It's time for the title bouts and first up are the flyweights. Tiffany Mulheron (Foxfire Atlantic Boxing) enters tonight's event as the most experienced title holder in BBU and still one of the most unheralded ones in organization's history. Not many experts gave the Scottish blonde a chance against then-reigning champion Adele Silva, but after slugging out a points decision over the Kear's Kats blonde, she then continued her impressive form successfully defending the belts against Michelle Keegan

However in her third title defence Mulheron faces by far the toughest challenge of 'em all taking on FCBA veteran Virginie Ledoyen (Tech Unlimited Europe). Ledoyen defeated the highly-touted Emily Atack on the March PPV earning herself a shot at Mulheron and in case of taming the reigning champion, she faces a prospect of a rematch against fellow French girl, Lea Seydoux against whom she lost back in January in a FCBA-sanctioned bout. Ledoyen comes into tonight's event fresh off a mouth-watering KO2 win over Alison Scagliotti in the FCBA May PPV and there's a strong talk of her being in fray for the revolving door of FCBA flyweight champions as well. Many experts have written the 36 year old Paris-native off after her loss to Winona Ryder, but things have improved dramatically for Virginie in the recent months and she's far from being done on both sides of the Atlantic.

Round 1:
Virginie hardly broke sweat in her recent destruction of Scagliotti and she's harrassing the champ straight off the bell. Quick jabs to the head keep Mulheron at bay and prevent her from stamping an early authority. Left arm works well for Ledoyen, she forces Tiffany's guard high before ladning a vicious right hook to the ribs. Tiffany jumps away, ducks low, tries to break the momentum, but Virginie slaps her silly with a barrage of shots. Mulhron on the back foot, seeks respite along the ropes. Ledoyen's after her though, fakes a left hook, piles in with a right to the ribcage. Mulheron staggered in the corner, whacks a chaotic counter, catches the leather, single strikes from the champion make no impression on the French brunette. Quick leap from Ledoyen, mis-timed that one and both girls clinch in a corner. More low jabs to the ribs from Ledoyen, Mulheron leans on her, begins to moan. Ref steps in and shoves the challenger away and that's the last action before the bell.

Round 2:
More aggression from Ledoyen who just keeps the champion at distance with high-tempo jabbing. Mulheron throws some single-strikes here and there and cannot match the brunette's speed and agility early on. Left/right combo to the chest push the blonde back against the ropes and Virginie unloads a left hook on the temple. Mulheron covered that but nearly went down, surprised by the power behind that shot! Right jab on the chest and the champ winces in pain! She ducks low and catches the onrushing brunette with a headbutt on the collar-bone as Ledoyen opened for another right hook. Ref steps in, Virginie leaps back and looks in some discomfort with that accidental blow. No harm done though, after a quick walk around the ring, Ledoyen has shrugged off any pain she experienced. Crowd is upset, loud whistles in the BBU Arena, but the replays on teh bug screen clearly indicate Mulheron's forehead striking Ledoyen's arm. The fight is resumed and Tiffany bides her time, dancing along the ropes, with her arms dropped to the side. Virginie leaps back and forth, ignores the teasing but has the blonde on the run with a sudden burst of speed and a flying hook misses the champ's nose by a fraction as she stepped in to close the distance. Mulheron counters, whacks a jabbing series to the ribs from the side, but Virginie jumps to the other side and out of her reach. Bell halts this round moments later in a middle of another brunette's charge. Mulheron lookes relieved heading towards her stool.

Round 3:
Ledoyen just doesn't give the champ a moment of respite, whacks her early with a jab to the chest and follows-up with another hook to the temple. Mulheron covers well, counters with low jabs to the ribcage but makes little impression on the charging brunette. Virginie with high-tempo attack, peppers the blonde from mid-range, backing her against the ropes. Tiffany with small steps back and forth, can't match her foe's footwork though, gets laced several times to the body, but covers well for the real dangerous strikes. Ledoyen tries to find a gap, fakes a couple of hooks, but can't land anything solid. Late in the round, Mulheron finally forces a clinch and spikes a couple of shots to the ribs herself. Ledoyen wants to shove her away, but Tiffany doesn't let go. Ref eventually breaks the stalemate, but the champ looks subdued and out of ideas already.

Round 4:
Tiffany on the move, squares up to the challenger, trying to make something happen. Left/right combo to the chest briefly keeps Virginie at bay, but the all crucial hook misses the target and Ledoyen unloads a lethal counter, whacks the exposed champ in the stomach with a low right jab, follows with a left to the mouth and Mulheron moans in pain, covers up, but gets pummelled to the ropes with another high-tempo flurry of punches. Ledoyen's all over the champ like a cheap suit, bangs a couple of shots to the arms, looks to split her mitts, ferocious blow from the top. Tiffany's all covered, just taking a pounding in the corner. Wild slaps from Ledoyen, the French brunette in a class of her own. Machine-gun like frequency from the left leaves the champ moaning, Tiffany drops her right arm, leaving the ribcage exposed. Ledoyen looks like she wants to punch a hole there and Mulheron just bends down. Left uppercut to the chin nails the blonde clean and MULHERON TAKES A KNEE in the corner just unable to withstand the barrage anymore!!! Virginie over-excited, talks French to the fallen rival and has to be dragged away by the ref. Champ is stunned but not defeated, a precautionary action from Tiffany there with taking the knee? Who knows.. she's up at five and looking ready for more action. The right side of her tummy is reddened already, well visible on the pale skin but she leaps forward and throws some hooks to the face, forcing Ledoyen back. Virginie's somewhat surprised, has the round secured though and fakes some shots to keep the rival away and Tiffany refuses to step in as well. The round is lost and the champion's performance has been very bleak so far.

Round 5:
Early harrassement from the brunette, laying more leather on the midsection but the champ fights back, grazes Ledoyen in the ear with a sky hook, whacks a couple of jabs to the belly herself. Virginie unmoved, throws a big jab to the breasts and follows up with an uppercut to the chin, taming Tiffany's charge. Blonde's head snaps and she covers up, more jabs to the face follow. Desperate weaving from the champ as Ledoyen closes the distance and works on her midsection again. She misses a shot to the face and Mulheron finds a breakthrough with a hook to the ribs. Virginie squeaks, but jumps forward, pushing Tiffany to the ropes. Both girls clinch and force the ref to step in. Single strikes from Ledoyen after the command, Mulheron blocks them off and sidesteps to the left. Virginie keeps her within distance but struggles to cut through her guard. Mulheron on the front foot, leaps to the brunette and forces her to center of the ring with some aggressive jabbing. Ledoyen's happy to catch some breath, but keeps her focus, lets the champ show-boat for a while without significant input. Fairly even round alltogether but Virginie's way ahead on points according to most of the observers.

Round 6:
Mulheron's seemingly aware of the judges' scorecards going against her and she whips a couple of jabs to the stomach, forcing Ledoyen to cover. Left hook catches the brunette on the temple and Ledoyen sways on her feet! Jabbing series to the head from Tiffany, Virginie ducks for cover to the corner allowing Mulheron to close in and produce a flurry of shots to the midsection and head. Jab from the left splits the brunette's mitts but Ledoyen dives low, avoids a cracker right-hander that was destined to break her nose! Response anyone? Virginie blasts a left uppercut to the breasts, right to the head; she barely knew where that was going but so did Mulheron! Massive shot to the eye and Tiffany's bleeding immediately once that reached the target. She manages to stay on her feet, but Ledoyen whacks her in the stomach just as the briefly stunned blonde was looking to clinch and push her foe against the ropes. Ferocious bashing from Virginie, smacks the champ on the cheeks, blonde's arms unable to stay high enough anymore. Ledoyen's face reddened with the effort she's putting as Tiffany refuses to step away, still backing the challenger against the ropes. Virginie's seen it all before, laces the Scottish girl in the nose straight between the mitts. Loud moaning from the champ and she's losing her balance. Desperate wild hook from Mulheron; she almost trips over her feet, easy left hook response from the brunette, catches Tiffany on the cheek... DOWN GOES MULHERON on her knees, head crashing hard on the verge of the canvas. Virginie had to jump away to the side to avoid getting hit by the blonde's falling body. Tiffany's barely able to get up at four, wraps her arm around the middle rope, and pushes herself upright at seven... still shaken by the barrage of shots that landed on her face and body in this round! Left eye bleeding badly... Ledoyen awaits the TKO... Not given!!! Ref halts the contest but only to call for the doctor who soon asseses the damage. Cutmen are in action shortly afterwards, Tiffany's getting some unexpected respite and the bleeding is eventually stopped, but Ledoyen eyes a quick rearrangement of those stitches. 30 secs. still left on the clock... Ledoyen closes the distance in no time, Tiffany's speed across the canvas visibly inferior to the brunette. Another series of jabs to the face; Ledoyen on a mission to re-open the eye wound. Mulheron backed against the ropes, weaves back and forth, all covered up and she hangs on to the bell. Virginie fails to catch her on the eye as well as send down on the canvas again.

Round 7:
Tiffany survived the sixth, but trouble just keep stacking up now. Virginie's not showing any real signs of fatigue, her physical fitness mighty impressive and she continues to slowly but surely demolish the Scottish blonde. Tiffany tries some fancy footwork to avoid eating more leather, but Ledoyen makes a mockery of those efforts, landing quick combos to the ribcage, throwing one-off shots to the breasts, jumping all the way around the aching champion. Mulheron's barely able to land a punch now, just keeps firing away weak efforts, cannot even reach the brunette's flesh late in the round. Cat and mouse games from Virginie and Mulheron clearly hasn't recovered from the pasting she received in the previous round. Few seconds before the bell, a double hooking combo throws the hapless blonde on the ropes and a left hook follow-up whacks her clean on the mouth. MULHERON SLIDES DOWN on her backside, staring at the brunette's feet as her lips are about to burst into spasms... "Oh, look the little slut is gonna cry now", Virginie just rubs more insult into the battered opponent's wounds. Tiffany's eyes shoot up to cross with Ledoyen's.. The champ wants to beat the count, ref is slightly pushing the enveloped here Dempsey vs Tunney style... At seven Mulheron is still on all fours despite a gallant effort, but there's the bell.. Ref stops the count, Ledoyen's shocked and cannot believe this turn of events... "No savings by the bell in title fights!" she yells at the man in charge, but he dismisses her claims on the spot... Virginie's livid and the crowd starts to show their displeasure but one can wonder whether it's because of Ledoyen's claims or the ref's decision. No time to think about this one though as most of the interval has passed already and amid all the carnage Tiffany has literally crawled back to her stool to survive another round.

Round 8:
Virginie continues where she left off in the seventh, firing away at the aching champion who showed tremendous courage just to make it back from her stool. Ten seconds in and Ledoyen has Mulheron backed against the corner post, the champion barely able to walk straight, easy prey for the French vulture. Virginie throws more hooks to the left eye, hopes to cut the wound open once again. Tiffany moans and winces, gutwrencher from the left sinks her on the knees and a right hook follow-up crashes against the eye and opens the wound again!!! Mulheron was unable to raise her arms high and quick enough to prevent this one and she's a dead woman standing... Ledoyen cross-hooks her in the face, ref looks on, but he can do absolutely nothing to save the Scottish blonde... Couple of more jabs land clean on the cheeks and the arms go numb, Tiiiiiiimber!!!!! MULHERON CRASHES SIDEWAYS ON THE CANVAS.... Ledoyen blows her a kiss and climbs the ropes immediately.... Mulheron has been knocked out cold by that vicious barrage... Beatdown of the Year candidate, anyone? TKO8 and the NEW flyweight champion... Viginie Ledoyen!!!

Post-fight:
Ledoyen poses for the cameras even before the announcement, her white mitts covered in red stains. "I beat her into a bloody pulp, just like at my gloves.. she won't get out of Scotland for a long time! Bring on that cheap tart Seydoux next! I have some unfinished business with her!" Virginie's reaction is as ruthless as her display in the ring. The French veteran, scratched from the elite by many following her Upset of the Year-like defeat to Winona Ryder, comes back like Freddy Kruger and just won't go away without making some noise! Love or hate material, Ledoyen is still capable of producing some fireworks any given Sunday. First Scagliotti and now Mulheron; the BBU flyweight crown on top of the latter, Virginie is right back in the thick of things. Will she get a shot at the FCBA flyweight title soon?

Meanwhile it's been a very rough third title defence for Tiffany Mulheron who was outpowered by her French rival all night long and ended up being stretched off the ring, still unconscious. Thankfully for all the Foxfire Atlantic Boxing fans and members, she gathered her senses back in the locker room and even demanded a rematch with Ledoyen as soon as possible. Denise van Outen reported back from the locker room that FAB's press office guru, Danielle Harris personally slapped that idea out of Tiffany's head and the rematch is a no-go for the foreseeable future. The sixth month flyweight reign of one of the most attractive Scottish flowers is officially over!
