Former champion Lisa hasn’t fought since being beaten up and humiliated by Mary Elizabeth Winstead, a defeat which ended a reasonable run of results, but the shapely Sarah looks a hand-picked opponent for her, the blonde having been absent from the ring this year, and with a very poor record.

Sarah looks pretty damn fine in a maroon bra and panties set, with Lisa – well just drop dead gorgeous in a white and black striped leather bikini.

Round 1

These two singers have exchanged unpleasantries leading up to this fight, and it’s this is clear as both Maffia and Harding almost immediately show they don't like each other with a series of two-way punches that would have knocked out many girls. Lisa has always been able to dish out the punishment, but she’s surprised by Sarah’s resilience tonight, and also by the power she’s showing in return, as the fierce exchanges continue, with Sarah beginning to land good right hands in Lisa’s face, especially in the final moments, although perhaps not with the same intensity. However, Maffia’s looking a little sluggish at the end of the round, with Harding more bubbly and keen.

Round 2

If Lisa was surprised before, she looks devastated now, because Sarah Harding is just pouring on her, and she’s thudding shots into Lisa’s body, then she switches, bats the girl in the face with a left, then a right, and Lisa is down! This is shocking for Lisa, she's on all fours with apparently no idea of why she is there. Lisa gets up at 6, but Sarah just keeps at her, smacking the former champ all around the ring, and giving her a beating to the body just now, crippling her with left hands, and the pace of her attacks is looking too much for Ms Maffia, who looks shabby at the end of a very strong round for Sarah.

Round 3

Suddenly, Lisa Maffia seems back on track, and she keeps herself well protected now, keen to escape punishment from a girl she was supposed to batter, and now she looks up for this at last, and she goes at Sarah, thumping the willowy blonde around the body. Harding’s not looking too shabby though, and she defends really well, answers Lisa back, and gives her a couple of stinging left hooks to the face. Lisa has to step back, and she’s bleeding from the mouth quite badly, but she slips inside Sarah’s guard, and at last hurts the girl, tagging her hard, and making her take some backward steps at last.

Round 4

The fight now becomes an exchange of punches, with both girls unloading without really thinking of defence. Back and forth they go, but Lisa Maffia again seems to have a problem with those short-range exchanges, and Sarah’s giving her some punishment in close. This looking bad for Lisa, with Sarah bopping her face around for fun, and the former champ look done in, her face a mask of blood from what looks like a badly damaged nose, and that’s another round to Sarah.

Round 5

Lisa comes out blasting form her left and right gloves, but Sarah punches back, and she’s punching hard, too! This is a disaster for Maffia! Sarah catches her early with a left to the ribs, and a right to the face, then another, and she forces her to the ropes, then, with little coming back from the former champ, the blonde gets really stuck into her, gives her a good uppercut to the chin and sends her down again! Maffia uses the ropes to get on her feet at 6, but she’s not really steady on her feet, and she gets caught again by Sarah, tries to clinch but she's not effective and Sarah finds her chin again! Maffia’s on her knees, sobbing, able to get back up at 8 this time, but with her pride shaken by the two knockdowns, and she looks a broken girl.

Round 6

Out comes a bleeding Lisa Maffia, and she’s doing what she can here, but now Sarah’s almost toying with her, letting her get in close, then thudding punches into her face, making her hold, then giving her body a beating. Lisa’s in trouble again, gets pinned to the ropes, and she takes a battering to her body, the girl beginning to weaken and whinge. The ref breaks them, but Sarah’s just so quick tonight, she’s tagging Lisa every time, and the black girl’s face is really swollen now, her lips bleeding,ad her nose looking like it may be broken.

Round 7

Again Lisa is all aggressive off her stool, but Sarah just lets her come forward, picks her off with such ease, then draws her inside, giving her body yet another workover. This is not the Lisa Maffia we’re used to seeing, and she’s hurt again when Sarah sinks a left into her belly, and almost defenceless as the blonde pushes her back, sizes her up, then wipes her to and fro with good punches, a right hook putting the girl down for a fourth time, her spirit surely broken, and the round ends with Lisa getting beaten up in Sarah’s corner.

Round 8

Lisa’s active from the start, but she’sfrustrated by Sarah's speed and precision, and she’s finding the blonde just too much for her tonight. Lisa’s trying to hit the Girls Aloud blonde, trying to scorer points, but she’s getting tagged too, and it’s maybe a little sad to see her taking a beating from Sarah Harding, who is now clearly tiring, but still has too much for the former champion. Sarah’s so comfortable in this fight, and she’s more or less closed Lisa’s right eye, with blood trickling down from a cut over the left.

Round 9

Lisa needs to fight back – and she does! The former champion finally finds some rhythm, and she’s getting in closer to Sarah and beating the blonde around the ribs. A tired Lisa Maffia is swinging her arms out of desperation here, but she finally hits Sarah hard enough to make her drop back and cover up. This is what Lisa thought she’d be doing from the start, and she’s just about nailing Sarah now, the blonde being forced to clinch and hold, and Lisa’s right hook has her knees buckling on a couple of occasions. The round goes to Lisa, but this is nowhere near enough to make the fight even.

Round 10

Lisa’s after Sarah from the bell, but the blonde girl’s too active for the exhausted former champion to catch, and there’s more desperation and frustration for Lisa to suffer as Sarah is able to simply dance away from her. Midway through the round, Lisa lands a good left hand to Sarah’s body, and that slows her down, and now Lisa can tag her, and she gives her a neat right cross which has her stumbling, and shaking her head as she lays on the ropes. Maffia’s pouring in on Harding now, doing everything she can against a girl who has given everything she’s got tonight, but she doesn't have lucidity and power anymore here, and Sarah’s leaning into her and holding her firmly. Long clinching moments later, and the bell rings for the final time, and it's clear this goes to a Harding victory.

Well that was a shock! Lisa is just inconsolable, but Sarah is jubilant. She gave this fight her full attention, and she got the result – could this be the start of something for the leggy blonde?
