It's another debut for the Marti's Maulers as Pollyanna Woodward takes on the experienced Leilani Dowding. The Foxfire Atlantic brunette doesn't belong to the elite fighters of the division but has won seven of fourteen fights already and serves as a dangerous floater especially for newcomers like Woodward. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Leilani wastes little time and rips into the blonde with a jabbing sequence to the stomach, flicks some shots to the chest and forces Pollyanna back. She hassles her around the ring thereafter, obviously tries to impose some authority and Woodward throws single punches in response, grazes the brunette's flesh but gets nailed in the guts just before the bell and looks stunned by the opening three minutes of her BBU career.

Round 2:
More attack from Dowding, she continues with the high-tempo jabbing and overwhelms the blonde quickly. Woodward tries some hooks to the head, but misses the target and takes more blows on the chest, leaps back in response and invites the brunette into more action. Leilani's fast across the canvas, pummels the slower blonde to the body but can't trap her along the ropes and inflict some real damage. Pollyanna must be tired of her retreating tactics, but she can't switch the momentum away from her rival at the end of the second round.

Round 3:
Leilani fakes some low jabs, but cross-hooks Woodward in the mouth moments later and pounds her in the ribcage after closing the distance. Pollyanna winces in pain, but cracks an overhand that nails the brunette on the cheek and both both clinch in the center of the ring. Some low jabs to the kidneys from Dowding, but ref doesn't step in, Woodward shoves her away on her own and slams a straight jab to the mouth, right between the gloves. Leilani looks stunned by that one, small lapse of focus on her part, but Woodward leaps back instead of punishing her foe, a rookie mistake really and the action fades as the round concludes.

Round 4:
Dowding storms out of her stool again, cracks several low jabs, but catches the forearms and another overhand from Pollyanna cleans out the brunette's cheek. Left hook to the guts bends Leilani down and Woodward finally steps in more aggressively, pummels the briefly stranded rival in the body, uppercuts her in the chest as Dowding wants to clinch but gets nailed and loses her footing. Left hook on the temple as Dowding covered up not quickly enough.. right hook on the ribs, Polyanna works more venom, another left around the arms and Leilani falls forward, gets laced in the chest by another low jab and DOWN SHE GOES ON HER KNEES!!! Shocking knockdown from the blonde, but Dowding gets up at five and looks absolutely livid. She leaps after the Maulers' girl, but her efforts are very chaotic and Woodward easily maintains the distance, allows the brunette to lose some energy and Leilani is truly beside herself at the bell.

Round 5:
Woodward knows she's annoyed Leilani with that knockdown and stays at distance again, but the brunette is leaping all around her, throwing jabs to the chest and body, flicks some hooks around the head, but the blonde weaves around them well. Pollyanna has seemingly found some confidence in the ring and now matches her foe's speed and agility or is that down to the older girl slowly wearing herself out? Jabbing sequence from Dowding crashes off the forearms and Pollyanna nails her with another overhand right, Leilani was all offence so far and gets badly exposed now, allows the blonde to push her back and loses second round on the spin with a very sluggish performance.

Round 6:
Pollyanna keeps her composure, doesn't rush things as she knows Leilani will come after her instead. That's exactly what happens and the low jabs don't connect with the ribcage and stomach anymore, Dowding loses the sharpness and her efforts are ineffective for most part of the round. Woodward counters with hooks to the head, grazes the cheeks with some of them, but is far from another knockdown and both girls lock themselves into a clinch late in the going, ref tries to shove Dowding away, but she cracks another rabbit shots to the kidneys and finally gets lectured. Ugly piece of boxing in this round, both women seemingly wanted to catch some respite before the final push in the remaining rounds.

Round 7:
Dowding still looks relatively fresh and in fact both girls carry little scars from this fight. Lots of punches have been thrown but the damage caused is minimal. The midset is there for the brunette as she lands more shots on the body, but Woodward covers up impressively, one wonders whether Leilani's effort will be rewarded but the blonde sticks to her counter plan. She produces less shots but they are more precise and somewhat heavier. Another overhand on the cheek briefly halts Dowding's attack and Woodward throws a series to the ribcage, pushes her opponent back and looks to trap her along the ropes but here's Leilani with a big hook on the temple restoring some pride. Pollyanna immediately retreats, forces Dowding to hassle her and now the speed isn't there for the brunette as Woodward drops her arms and teases her with some flamboyant body-language.

Round 8:
Leilani stays back, another moment of respite for the older girl and Woodward pounces on the opportunity, leaps after the brunette and splits her mitts with a belter of a hook. Dowding was quick enough to raise her gloves, but the brute force behind that punch broke her down anyway. Left hook on the cheek follows and Leilani's head snaps back as Pollyanna scores another hit, slams the aching opponent in the mouth and backs her against the ropes for good. Dowding winces loudly now, takes some punishment to the ribcage, tries to respond, but gets countered instead as the blonde nails her rack. Woodward in much better physical shape, works some high-tempo jabbing and keeps her foe pinned and sagging on the ropes. Late in the round she finally drops her tempo, obviously feeling the heat herself but Leilani looks to be running on empty and unable to find any response.

Round 9:
Roles have reversed in the penultimate round, Woodward now with the intimidating tactics, repeated shots to the chest and body as Dowding struggles for breath. She covers up, tries some avoidance moves, but can't match the blonde's speed and allows her to score easy shots to the flesh. Woodward flicks some hooks to the head, snaps it back several times and Leilani leans back on the ropes, unable to tame the agile blonde whatsoever. Pollyanna with single-striking execution to the body, Dowding all covered up in full survival mode and she just manages to withstand the onslaught as Woodward forces a clinch in the final minute. Both girls are visibly tired before the final round, but Leilani truly looks worse of the two. This poor finish might cost her the decision as one feels a final round KO just ain't gonna happen.

Round 10:
Indeed both girls are happy to wait for the judges decision as the pace in the final round is very slow and neither of them shows any signs of attack. Dowding threw more punches and was the aggressor for majority of the time but faded badly towards the end and Woodward got that knockdown to help her cause as well. Some blatant clinching in the final minute but even the audience is eager to know the verdict already as both girls continue to shove each other around the ring rather then fight properly. The final bell is met with visible relief and both girls hug each other in a sign of respect. Leilani was very annoyed during the fight itself but Pollyanna impressed both her and the entire crowd with some mature display of boxing tonight.

After ten rounds of boxing we go to the scorecards... Judges score the bout 98-96, 98-95 and 98-95 all for your winner through unanimous decision... POLLYANNA WOODWARD!!!

Post-fight:
Blonde's hand is raised and there's more visible respect between the rivals. Another hug between the girls as Leilani immediately leaves the ring, undoubtfully to analyze this fight with the Foxfire Atlantic executives. She just couldn't hurt Woodward enough if at all tonight and the Maulers' blonde looked like she's been having some underground boxing fights before. That was very mature boxing from the rookie if not all that spectacular. However she produced as impressive showing as Natasha Hamilton before but against a better opponent so probably deserves more credit than her stablemate. It's the third win for the Maulers tonight and they've still got the highly-touted Georgia Salpa to come next.
