Before: Sarah looking to separate herself from the pack--she edged Kelly Packard last time out, now a victory over Marcil would put Gellar back on Claire Danes’ doorstep. Marcil not wanting to get left behind after a heartbreaking loss to Jennifer Love Hewitt--all just typical jockeying for position in boxing’s feistiest division. “You’re not going to get the snooze-fest Gellar put on with Packard,” guarantees Vanessa in preflight. “I’ll bring out the daytime in Sarah--just before I lay her down to sleep!” Vanessa in soft pink cashmere bikini, Sarah inn white bikini, slick ponytail.

During R1: Girls meet midring, furious quick mitted trade--ends when Gellar slips a ‘Nessa right, comes back a hook and SITS MARCIL DOWN! Vanessa shook-takes 8 at the ropes all snivelly and hurt ON COMES SARAHG! Gellar turning puncher with an hurting vixen into a cringing Vanessa Marcil. Sarah gritting her teeth, leaning forward, elbows in at her hips as she swings away tight n’ tasty to the body, finally easing up after pouring a tremendous barrage onto trembling brunette. Final minute more measured, safer stuff from Sarah--prodding Vanessa the jab at the ropes, keeping her covered up, placing the slinging right hand amidships and popping on the ear at the bell.

R2: Shutout Gellar--slick n’ savvy. Sarah showing “Nessa the chopping jab, just keeping it on the brunette, buttering her with it, sliding to the left around it, or stepping out to change distance. Van with the high guard, tentative--she’s still rattled from the rub down she took in the first. SMG able to prowl, circle with supple flat footed pivots, slicing the occasional right hand in wide to jaw or body, patiently breaking Marcil down.

R3: Spirited trade midring--Sarah standing and going lick for lick to hasten Marcil’s demise. Vanessa starting to turn over those wide, winging haymakers, looking to one side, twisting her entire torso and pulling the shots around an almost hyper extended elbow--crowd hooting and hollering at these gaudy displays. Gellar tighter, tidier--going with little shoe shining flurries to tummy and tits, straight one-twos up top, getting ‘em up inside brunette’s wider blows. Down the stretch, Gellar picking away at Marcil bouncing compact lefts and rights off Vanessa’s face, leaning away and taking a CRASHING left flush on the face! Gellar stunned, weaving, for a moment, then taking a knee as Vanessa just misses a looping right hand--ref bodies the excited brunette back as Sarah takes 8 at the bell.

R4: Vanessa’s turn to rack up points--she stampedes Gellar around the ring, tackling her into the ropes,. Scrounging at her, plugging gut with thumping lefts and rights, going jug with scrubbing shoeshines, walking Gellar down as she reels away in retreat. Sarah’s cheeks and face starting to shine with punishment--Vanessa unleashing her twisting haymakers, but also tightening up and going at Gellar with chugging, compact work on the inside--it’s a thorough beat down bell to bell.

R5: Vanessa gets it going early--stunning Gellar with a sweeping wallop on the left eat, raking her with lefts in the ribs, hurting her with a swinging right square to the belly then dropping her to all fours under a girlish hail of pin wheeling lefts and rights, Vanessa bodied back all snarling and kicking in protest--Gellar shaky, drawling to the ropes and climbing to her feet-- she’s bleeding from the nose, looking scared and woozy. Marcil storms in after 8, slugging from her hips with carefree abandon--crowd pleasing stuff as Vanessa lights it up. Sarah elbows in, gloves up, bending at the waist, rolling side to side--she’s getting scuffed up, but staying composed, defending herself well. Storm starts to subside late--’Nessa still loading up and trying for the kill, but Sarah’s able to block and roll, getting odd little nibbling counter uppercut onto Marcil’s chin. Final moments--Sarah up against the ropes, chops a sudden counter right down onto Vanessa’s cheek, steps to the side, and VANESSA SPUTTERS TO ALL FOURS! Face first in ropes. Marcil up, chest heaving, eyes glassy at the bell--Sarah converts the 10-8 into the 10-9 with vintage work off the ropes.

R6: Vanessa swinging wildly in the first minute--Gellar reading it well, ducking low, swiveling around the side--blonde makes brunette look amateurish early. Marcil tightens up, makes adjustments--starts finding Gellar with the jab, just touching her, measuring her, negotiating her to the ropes. Second minute--Marcil able to stabilize Gellar somewhat, jabbing to the chest, then looping home hard right hands up around the guard or swinging to the flank--good spanking shots have Gellar hanging on. Down the stretch, Gellar’s back to the ropes--she’s hurting, but looking for that counter right hand that turned the tables last round. Marcil reaching in under Sarah’s arms, bodying her into the strands, then PUMPS TO CROTCH with tidy little lefts and rights, body neatly covering the infraction, Gellar slumps in agony, whining in protest and Vanessa TAGS a chin a clocking left, coming up swift from the crouch, Poor Sarah in swoon, looking to clinch--Vanessa beats her back with a volley of short, rising lefts and rights to the breasts, then HELPS HERSELF! Gellar defenceless, soaking up wallop on her drowsy face--Marcil unleashing the hounds and THE REF STEPS IN! TKO6 Vanessa Marcil as skullduggery goes unnoticed, even rewarded.

After: Bitter protest from Gellar as she succumbs to a little crotch music--blatant foul rendered the blonde helpless just long enough for Marcil to pile on a stop her, Vanessa grinning, unrepentant--flyweight traction just very hard to come by as names have a hard time putting down other names on a consistent basis.
