a hole it closes quickly. The action is contained to the center of the ring for the most part, body blows the order of the day each showing pink glowing areas as the round comes to a close. The Judges have a tough call, in the end Missy takes the round 10-9 on two cards the third calls it a draw.

Round 5: It’s clear Missy and Joanne have game plans and as the fight reaches the mid way point neither is willing to abandon the plan. Missy tries to press, but is thwarted by a persistent jab from Kelly. Joanne tries working off that jab, but Missy won’t open up afterwards. If this fight was a football game it would be two teams on a muddy field playing between the thirty yard lines. Missy lands a left right combo, but takes a jab and hook in return. It’s not to say there isn’t action, but neither can find the big punch to turn the tide. Missy again lands a few more and for a better percentage, but again that only gets her two of the three judges, scores are 10-10, 10-9, 10-9 for Peregrym.

Round 6: More hard work from both brunettes. Now it starting to look like Missy and Joanne are unwilling to take any chances, willing to trade blows as long as it means they aren’t going to be caught by anything big. Defense overrides offense the midsection, arms and shoulders of each woman take the brunt of what offense there is. Missy connects more it seems, but Joanne is able to stop the athletic Peregrym with the jab and good footwork. The final minute slows down as both seem to lose the range for a moment, maybe frustration setting in, in what is becoming a war of attrition. Missy takes the round again but only on one card 10-9 the other two come back draws.

Round 7: Not that the action is boring in any way, but the fight is becoming predictable, Missy moving and striking from distance and Joanne jabbing away and nothing seems to be changing other than the amount of pinkend skin on the women’s bodies. Second minute Missy for the first time takes a jab clean to the face, Joanne staggers her and follows up with a flurry to the body that backs Missy into the ropes. Joanne takes Missy’s midsection with vengeance as Peregrym tries to regroup and clinch or punch her way off the ropes. Kelly though will have none of it giving Missy the occasional shot just to keep her trapped on the ropes. Missy slowing as the round winds down Joanne trying to make her pay, but Missy gives up the abs to protect her head and make it to the end of the round. Cards are all Joanne two 10-9 and a 10-8 (probably because of the lack of such action earlier)

Round 8: Joanne comes out looking to continue her work, but Missy tosses her game plan out and comes out firing. Peregrym loosing up gives up some defense to pick up offense, and she’s doing more than just trading shots. Missy pounds her way through and rocks Kelly with an over hand right that staggers the taller woman. Missy pounds Joanne’s flanks as she tries to clinch and works down stairs until the referee splits them and Peregrym unloads from range. An over hand right sends Kelly wobbly butt and brings a bit of blood from her left nostril, as her last round win seems to have gotten Missy fired up. It’s all Missy now as she keeps chopping away Joanne hurt and bleeting, but she makes it to the bell. Cards are all 10-8 Peregrym

Round 9: After the seventh the fight was still up for grabs, after the eighth Missy probably has things salted away. Joanne’s corner does a good job getting her ready to come back out, but she’s in a big hole now on all cards. Missy though has no idea of cruising to a decision win, she wants to finish what she started last round. Joanne tries to return to the early round form using her jab and keeping Missy at bay, but Peregrym is having none of that. Missy moving Joanne around the ring stalking her and punishing blows finds the Iffy fighter everywhere she tries to move. Missy traps Joanne on the ropes and is working in tight again, but Kelly uses a hook to move Peregrym enough to slide by. MISSY’S ROCKED! Out of nowhere Kelly throws an over hand right into the other brunette’s face, Missy falls back into the ropes and Joanne follows with a stomach churning right, a left to the jaw as Missy slumps into the ropes, a right uppercut snaps Peregrym’s head back and that’s all the referee needs to see, Missy unable to protect herself doesn’t get the chance to hold out the final minute. In shocking fashion TKO9 Kelly.

After: In a matter of seconds Joanne Kelly salvaged the night for the I.F.F.I. Joanne worn but shinning as her hand is raised. Missy recovers and comes out and gives Kelly a shoulder pat and the two speak for a few seconds. While Kelly and Peregrym are show good sportswomanship inside the ring outside Vanessa Hudgens and Heather Hemmens are being pulled apart, just as that seems under control Ashley Tisdale and Allison Scagliotti start pushing, then they trade dance partners and Allison and Vanessa and Ashley an Heather are going nose to nose. Flyweights aside the LOOKOUT! Boxing stable and I.F.F.I. stable pull back their own, Yvonne Stahovski giving the orders to LOOKOUT! and Rosario Dawson laying down the law for the I.F.F.I. girls. Still in the ring Joanne and Missy are talking and part with a handshake.
