Before: Berkley’s wanted this fight for some time--but maybe the wait has done her some good. “I’m a more mature fighter now,” admits Liz, “I make better decisions in the ring. I’ve always wanted Zeta Jones on my resume but I feel like she’s lost a step now that’s she’s waited so long to test me.” Jones an unbearable diva all throughout pre-fight--not deigning to give interviews, showing up late for photo sessions--without even the thin Krusher leash to restrain her, she’s out of control. Jones in red bikini, Berkley in pale blue push up and panties.

During R1: CZJ breaks out the crowbar early, taking a crippling hook to Liz’s body. Berkley all folded up, trying to ride out the shock, but the PUNCHING! Hooks tear up the right side of the blonde, hooks gouge up underneath, hooks clock the jaw as Berkley lowers her arms to protect her throbbing ribcage. JONES GOES LOW! CZJ dipping her shoulder and hooking hard to crotch--crowd groaning as an already hobbled Berkley sobs aloud, sinks into the ropes. RIGHT HANDS! Jones now leaning with vicious rights on the chops, leaning back the other way with clouting hooks--it’s carnage A rag doll Liz B stumbles off the ropes--Jones well to the right side of the girl. CZJ hooks the kidney, then drops a left into Berkley’s ear. From the side, Jones sweeps a low slung right underneath, curling up and clouting jaw as Berkley leans forward. LIZ GOES DOWN! Berkley sprawling on her face all undone. Terrorizing punching performance grants Jones the KO1.

After: Jones beaming, holding her finger “number one’ for the cameras. CZJ showing a mean streak, jumping on Berkley and hammering her gutshot, then drifting low just because it was there. “Detractors will always try to tear you down,” says Jones with a wave of her hand. “Firm punching, showed Elizabeth the canvas and nothing more.” Liz left questioning her new-found “maturity”--old Berkley wouldn’t have hesitated to check her opponent’s trunks in retaliation.
