BEFORE: "Emma's where I was after 'Lost in Translation'," Scarlett explains in prefight. "She's pushing her way in, stepping on a lot of toes, winning parts from other girls, getting noticed...all that comes at a price. I admit it, I want to pounce her before she's been put through the FCBA wringer. You know the HISC girls are all going to take their piece; witches like Cruz and Dunst are going to come calling...I want Emma while she's still fresh and hopeful. This period is either going to make her, or break her."

Emma rising to the challenge...she knows what lies ahead. "You know, there was a time when Scarlett was fist-fodder for other girls, and look at her now," Emma points out in rebuttal. "I have to stand up to these girls, and I truly believe that i've got the raw talent to make my mark. I'm better than Scarlett was at the start of her career...far better. Scrounging brawl sees Emma put lefts and rights to good use on Scarlett's jugs, setting up clouting side to side chin-checks that have Johannson wobbly-butt. Scarlett clinching, badly buzzed...she gets ref's break, starts to negotiate from there. Johannson in no shape to trade...she's ducking down low as Emma's trotting in; running blonde belly into redhead right shoulder and quick-pivoting counterclockwise. Stone disoriented by the crowd-and-turn routines...Scarlett able to run the clock, while keep her own from getting cleaned in a raucous first!

Scarlett's southpaw look (right foot and shoulder forward) hinging against Emma's orthodox stance (left foot and shoulder forward)...redhead right hand pawing at blonde's left to tap it out of the way so straight, poking lefts can find Emma's left cheek/eye. Having scored - Scarlett ducks down to Emma's left, weaves torso-left to drag the right hand into Em's waist...blonde girl spraying panicky punches, missing over supple redhead's back. Scarlett just being cute, working the southpaw pocket, potshotting her ingenue then dipping and slipping away from receipts in a slick second round.

R3: Scarlett loose and relaxed as she forms southpaw hinge against Emma's left side. Scarlett: hands relaxed at chest, elbows in; pesky pawing right jabs setting up straight left strikes to jugs or mouth, followed by a quick-dip torso-left as Scarlett slips receipts. To the main action, Johannson mixes in the biting right hook across Emma's tummy; the nifty outside-in right uppercut to Emma's chin (curling in under Emma's extended left jab); the super-cute right-shoulder to body push while pivoting sharply counter-clockwise. Emma completely outclassed - Scarlett just sampling blonde wares bell to bell.

R4: Same basic angles and routines for Scarlett, with more devastating results. Emma wobbled midway through by the sharp outside-in right uppercut, then dropped by a slinging follow-on left to mouth. Stone up quickly, but blinking prettily in confusion...Scarlett's follow up swarm of right uppercuts/straight left hands soon drops Emma at ropes again. Stone up hurt and sniveling, but proving brave...she forms a plucky earmuff against a merciless barrage of cuffing right hands to belly; wide left hands to right ear as Scarlett beats her girl without mercy to bell.

R5: Scarlett picking Emma apart from the southpaw hinge, pivoting counter-clockwise to turn Stone midring. Ems proving combative - often wrapping a right hand around Scarlett's shoulders as redhead side-slips outside blonde left shoulder...tough for Stone to land flush, but at least she's throwing. Johannson delayed by moments of Stone defiance, but overall it's another crisp redhead round.

R6: Scarlett's right side hinging against Emma's left - redhead picking her blonde apart at will. Scarlett quick-shifting weight to right (lead) leg, popping hips-left and cutting her right hook across Emma's paunch. Blonde girl cringing at the touch, bunching up...Scarlett dips right shoulder, nips the right uppercut to Emma's chin...sees nothing coming back, so triggers the hesitation straight left to Emma's face...BLONDE GIRL STEPPIN' IN FENCE POST HOLES! Scarlett edging in close...waiting as Emma pony-prances hurt on the spot...waiting, then NAILING Emma the pinpoint straight left hand to chin. Head-snap Stone - her legs lock up stiff as she tilts backwards, crashing to canvas with hands above head. Emma's face pinched in shock, legs stiff and stretched out...she can't get off her back and that's KO6 Scarlett Johannson.

After: Johannson heartless in postfight when a BLONDE! mag scribe suggests she carried poor Emma. "Does anyone remember the beatings I took coming up?" Scarlett snaps defensively. "It's part of the journey. Emma's got beatings and hard times coming her way - she either takes 'em like I did and gets better, or she slinks off Julia Roberts style and stays out of the ring altogether. It's not my job to ease up on the kid. It's my job to do exactly what I did: touch her up and take her out! Trust me, if Cruz or Hewitt or somebody like that got their hands on Emma, this would've been a LOT worse!"
