“Pathetic,” Lacey Chabert said harshly and without mincing her words, “Absolutely pathetic.”
In the wake of Jennifer Love Hewitt’s JMD defeat and vicious assault at Elisha Cuthbert’s hands, JKO’s small girls had regrouped in their dressing room. Jennifer stared blankly as sat with her robe draped over her shoulders. The purple satin bra and panties she’d chosen for the occasion, so shiny and regal at the onset, had lost its luster. Jennifer was numb and still feeling the aftereffects of jugshock – though she didn’t say a word, it was clear that she was struggling hard to cope with the emotional weight of what had just happened to her a scant half-hour earlier. On one side was the brunette in white blouse and maroon pencil skirt, and to the other was the blonde in a black knee-length dress.
“Now’s not the time,” Scarlett Johansson replied emphatically. Standing at the brunette fighter’s side, she reached out and rubbed Jennifer’s shoulder compassionately. “Don’t worry. We’ll get through this, and when we do that bytch is-”
“Oh, come on!” Lacey screamed. Her arms were crossed just below her chest, which was heaving up and down with petite flyweight fury. “Jennifer Love Hewitt, the FCBA’s self-appointed ‘Queen of Jugs’ just got her bra cups handed to her. Again! Seriously-”
“Now is not the time!” Scarlett repeated, this time shouting for emphasis as she turned to face Lacey. “What the hell is wrong with you? We’re all in this together.”
“In this together?! I can’t believe you!” Lacey shouted back, “Since when were you and Jen so buddy buddy? Remember how she bullied you and ate you alive for six months straight? She wouldn’t show either one us the same regard if we were in the ring instead of her!”
“We’ve gotten over it,” Scarlett hissed, “But it’s clear to me that you haven’t.”
“She’s a sinking ship,” Lacey said, “go ahead and rearrange the deck chairs if that’ll make you feel like a better person…”
“When this is over? It’ll be you and me,” Scarlett replied, “I’m going to kick your ass.”
Lacey reached out with her arm and jabbed her right index finger into Scarlett’s left breast. “Try. I dare you.”
Scarlett seethed at the intrusion of her personal space. She grabbed Lacey’s hand and yanked it to the side – Lacey snarled as she wrestled her arm and pulled it free from Scarlett’s grasp.
Going to the door, Scarlett grabbed the knob and flung it open. “Get out.”
“Don’t tell me what to d-”
“Get out!” Scarlett screamed. Walking back to Lacey, she took her by the shoulders and shoved her out into the hallway before slamming the door closed behind her.
Lacey shrieked with rage as she gave the door an angry kick with her high-heeled shoe. She hated Scarlett. She hated Jennifer. She hated the best of seven.
“Sure sucks to be me, doesn’t it…” |

Elisha Cuthbert sat in the large room with a number of roster members present, although no Minka Kelly. The mood was euphoric and jubilant - definitely an air of celebration - but definitely a little more muted than last time.
Elisha looked around at the smiling and no doubt relieved faces around her, flashing a small grin for the first time in several minutes as she stated the obvious, "Tonight was a big win, but we haven't won anything yet."
"It was a HUGE win!" Ashley Tisdale agreed.
Paris Hilton beamed, "It was as Tizzy stated, a huge win, taking out Jennifer Love Hewitt in a JMD contest and on her 100th match. You know how badly she wanted this one and you wouldn't let her."
Jessica Simpson nodded, "Glad you listened to us preparing for the JMD contest, although you didn't need a whole lot..."
Kim Kardashian laughed, "Or more likely you listened to me, but still, you really took everythinIwe taught you and put it to good use. Hopefully you won't need any more training from us in regards to another Jugs of Mass Destruction Match."
"Although.." Michelle Trachtenberg added, "If this go down to a seventh match, did you hear the announcement that the 7th match will also be JMD?"
Paris said, "I did. I don't remember that at the negotiating table, but honestly, if so, that's all the more incentive for you to close it out in six, Lishy. Jenny Love will fight like hell to keep you from beating her in a JMD match for the third time in a row and for the series. You're halfway down, Lishy - two down and two more to go."
Missy Peregrym spoke up, "That means you need to train harder than ever though, Elisha. You've won the JMD portions of the series, something Jennifer didn't plan on, but she's beat you in the traditional ring matches. That's something WE didn't plan on."
Emily VanCamp agreed, "We can relax tonight, because that was one hard-hitting match in there, but we still need to work and improve things. Tonight you took away her momentum and got into her head. But, you can't stop there. You need to take back control of this series and the only way you're going to do that is by beating her to the body and breaking her spirit."
"You've already started it, but the only way you're going to do that is by hitting her harder than she's hitting you." Hilary Duff acknowledged, "You're in her head now, but we need her spooked when she sees you coming at her. We need to win the match before we even step into the ring with her and I think we're well on our way to doing that."
"It's a best of three now.." Elisha stated, "And I do think beating her in the JMD match again will go a long way towards helping me win this thing. But, momentum can shift back to her just as easily. I can't afford to get overconfident or lose focus for even a second. Jenny is way too good to let that happen against."
Michelle Trachtenberg agreed, "That's a fact. We probably got a little too carried away after our first win and we should've celebrated - that was your 100th match, but overconfidence was definitely a problem. Remember, you talking about a sweep, Lishy?"
Lishy laughed softly, blushing, "Well, I didn't bring it up. Blonde! Magazine did, but I sure as hell didn't shoot it down and I should've. I was just so excited!!"
"As were all of us..." Paris said, smiling, "But, we'll take it easy this time. We'll save the big celebration until after the final match, whether that's number six or seven."
"No best of series has ever gone to seven..." Vanessa Hudgens mused aloud.
Paris said, "And we hope this one doesn't either. The momentum has shifted back in our favor after this match and let's make sure it stays that way. The best way to do that is let's close it out, Lishy."
"I'm going to..." Elisha stated confidently, "I'm going to beat Jennifer Love Hewitt and win this Best of Seven series!"
"That's when we'll celebrate..." Paris said, "But, in honor of tonight, nothing fancy, let's all go out to eat. Winning a JMD match over Jennifer Love Hewitt is definitely worth celebrating, but nothing compared to the party we'll have if you win the series, Lishy."
This statement was met with a number of small cheers as they all went out to eat - Paris' treat - to celebrate tonight and in the hopes that a much larger celebration was to follow here in three months. |
