Foxfire Atlantic Boxing vs Marti's Maulers card kicks off with the blonde Dutch model Sylvie van der Vaart taking on a brunette newcomer Emma Pierson. Van der Vaart made a poor start to her BBU career losing her first three fights but then came back to knock out Nadine Coyle. Pierson's hardly impressed by that resume and belives she can demolish the blonde model tonight to celebrate her BBU introduction in fine style. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Emma goes on the early attack and throws several jabs to the midsection but Sylvie squares up to her and flicks some hooks around the head. She can't reach the target though and lets herself exposed badly as the brunette bangs more jabs to the breasts and forces the blonde back. Sylvie begins to circle around but Emma comes forward, throws more shots to the body and menaces the model for remainder of the round. Pierson looks keen to enforce some presence and her high-tempo efforts keep the Dutch girl on the back foot without great prospects.

Round 2:
Pierson jumps up to the model again, slams her in the ribcage, bangs an uppercut to the chin and soon pushes the blonde to the ropes with more jabs to the breasts. Sylvie looks to be overwhelmed by this early onslaught and is forced to cover up, but Emma pounds her with no sympathy regardless. More punches to the stomach and van der Vaart leans back on the ropes, really suffering badly but she keeps the high-guard and Emma can't land anything significant on the head. Nonetherless she keeps the Dutch model pinned against the ropes all the way through as Sylvie was totally overpowered in the second round.

Round 3:
Van der Vaart shows some hesitation, circles around the ring early, but Emma squares up to her and looks to continue on her impressive start to this bout. More blows land on the Dutchwoman's midsection and Pierson's happy with that, drives her head low and keeps lashing out at that particular target. Sylvie drops her arms, tries to cover her stomach as she's wincing in pain already but manages to stop the brunette's rout and clinch her. Emma had a chance to target the head for a while but was focused on the midsection losing the opportunity and moreover got clinched by the older rival. Sylvie bides some time, pushes and shoves with Emma in the closing minute as even the ref has some troubles with separating them before the bell halts the action alltogether.

Round 4:
Pierson just won't let go of her blonde opponent, another forward charge from the Maulers' girl and the midsection pounding is up for another showing. Sylvie knows what's gonna happen, doesn't raise her arms anymore and keeps covering her stomach as Emma almost headbutts her with aggressive leap. Sylvie weaves around and avoids getting nailed on the chin but fires some response in close range, overhand right laces Pierson on the cheek, but the brunette's in a red-mist mode, ignores that and throws wild slaps to the ribs, forces van der Vaart to retreat. But the Dutch model fails to step into safety, big left hook nails her on the breasts and pushes to the ropes. Emma sends a high hook totally surprising her foe and the blonde's head snaps back, right follow-up on the cheek and the model's hurt! She wants to cover up or clinch but Emma cross-hooks her on the nose, throws another to the ribs, right jab on the mouth... a series of devastating shots and DOWN GOES VAN DER VAART sliding on her backside.. Impressive combination proved too much for Sylvie to handle and left her face swollen in space of seconds... Emma grits her teeth, slashes her hand across the throat.. "You're all mine now, you blonde cunt!!!" Sylvie throws her a death stare and gets up at seven, looking second-best physically, but the rookie brunette might have just unleashed the demons. Pierson tries to finish the Foxfire girl off, but van der Vaart suddenly leaps forward, almost headbutts her in the face and with some jabbing to the stomach pushes the brunette away to survive the round in once piece. However it's all Pierson so far and it's not even close.

Round 5:
Sylvie's face is bruised and swollen but she keeps staring at her rival during the interval. Emma sports a broad smile but back in the ring she's struggling to kill this bout off as van der Vaart ducks low, lands some vicious jabs to the guts and pushes the brunette away into safety. Emma wants to close the distance, but the blonde's footwork improves dramatically, that knockdown truly served as a wake-up call and forced her to somewhat change the tactics. Sylvie leaps back and forth, throws single shots to the head and body; Emma tries to walk her down, but must fend off the menacing attacks, nothing too fancy and really dangerous but enough to keep the brunette focused. Pierson targets the midsection again, but van der Vaart does a much better avoidance job now and that gets her foe annoyed. Late in the round Sylvie catches Pierson with a stiff jab between the mitts and snaps her head. Emma spits out her mouthpiece in frustration as she walks back to her stool. A great chance to knock the Dutch girl down has seemingly gone begging.

Round 6:
Sylvie continues to impress with her footwork, fatigue not a factor in her performance just yet and in fact it's the brunette breathing more heavily on her BBU debut. Indeed van der Vaart clearly shows more speed and agility across the canvas and keeps landing single shots from mid-range as Emma can't nail her favorable midsection punches anymore which did so much damage to Sylvie in the early rounds. It's almost like the veteran let the rookie wear herself out and now wants to impress the judges with some methodical and artistic display. Has the boat sailed for the brunette? Blonde easily keeps her at bay throughout the round and scores punches to the body, swings some around the head, but Emma covers up well for those and avoids getting into more trouble.

Round 7:
The momentum has firmly switched in this bout. Emma suddenly looks sluggish, perhaps she wasn't physically prepared to endure more than five or six round and it's showing badly. Sylvie's three years older but dug deep to knock Nadine Coyle out in nine rounds and wants to repeat that performance. She finds more accuracy with her shots now, especially to the head and breaks through the brunette's mitts on a regular basis. Emma's stunned by this performance, she literally had the blonde at her mercy after the fourth but can't get anything going just three rounds later. She keeps crashing off the forearms with her low jabbing and harmlessly misses the blonde's head as Sylvie's very lively on her feet and still showing little signs of fatigue. Instead she pushes the brunette against the ropes and cleans out her midsection in the final minute, bends her down right in the dying seconds and whips a vicious uppercut to the chest which nearly had Emma falling forward on her knees. Bell saves her from a shocking knockdown as van der Vaart looked poised for some serious destruction. Now it's the blonde who vocally abuses her rival: "Who's done now, you wimp?"

Round 8:
Emma tries to overcome the blonde's charge, but fails to connect with her face and Sylvie pours in with low jabs to the midsection, truly overwhelms the fading brunette now and pushes her to the ropes within seconds off the bell. Emma leaps to the side, but remains pinned in danger zone and the Dutch model opens up from both flanks, peppers her repeatedly in the ribs and chest, flicks a couple of hooks to the head, makes the brunette moan in pain. Under the barrage Pierson is finally rooted to the spot, covers up and just wants to hang on but Sylvie shows little sympathy and pounds her with no resistance whatsoever. Loud moans mark this round as Emma remains upright but visibly hurt, breathing heavily and face-swollen as the blonde cut through her mitts several times during that rampant performance.

Round 9:
Emma shakes her head while sitting on the stool. She's lost all the early advantage and now looks to force a decision more than anything else. On the other hand van der Vaart feels she's not done enough to overcome that early knockdown. It's more aggression from the blonde as Emma's struggling for breath and unable to prevent her foe from closing her down. More jabs to the body and head-snapping hooks from Sylvie, Pierson just a walking prey now. Vicious combo to the ribcage bends the brunette in half and Sylvie cracks a great uppercut to the chin which sends PIERSON SPAWLING ACROSS THE CANVAS!!! Almost the inevitable happened as Emma's empty tanks left her exposed badly and the blonde pounced on the opportunity. However the Maulers' girl's fighting spirit is still there, she hopes for that verdict and gets up at seven, looking very bleak but willing to slug it out again. Sylvie's not impressed, bangs more shots to the ribcage as Emma covers up her face and leans back on the ropes. Van der Vaart barks with every unloaded shot, wants to send her opponent down and out for good, but can't get it done before the bell. Pierson survives a horrible round but can't even walk back to her stool, she's too exhausted.

Round 10:
Sylvie finally shows some signs of fatigue, that aggressive charge in the previous three rounds left her breathing very heavily and she might settle for a decision as well. She comes out for the final round with more swinging hooks and jabs but lacks the venom and reverts into some body-peppering from mid-range. Emma throws weak single shots in response, fails to reach the flesh and clinches in the middle of the ring. Van der Vaart's happy to follow suit and the final round is somewhat anti-climatic. No last-ditch KO as both women settle for a decision and remain locked in a clinch almost all throughout the round. At the bell Sylvie raises her arms and Emma drops her chin, probably feels that lasting the distance on her BBU debut is the only thing she will celebrate tonight.

After ten rounds of boxing we go to the scorecards... Judges score the bout 97-96, 97-95 and 97-95 all for your winner through unanimous decision... SYLVIE VAN DER VAART!!!

Post-fight:
It was a close decision in the end and that push in the final rounds was enough for the blonde model to secure a very hard-fought victory. She doesn't care about the narrow manner of her win though as she celebrates with both arms raised in the air and blowing kisses to the crowd soon afterwards. Emma's head slumps between her shoulders, she ignores any eye-contact with her opponent and quickly disappears in the locker room after the verdict was announced. Sylvie hardly bothers to glance at her as she's already looking for her next opponent and texting messages with husband Rafael in her corner. Foxfire Atlantic Boxing's executives will surely receive some challenges soon as Sylvie slowly begins to find her stride in BBU after a very poor start.
