Before: Milano’s all about Dani Fishel in prefight, completely overlooking her buxom blonde opponent. “Yes I saw the ESPN special on Fishel. What did I think? The whole show should have called ‘Alyssa’s Left Hook’—that’s all you need to know about Dani Fishel—how I dug out her right side and left her a blubbery wreck. I can’t believe the nerve of TE and that tramp—a WHOLE SHOW dedicated to her. Who the hell approved that at ESPN? It’s ridiculous to think…” on and on—you get the picture. Simpson comparatively focused—she’s in the best shape of her life, had some hard rounds this year and feeling confident. “I’m coming at Alyssa with everything I’ve got,” says the young blonde. “Milano wants to obsess about Dani, that’s okay with me.” Milano in pea green bikini top, spaghetti bra straps, gold loop between the cups, pale blue bikini bottoms—Jessica in black push up, blues and whites splash print bikini bottoms.
During R1: Alyssa pushing into her blonde, leading ruff with her close-cropped head to butt Jessica in the cheek and set the tone. Milano moving her hands, bobbing into and up out of a fighting crouch while packing Simpson’s middle with rights and lefts. Alyssa turning tight hooks across Jessica’ s bra, working those plump jugs with a snarl. Simpson standing her ground back at the brunette—Jess offering sturdy blonde donnybrook in answer to Milano’s early roughhouse. Simpsy trading hooks to jug and drawing outraged shouts from Milano. Backing her up a step, putting the right hand short behind the ear. Down the stretch, Alyssa stops punching—covering up as Simpson helps herself to the waistline pump-thumping lefts and rights to bludgeon ‘Lyss to the ropes behind a tight guard, soaking it up at the bell.
R2: Milano deliberately coming forward with her head, trying to maim Jessica’s face—blonde guarding high, stepping out on the rushes, dipping and running brunette belly onto a pumping right counter. Alyssa grunting on impact, early rushes aborted as Simpson pounds away on taut midriff—blonde takes over as Alyssa backs off to regroup. Milano holding her guard at he temples, unhappily taking on her stomach as Jessica shoulders into her, crowding close and cramming non-stop punches to breadbasket. Milano’s back hits the ropes—Simpsy squares away, straightening to get after Alyssa’s plump jug with stuffing, rising lefts and rights, Milano crying out, reaching to clinch—Jessica proving her strength, stacking the brunette up, holding her down for breaks. All Simpson as she pours it on, discouraging Milano to the gut, picking her up with tight, curling uppercuts between the mitts—Alyssa’s defence starting to break down as she ships leather on her face. Down the stretch, Jessica has Alyssa swooning from blunt uppercuts on the teeth, blonde shifts her feet and gets EVERYTHING behind spiteful, determined right hands in behind the left elbow. Shunting, flat-knuckle impacts hammer home—Milano whimpering, cringing and GOING DOWN ON HER HAUNCHES! It’s OVER! KO2 Jessica Simpson!
After: Milano sobbing, hugging herself in a little puddle of disappointment—Simpson strutting the ring all brawny, really feeling it tonight and going right after the favoured, though rusty brunette. “I knew if Alyssa was looking past me, she’s be in trouble,: a bubbling Simpson tells media in post fight. “I’m in the best shape of any girl south of 120, I’m stronger than I’ve ever been and you saw the result: Alyssa just couldn’t take my punches. I think I’m overlooked at flyweight or bantamweight and I can surprise a lot of girls—I’m no Rachel Stevens—not anymore.”
