Vanessa Hudgens versus Lucy Hale
(words by Lookout! and results by Sim)

Before: This is the first of two contests between Lookout! flyweights against one of the shining stars of Pretty Little Liars. From the starts, it's clear that Hudgens and Hale will not be getting along.

“Vanessa is over. She hit the high point of her career against Williams and she's gone downhill ever since. Seriously, when did people ever take Hudgens seriously? Nessa has been sliding down the hill towards the edge of the cliff for a long time and it's time for me to just push her right over the edge. Time to finish her off!” Hale declares emphatically her intentions prior to the match.

Nessa just smirks, “At least I've been successful – I've been to the top, been the champ and guess what? I'll get there again. But, Hale, when has she ever been taken seriously? She can't win against fighters in the BBU and she definitely can't handle me over here! If anybody is going to be finished after tonight, it'll be little Lucy. Count on it. Time to get started again on what I love to do best – beating down jealous losers! ”

Vanessa wearing a leopard print bikini with black gloves, reminiscent of her upcoming role in the Machete sequel. Lucy wearing a light purple bikini and white gloves. Hudgens sending a little jab down into Hale's tummy when the two meet to touch gloves as Hale swings a roundhouse towards Nessa's head, but ref separates the two before it connects.

R1: There's no better phrase to describe what Vanessa does in the first round than Hudgens just beats the hell out of her. Hudgens comes out, doing some swift little jabbing at first, but then switches over to suddenly sending out brutal rights and left towards Hale's head. Lucy caught off guard, covering up as Vanessa bullies her back along the ropes. Lucy is pressed backwards, stumbling and wobbly-butt as Vanessa fires off, gloves spanking leather off of Hale's tummy and torso. Left and right shots batter along her belly, then transition up towards her head and shoulders. Lucy taking it bravely as she manages to stagger into the corner to hold her up, just absorbing the punishment as Vanessa fires repeated shots over and over into Hale's belly, body and head without hardly anything returning in response. Nessa looking like a tyrant as she shoves Hale back into the corner at bell – blistering eye contact from Nessa but Hale doesn't shrink back.

R2: You learn that the best way to deal with a bully is to stand up to them and that's a lesson Hale seems to take to heart this round. The two of them wade into the center of the ring, trading in shots back and forth. Face-to-face and toe-to-toe, Lucy pounds in her gloves in whirling little motions – body whirling as she just moves quickly and Vanessa touches up Lucy in response. Just pounding and slamming in her gloves hard, the two of them maneuver in a tight circle, but the frisky hup-hup delivery of Lucy wins the round in close, able to outhit Hudgens as she rips off a few hard shots late.

R3: The next round is more of the same at the start – both fighters immediately heading into the center of the ring as they poke and jab at each other in aggressive fashion. Both of them trading even shots, Lucy undaunted as Nessa tries to jab her backwards as the two just whack away at each other's body – Nessa working on Hale's torso and Lucy firing back at Hudgen's tummy in a determined response. The two of them pounding at each other to a standstill, but down the stretch, Hudgens manages to drift in a hard shot to Hale's cheek which dazes her brunette rival and then proceeds to light her up from there.
It's savage stuff as Hudgens just sends in hard spanking shots to Lucy's body, torso, belly and jugs. Every time Hale tries to fight back, Nessa will pound a hard shot to Hale's kidneys – right behind the elbow as Hale shouts about being fouled. Nessa doing her best to look innocent, but keeps punishing Lucy after the bell, just tagging Hale around her ribs. The ref steps in swiftly as Hudgens steps back, holding her hands up in a “Who me?” look as Hale complaints bitterly about being fouled.

R4: The bitter battle continues into this round as well as through three, it appears that Lucy is outclassed overall but Lucy will not back down. Not one inch. The two of them just slugging away. The two of them fighting nearly in a phone booth, battering away at one another's ribs, abs and jugs. It's a close round between the two with their gloves just licking away at one another's body, but Nessa takes the round close as she imposes her will down the stretch and Lucy doesn't retreat, but is outgunned.
R5: Nessa surprisingly shows some class this round after the slugging nature of the previous rounds, letting Lucy come forward and then bobbing out, tidying up with shots to the body and then frequently switching it up to the chin or jugs. Touching Hale up for points throughout the round, just cleaning up as Nessa forces Hale to pursue, then pounds away at her brunette foe repeatedly. Bumping Hale backwards as her legs give a shimmy, but Hale doesn't go down and keeps fighting despite getting controlled throughout the round.

R6: Lucy is a little dazed after the display of patient boxing from Hudgens last round, but picks her spots this time around. Getting some pesky shots in to jugs or cheek, touching Nessa up but Vanessa is getting into full bully-mode now. Eyes narrowing, Nessa pushes her back to the ropes. Hale tries to hold her ground, but Hudgens smothers her against the ropes. Managing to absorb the ocassional shot from Lucy, Nessa pushes forward off of her lead leg to just stuff shots down to Lucy's tummy or clouting jabs to her jugs to take this round.

R7: Lucy won't go away! Nessa is pounced from the outset of this round, getting crowded the moment she comes out from her corner as Lucy fights small and scrappy. Coming in hard, her mitts whirling at Nessa as she bumps shoulders, hips and bodies to push Nessa backwards. The two of them fighting hard, trading left/rights that ring off of each other's torso, tummies and just storming through each other's defenses to poke at each other's jugs. Jabbing towards one another as the two push at each other, pounding away but it's Lucy's round as she takes it out on points. Nessa angry and Lucy determined as they head back to their corners.

R8: Vanessa is forced to regroup after her showing last round and she certainly does. Hale comes forward to try to smother and get Nessa back against the ropes, but Vanessa shows off some cute Disney boxing this round. Every time Hale comes forward again, Nessa sends off some double-jabs, blocking or bobbing away, then pumping the jab into Lucy's belly-button, seeming to use it as a target for the first minute, then switching to her ribs, her jugs and then her face. Hale is rocked in a shut-out this round, Nessa patiently working the jab to knock Hale backwards every time she lands a shot.

R9: Hale is clearly frustrated after the last round, but Nessa is definitely confident and that's on full display as the round starts. It's a complete contrast as Hudgens just pours on the punishment to Hale. Lucy is brave at first, just swinging wildly towards Vanessa but her outputs seems to slow down after the first minute and she's just forced to cover up. A series of brutal lefts and rights to the torso/ribs has Hale sagging into the ropes, covering up as she coughs out. Tummy turning pink and so is her face, just trying to spin free but Nessa blocks off her retreat with a left hook that spins her sideways. Hale steps into the other direction for a right hook, then a neat little uppercut that forces her to spill down parallel to the ropes. Vanessa almost looks like she wants to pounce down on Hale on the canvas and the ref steps in to avert any follow-up from Hudgens. After two minutes of hard-hitting blows from Nessa, Hale is unable to get up in the final minute as her leg kicks along the canvas, squirming in agony with arms hugging around her abs while the ref awards the match to Vanessa Hudgens via KO9!

After: Hale laying along the edge of the canvas, right near the ropes as Nessa brushes past the ref, sending out the sole of her foot against Hale's side, pushing forward to shoving her out of the ring as she lands onto the sand with a soft thump, accompanied by a loud squeal. Nessa smirks, crowing to reporters: “Guess who got pushed over the edge? Wasn't me, was it? Nope. I'm back! Hale is going to be just the start. I'm going to storm right back to the top and anybody else who gets in my way, I'm going to push them right out of my ring too, understand?”

Hudgens very confident following the win, taunting PLL cast-mate Troi Bellisario and even verbally sparring with her friend and Spring Breakers cast-mate, Ashley Benson as they helped rouse Lucy from the sand following her unexpected descent. Hudgens celebrates with Ashley Tisdale and Brenda Song as they prepare for the next match, with Nessa very exuberant with her win, leaping around
