The welterweight undercard features a couple of unbeaten hard-punching experts. Tamsin Egerton has fought just four times in the past year but is finally given her break-through opportunity against PageThrees' buxom model Nicola McLean who impressed the BBU experts by racking up four wins in space of six months including a massive upset over former champion Sabrina Washington. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the welterweight division.

Round 1:
McLean wins the pre-fight swimsuit contest and goes charging off her stool, jabs to Egerton's body before cracking couple of big hooks to the head and Tamsin's clearly shocked by that start. Nicola opens up from both wings but misses more hooks to the head and Egerton finds her stride, bangs a huge hook to the chest, another left to the ribcage and a right uppercut to the chin! DOWN GOES McLEAN heavy on her backside!!! Sensational sequence from Egerton and McLean was caught off guard, clearly didn't expect her to respond in such a fashion! But the model is up at six, a mere setback and somewhat a lucky execution by the Beever's girl. Nicola continues with her attack, wants to convince everyone she's not affected by that knockdown and she lays some leather on Egerton but the Beever's girl weathers the storm with some good defence and McLean lacks efficiency despite a lot of effort.

Round 2:
Egerton wants to build upon that knockdown and comes firing off her stool, surprising the buxom model who's usually the intimidator in the ring. Confident hooks and jabs to the body, Nicola's enhanced rack is an inviting target for Tamsin who makes full use of her reach and peppers it with means intentions. McLean responds with some shots to the head, but Egerton's quicker on her feet and waves around, scoring more body shots and forcing the model back against the ropes. Nicola rarely looks overpowered but she covers up and allows her opponent to impress the judges with some composed execution. Egerton leans on her even more in the final minute but misses a cross-hook to the head and Nicola cracks her in the chest, bangs an overhand left on the nose and Tamsin's head snaps back. McLean leaps after her with more jabs to the chest, flicks another left over the top just as Egerton was throwing hers. Nicola's punch lands a fraction quicker and catches her rival on the nose again... DOWN GOES EGERTON flat on her back!!! One-punch knockdown from the PageThrees model, a clear indication of her impressive core power but Egerton scrambles herself back uprigt at seven. Nicola wants to pounce on that opportunity but Tamsin leaps back, circles around the ring and stays out of the blonde's reach until the bell.

Round 3:
Nicola doesn't rush it from the bell, perhaps a wrong tactical choice but in the previous two rounds whoever attacked first got countered later on and subsequently lost the exchange. But Tamsin thinks otherwise, shows her superior footwork and hassles McLean all across the canvas. She stays in mid-distance though as her speed allows to overcome the model's response. Single-striking execution from Tamsin, she jabs to the chest and body; Nicola keeps the high-guard but soon is forced to drop it as Egerton scores too many clean shots to the midsection. She tries to close the distance but can't match Tamsin's footwork and is made look rather sluggish in the mid-range stand-off. Egerton works her experience to the limits and allthough there's not a lot of vicious blows landed, judges must be impressed with the younger girl's tactical approach.

Round 4:
McLean decides to attack once again. The previous round underlined the fact that without putting Tamsin under constant pressure, she's got little chance of succeeding tonight. Egerton somewhat expected another charge but didn't leap back and a vicious punching trade-off ensues in the middle of the ring, girls rip into each other's bodies, Tamsin rocks Nicola's rack but gets laced in the ribcage herself, not a lot of defence on hand. Both women are capable of delivering a single-punch KO, however they hold their ground despite some bruising being developed on the ribcage area. Nicola finally lands one between the mitts after a fine combo and Tamsin wobbles back. She covers up, but drives with a stiff jab and breaks through the blonde's gloves herself. Nicola's head snaps back and she almost loses her balance after getting nailed on the chin. No winner is declared in this exchange and both girls clinch in the final minute, still looking to outsmart each other and find that hole for one big haymaker but after four rounds it's still anyone's for the taking.

Round 5:
Tamsin weaves around the ropes, shifts the tactics again and allthough Nicola is keen to close the distance, she can't match the younger girl's pace and is outnumbered from mid-range. Methodical grinding is not McLean's strongest suit and Tamsin peppers her rack one more time as Nicola's high hooks can't reach the target. Egerton's speed and agility allows her to move all across the ring as McLean's efforts to chase her down are fruitless and the rack pounding has taken it's toll as the buxom model slows even further towards the end and allows Tamsin to clean out her ribcage and push to the ropes. McLean covers up but is left helpless at the bell, she simply can't crack her opponent's determined approach into this bout.

Round 6:
Egerton seems to be taking it a little bit easy now, probably believes she's ahead on points but Nicola finds some energy, finally finds some success with a double combo to the ribcage and flicks a hook between the mitts, snapping Tamsin's head back. Brief lapse of concentration from the Beever's girl as Nicola unloads big shots from both flanks, peppers her in the stomach, bangs another hook on the temple but just skims off it, that could have been that haymaker if it landed properly. Tamsin clinches to catch some respite, but Nicola shoves her away and cracks more jabs to the midsection. Egerton throws an overhand right and gets lucky, nails the blonde glamour model on the cheek, halts her forward charge and there's more jabs to the chest following as Tamsin tries to salvage this round. High-tempo body jabbing force Nicola further back as she's unable to find a hole for her hooks. Egerton just sticks to her plan, pushes the model towards the center of the ring and circles back. Nicola's too tired to launch a response though and the round concludes in a stalemate.

Round 7:
All or nothing approach from McLean, she's looking somewhat desperate for that KO, but Tamsin's beginning to wear out as well and that enables the blonde model to close her down and unleash a solid attack to the midsection. Egerton keeps her guard high, expects Nicola to shift up and find that big punch, but McLean stays put to her plan. She bruises Tamsin's ribcage badly with a huge sequence and the younger girl begins to wince in pain for the first time tonight. Unexpected change of tactics from the PageThrees' blonde left Tamsin puzzled and Nicola wants to prove she's more than just a one-trick pony. Egerton is backed against the ropes and in close distance can't handle her foe's brute force. Nicola takes full control with more vicious jabs to the ribs as Tamsin covers up and hangs on until the bell, but that was a very poor round from her and she might just have left the door open for a late McLean comeback here.

Round 8:
Egerton seems to be affected by that midsection pummelling she'd suffered in the previous round and indeed the bruising on her ribcage and stomach looks pretty bad. Nicola found a new dose of confidence, closes her down and looks to trap against the ropes again. Tamsin ducks and weaves around the ring for most of the opening minute, but she's not as quick as she was earlier anymore and Nicola finally nails her with some heavy hooks to the body, rocks her out of the comfort zone for good and backs against the ropes in the second part of the round. McLean suddenly looking very dominant and she punishes Tamsin's midsection again, almost wants to break her ribs with vicious execution. Egerton moans in pain, but refuses to go down, the girl's got some punch-resistance there! She's all covered up and avoids getting nailed in the face, but McLean nearly bends her in half with all those efforts and that was as good as a knockdown round for the buxom blonde. She's on track for a huge come-from-behind win if Egerton keeps getting pounded in the remaining two rounds.

Round 9:
Tamsin's really hurt now and seemingly at Nicola's mercy. The buxom model is quick to get up from her stool, but Egerton weaves around the ropes through the first minute, her arms dropped, this is full survival mode. Nicola tries to book her place in the title fight by an impressive KO, but the physical fitness lets her down and she wastes the last resorts of energy in a fruitless chase of the younger girl. She can't close Tamsin down, breaths very heavily, her face almost matches the color of her outfit and it's like a plug has been pulled out of her. Her mind wants to finish Egerton off, but the body says otherwise. Egerton hangs on without much trouble and in fact despite all her bruises, looks to have saved a little bit more for the final round. Red-mist mode backfired on Nicola as she perhaps should have settled for a decision rather then go for a KO which was never close to happening in this round.

Round 10:
Nicola's dead on her legs, the physical aspect of this fight got the better of her and Egerton suddenly rushes forward. Does she sense McLean might be ahead on points particulary after that Round 8 performance? Tamsin walks her down with ease, Nicola almost forced into being rooted to the spot. The footwork is all gone for the buxom model and Egerton lands more shots from mid-range, goes for the rack and ribcage, trying to convince the judges she's the better fighter of the two. Nicola throws some single shots in response but finds no success as Tamsin leaps around her and pins her to the ropes with more well-placed jabs. Into the final minute and McLean just covers up, unable to do anything now while Tamsin keeps pounding her and finally splits her mitts; cracks a jab on the mouth and another between the arms.. and another one... McLean moans in pain, bends forward and gets nailed with a left hook on the nose.. DOWN GOES McLEAN face-first on the canvas!!! Egerton drops her arms, she's got nothing left either... Nicola's aching and moaning, but climbs on all fours at six and just beats the count with the help of the ropes. Tamsin's bemused, she really though she got her cooked, yet the PageThrees blonde got up to force the decision. They stare at each other in the final seconds, battle of the minds after all the punches have been thrown... and this will go to the scorecards!!!

After ten rounds of boxing we go to the scorecards... All three judges score the bout 95-94 for your winner through unanimous decision... TAMSIN EGERTON!!!

Post-fight:
Tamsin shakes her fist but looks more relieved than delighted while Nicola's head slumps down between her shoulders upon the first defeat of her BBU career. Both girls hug each other moments later and only as Tamsin turns around towards her corner she finally sports a smile and waves to the crowd. Detailed look into the scorecards indicates Nicola was one point ahead before the final round and that last minute knockdown cost her the shot at the BBU welterweight title. Both girls won four rounds each and shared the other two. It was truly a great bout between evenly matched rivals and well worthy of the title undercard. However Tamsin will need to raise her game if she wants to depose the impressive Erika Heynatz off the welterweight throne.
