Alice Eve (Lookout Atlantic Boxing) vs Una Healy (Double A Boxing)

Alice Eve was stellar in her debut, but definitely a step up in competition against Una Healy, a BBU veteran and former bantamweight champion. Alice Eve has definitely attracted some attention here in the BBU, most recently from Charlotte Church, who has declared herself Welsh Champion and so, Alice looking to get some championship-level experience from this match. It should be a tough match, win or lose, but Alice doesn't have any intention of doing anything but winning.

Una Healy, however, has been winning since her arrival in the BBU. A talented member of the Saturdays, Una has shown that she can win on any day of week and recently held the bantamweight title before losing it in a close decision to Alesha Dixon. It's going to be a competitive match between the two and both are confident in their abilities prior to the match. Una and Alice exchanging some trash-talk before the match, in this singer-actress match-up, which should be a real test between the two to see some excellent bantam action. Neither of them backing down.

R1: It's a frantic and fast paced start to the contest as both girls come out swinging from the start. Alice is swarmed a bit from the start by the more experienced and taller Una, finding herself pushed backwards towards the ropes. Getting her balance and confidence back after the initial onslaught, rocked by a series of hooks and short punches towards her tummy. Eve, however, fires back with some low shots to Healy's tummy in retaliation. Una is forced to back up as a result for a moment as Eve shows she isn't going to lose easily, if at all. The two of them just going to town on each other's torso as the first round is fairly even, with both girls forced to separate and catch their breathe. The higher volume of punches narrowly award the round to Eve.

R2: Alice comes forward with clear aggression in the second round, eager to follow up, just firing away at Una to whack at her ribs and chest to try to push her back against the ropes. Una is too experienced to let that happen, slipping free away from the ropes with some swift footwork. Una tries to pin Alice against the ropes this time, firing off repeated jabs to break through Eve's defenses and slam her gloves towards Alice's face. Una does succeed towards the end of the round, smacking two swift shots right into Eve's face to rock her backwards. Alice clinches and gets in some good shots of her own into Una's body, but Una's blows to the face earn her the round as Alice is clearly dazed.

R3: Una comes out fired up this round after taking the previous round, going immediately to work with the jab into Alice's body. Occasionally mixing it up with a shot towards Alice's face, forcing her to cover up, but then she'll immediately go back to the body as Alice is shocked by Healy's display this round. Alice tries to clinch, which she is momentarily successful with, but Una keeps pounding again towards the body. Those punches are really taking their toll, Alice breathing hard as she lands a left hook against Una's mouth to display some defiance and momentarily stop Una's assault. Una mostly dominates the round, but Alice doesn't go down and doesn't fall apart, to her credit. However, the flurry of blows from Una clearly award her a second straight round.

R4: Alice comes out a little breathless and Una is eager to capitalize on the success of her strategy in the previous round. Healy keeps using her experience and footwork to move quickly, mixing in combinations of upper and lower body blows to Alice. Alice is not interested in letting herself get bullied around this round by Una, using her right jab to keep Una backwards. Alice hits Una with a wild right hook which stuns the Saturdays star. Alice follows up with some hard shots to the singer's tummy to send her gasping, but Una manages to respond with a popping jab right into Alice's face. Alice staggers backwards and Una takes over down the stretch, ripping her gloves into Alice's body to steal the third straight round late.

R5: Alice is furious about the outcome of the previous round, coming out heated. Swinging wildly, but Una is able to avoid the majority of her blows. Many of Alice's shots connect with her opponent's shoulders and gloves as Una covers up nicely, then responds with peppering shots towards Eve's face to back her up. Alice manages to keep firing away despite taking some punishment and is rewarded with a sneaky right uppercut that slips underneath Una's outstretched gloves. Una's head is snapped backwards and she goes wobbly-butt. Unable to get her gloves up in time as the punch didn't catch her cleanly, but the follow-up cross across her cheek does and Una sits down!! Una is floored – literally – as Eve knocks Healy down. Una is saved by the bell as Eve finally stops Healy's momentum with a big round and knock-down.

R6: Alice follows up with her most aggressive round yet, coming out firing with a flurry of punches to send Una stumbling into the ropes early. Alice catches her in the face with a swift series of combination blows that has Healy's legs trembling again and as she is pinned against the ropes, Alice even manages to pound her jugs with some left and right hooks. Una squeals in frustration, but is unable to respond as effectively as she might hope; still clearly dazed from the knockdown. Alice doesn't go down this round, however, absorbing a lot of punishment with Alice's powerful jabs and hooks to take the round easily. Una getting talked to her in her corner, with a determined gaze in her eyes despite the round.

R7: Una starts the round off with a lot of hard shots towards Alice, but Eve keeps poking that jab forward to slam her fists towards Healy's face and try to break through her guard. Unable to at this point as Healy seems to take this opportunity to catch her breathe as Eve expends a lot of her energy. Healy showing off her experience as she bobs and maneuvers smoothly around the ring as Eve keeps punching against her hard. Alice going to deliver another hook to the jaw, but Una managing to duck underneath it. Una then going to work hard to deliver a few left hooks right into the ribcage of Eve, doubling her opponent over and then smacking her glove with thudding leather into Alice's face. Alice forced to cover up as she stumbles backwards, staggering and Una really recovers this round, pinning Alice against the ropes and just whacking her gloves into Eve's body to take this round.

R8: Both girls coming out hard, punching wildly at one another but Una appearing to land her shots cleaner initially here in the round. Alice is rocked backwards, trying to clinch as she manages to do so again. Stumbling sideways along the ropes as Alice twists, managing to pound her glove with several hooking shots to Una's midsection and reverse their positions to pin Una against the ropes. Healy tries to back Eve up, but Eve keeps pushing forward with a hard shot to her bellybutton again. Una is forced to cover up and drops her guard, Eve just spanking leather off of Una's face as she stumbles backwards. Alice swinging forward, hooking towards Healy's face and tits, landing several blows cleanly but Una keeps fighting back to keep from being knocked down to the canvas. Holding herself up but at the end of the round, Una is clipped with a hard hook that sends her staggering and Una stumbles towards the corner breathless, with Eve taking a round again to tie it up after 8.

R9: Una lunges forward towards Alice and Alice comes forward, trying to rush Una into the ropes and get the knockdown she was denied in the previous round. Alice's gloves whirl through the air, landing with surprising accuracy against Una's chest, shoulders and face, sometimes mixing it up to punch towards her foe's tummy. Una is forced to cover up, backpedaling a bit towards the ropes, but pushes through the punishment to duck underneath what would've been a devastating right hook and deliver a clipping left uppercut underneath Alice's defenses. Alice staggers backwards and it's her turn to retreat. Una senses blood in the water as she just hammers away at breathless blonde to pound down low at her tummy again and as she is forced to cover up her bruised abs, Una just slams her glove upwards in another uppercut to knock Eve down. Eve sprawls to her butt, panting out as she slowly makes her way back up at 8 but runs right into fierce Healy follow up to keep hammering at her ribs and face, but prevents a second knockdown by covering up at the bell. Una takes this round wide with a good display of fighting and an aggressive knockdown.

R10: It's been a wild match so far and the final round is sure to live up to the standards set in the previous rounds. The two of them coming out swinging in this close matchup, though Una seemed to take advantage after a late knockdown in the previous round. Una starts off this round right where she left off the previous round, just slamming her gloves down with drilling rights and lefts into Eve's tummy. Alice is folded over, gasping for air as she staggers backwards. Una comes in quickly, following up in swift pursuit, just whacking her gloves towards Eve's face. Eve is forced to clinch as she pulls Una close and as the ref forces the two to separate, Alice goes on the offensive. Una keeps firing away at Alice, but Alice manages to catch her rival in the face with a solid right jab. Una is caught off guard by this sudden display of power and is even more surprised by the left hook that follows, then the hard straight jab to her face that sends her wobbling and then downright shocked by the right uppercut that forces her to thud down to her butt for a surprising knockdown. Healy rises to her feet at 7, rolling to a standing position as she immediately goes to attack to counter the knockdown, but doesn't have the same power she started the round off with after that surprising display of power by Eve. Eve keeps her guard up and pounds away at Healy at times, bobbing away from Una's attacks to leg out the round and take the match via decision in Round 10 with a come-from-behind knockdown!!!

Post-fight: Alice Eve stuns Una Healy with a late decision to secure a win over a former bantamweight champion to follow up her first match in the BBU. A very close match between the two, but that second knockdown made the difference to give Alice the decision. A win over Clemence Poesy, yet to win in the BBU is one thing, but Una Healy is quite another. If she can go and score a win over her Welsh rival, Charlotte Church, Alice Eve is going to be a force here in the BBU, though Church will definitely be a very competitive test for her. Healy comes out strong, but just caught off guard down the stretch by a very determined Eve. Eve leaping around the ring, high-fiving everyone in sight and punching the air as she brings her BBU record to 2-0 in what appears to be a very good signing for Lookout! Boxing.

Alice Eve and Una Healy share a brief embrace in what appears to be mutual respect – for now. However, it's impossible to hear what the two are saying to one another and the look on their faces as they keep talking suggests that it's not at all encouraging. Eventually, the embrace turns to shoves as the two of them are separated.
