Pippa has dropped down from welterweight to lightweight, and Nicola has stepped up from bantamweight for this bout – this might be bad news for Nicola, but even worse for Pippa if she loses it!

Here come the girls, and Pippa’s looking good in a black bikini for this one, with Nicola in a rainbow hooped one piece – strange outfit from the redheaded singer.

Round 1

PIppa wants to shake off the jobber impression she been giving of late, and she starts with sparkles! Pippa nails Nicola really early, moves her around the ring, and gets her to the ropes – Nicola’s looking confused, and now Pippa punches really hard, finds Nicola’s chin –and down goes Roberts! Nicola’s up at 4, but PIppa is all smiles. Nicola doesn’t look badly hurt, and she’s using her quick footwork now, firstly to stay away from Pippa, then to gain some momentum, and she is nipping in and out of range and popping some shots into Middy, but overall it’s Pippa’s round.

Round 2

This is a repeat of the first round, with Pippa speedily off her stool and across into Nicola, really in her face, and smack, smack she gets her to the left and to the right – Roberts ger tagged again early in the round – Pippa sends her down for the second time, landing a lovely left hook in her mouth. Nicola’s slower to her feet at 7 this time around, and she looks a little groggy as Pippa fetches her again with a big right hook to the mouth, then works her to the body. This time Pippa keeps the pressure on Nicola for the whole round, and she’s hurting the singer with some heavy punches to the ribs and belly, the socialite bringing home a good one.

Round 3

Nicola needs to fins some punches from somewhere, and she finally adjusts to the pace of the fight, repelling Pippa’s early assault this time, by dancing and skipping away, drawing the bigger girl’s sting, she then sends some of her own left hooks into Middy’s ribcage, and they are making the brunette huff and puff. Midway through the round Nicola has the confidence to trade punches with Pippa, and she gets a cracking left hook onto Middy’s ear. Pippa’s been hit hard, but she seems to be able to withstand Nicola’s assaults, which is bad news for the singer. Oo0zing confidence, having taken Roberts’s best shots, Pippa now scores from outside, keeping Roberts at bay and jabbing successfully into her face. Nicola is forced to step in at times just to try to land to the bigger girl’s more static frame, but she’s getting hit back as well, and this is a pretty even round.

Round 4

Again Nicola is alert to Pippa’s tactics, and this time around Roberts finally uses her speed to put pressure on Pippa in the early seconds, and she gets through to the brunette quite nicely with some good ones to her ribcage. Middleton seems surprised by Roberts’ energy as the round continues, and she’s having to cover up and ties Nicola’s rams in to clichés, not thowing any of her arcing hoos at the singer’s face any more, and looking a little pained as she gives up the round to Nicola, taking a good left in the face late on to ensure she realises she’s still in a fight.

Round 5

PIppa’s been given a talking to between rounds, and she’s back in this one, really showing some energy from the bell again, and she’s pushing Nicola back and back, the singer looking in trouble, and unable to respond as the taller girl’s leather whips into her face. Pippa’s stunning the shorter girl with her hard punches – Nicola’s escaping as best she can, but this is tiring for her, and she gets a heavy blow in the belly there as she takes refuge on the ropes – that’s taken the speed out of her legs, and as we enter the final exchanges, the redhead slows down, allowing Middleton to hit her hard and with results, the Liverpool girl’s face now looking marked and sore as the tall socialite gives her a beating.

Round 6

Pippa changes tactics now – she’s in control, and stops thumping her opponent’s face, but to the redhead’s dismay, Middy works systematically at Nicola’s body. Poor Nicola Roberts is trapped at the ropes again and again, taking a lot of blows to her ribs, and her jaw seems to be dropping open after each one. Pippa’s weight and power is getting some damage done on her opponent, for some reason punishing her instead of going for the finish. In comes another hard right to the ribs, another to the belly, a left to the ribs, and it’s all too much – Roberts drops on her knees in the closing seconds, taking an 8 count. Although she is able to get up and finish on her feet, Nicola looks dazed and hurt – she’s getting bullied. all round the ring

Round 7

Pippa’s swinging at Nicola now, and the girl could take a finishing blow at any time. There’s a certain lack of concentration from Nicola now after the previous round’s beatdown – Pippa’s next haymaker connects,staggering her backwards and open - then it’s the perfect uppercut – Nicola falls backwards, arms opening, back on the mat and she won’t finish the fight.

Pippa Middleton knocked Nicola Roberts out in round 7.

That’s a good win for Pippa – maybe she was a hot favourite, but she got the job done on a tough and resilient Nicola Roberts, who has nothing to be ashamed of.
