"BEEVER"S BABES AT THE TRUMP PLAZA"
(FRONT STREET VS BEEVER'S BABES USA)
Posted by Knowlesey on August 26, 2012 (Results by Simguy)
This is expected to be a good contest between contrasting boxers. Kelly Rowland's the better, classier boxer, with Katy Perry a free-swinging brawler who has enough style to be tricky. Perry’s jaw has appeared a little suspect in recent times, and she will need to be careful or suffer a painful defeat.
The girls are in the ring, with Kelly in a black bikini, and Katy in a yellow bikini, both girls looking good.
Round 1
Katy Perry comes out of her corner really quickly, and she’s caught Kelly by surprise, slamming punches into her face and body like a dervish, and those punches are hard, too, hard enough when they clips Kelly’s face to put the girl on a backward stumble, anyway. But the older girl’s trying to fight fire with fire, looks to match Katy’s head punching, but takes a heavy left hook, and Rowland’s down in the middle of the ring. Kelly’s up again at 6, but she’s still taking punishment, and the bell ends a serious bell to bell beat down, which goes 10-8 Katy.
Round 2
If Katy thought she had Kelly on the run, she’s being made to think again, as the older girl puts on a good display of skills from the outset of the round, not letting Katy settle into her rhythm, and she starts to get home with some good jabs, blocks the counter punch, then lands again. Katy’s looking slow and confused in comparison, and she gets moved around the ring as Kelly rallies, still looks for the big counter punch, but she’s not the same girl when she has to defends herself, and that round goes 10-9 Kelly.
Round 3
Kelly starts the round like a dancing queen again, and she’s clipping Katy with some neat and accurate punches, but now Katy’s speeding up her work, landing some heavy blows to the older girl’s body for starters, and drawing her into some good two way action this time around. Katy hurts Kelly with a right, left combo after switching southpaw, and Kelly comes back at her, landing more punches than the younger girl, but with less power, and Perry’s forcing Kelly to slug for respect. Rowland’s landing harder as the round ticks on, and they slug it out toe-to toe, but this is playing to Katy's strength, and she’s fighting hard, giving Kelly a bruising battering in the closing seconds of a round that goes 10-9 Perry.
Round 4
Off we go again, and again it’s Kelly making the brighter start, and that jab’s bursting past the younger girl’s gloves and into her face, and she’s starting to rock the girl with her following hooks as well, peppering her with a good little combo, which lights Perry up early, and she has her stumbling, slumping into Kelly and gripping her. This doesn’t suit Kellt too well, and she pushed her away, gives her body a touching-up inside, then it’s a skilful Rowland who avoids Perry’s haymakers, and she just picks Katy apart outside, her punches so crisp and accurate, she’s again making Katy look foolish as she takes the round 10 – 9..
Round 5
Kelly again comes out dancing, but the power girl Perry’s pounding away at her body this time, and she starts pushing and pummeling the older girl around the ring, enjoying the pained expression on the girl’s face. Kelly has to go on the defensive, but there’s no use trying to cover and block – she uses her legs, and she minimizes the damage from tough Ms Perry who could just do with more legspeed to go with her punches, which begin to slow Rowland a little at the end of the round, and this time Katy cruises to 10-9 win.
Round 6
Another change of routine for the fans, with Katy looking short on ideas, and short on energy, too. And it’s all Kelly, outclassing Katy, skipping around the younger girl, slipping inside her guard and rapping jabs on her face, cheeky shots that have Katy stepping aside, just letting the older girl showboat and prance around her, biding her time maybe. Kelly makes a mistake late in the round, gets in a half step to close to the younger girl, and Perry punishes her, stunning her with some booming powershots, Kelly’s head getting knocked backwards and sideways, then Perry gives her a couple to the body, and she’s forcing Rowland to hang on at bell. Perry steals the round 10 – 9.
Round 7
Again Katy’s looking tired and clumsy as the round begins, with Kelly able to fight well from a distance, able to land her jabs easily, and she’s beginning to open Perry up now, the girl’s defence poor as Rowland puts up her best boxing to date, and she gets through with a good right hook, and another, and she’s got Katy put wobbly butt, but the girl shows her stubbornness in not going down here, able to clinch and hold. Kelly’s energy won’t quite let her push Katy off this time, and she has to let the referee do it before resuming with another good combination, setting Perry back on her heels, once again swinging the fight with the round going 10-9 Kelly.
Round 8
Now Kelly’s looking tired again, having spent a lot of energy in 7, and she’s getting hit early on for the first time in a while, getting set to the ropes, tries to block and hold, but that’s not working against Perry’s concussive punches, and Perry’s lured Kelly into toe to toe exchanges, just her type of fight. There’s aterrific trade just outside Katy’s corner, which ends with Kelly getting turned and thumped hard around the body by the younger girl, and she may go down – no, she holds and gets away with it, managing to stay in touch to the bell to end a round won again by Katy 10-9.
Round 9
The girls trade punches again, and this is totally out of character for Kelly, but she’s doing better as Katy struggles to find a way to her jaw this time. Kelly lands two good left jabs to send Katy back to the ropes, but Katy fights her way off, landing a hard left hook, and a right to follow, but Kelly won’t allow herself to get backed up to the ropes, and she’s still mobile, and late on, she’s giving Katy trouble, as she scores with three and four shot combos to have Katy staggering, and katy’s looking distressed at the bell. 10-9 Kelly.
Round 10
Final round, and Katy Perry comes storming out, slamming big shots into Kelly when she can, making the older girl cover up at first, and Kelly’s not offering much as she elects to move and avoid big harm. Kelly needs to fight – she hasn’t won this yet! Katy’s gritting her teeth, and she looks like she wants to knock Kelly out, with Kelly somehow keeping away, and staying out of range, throwing a couple of jabs her and there, but not really competing, still looking like she’s going through the motions. Katy lands a good right to Kelly’s ribs, then sends her sideways with a left to the jaw – Kelly stands and throws a couple back this time, but at the bell, she’s dancing away with Katy closing in on her once more and that’s10-9 Perry.
It goes to the judges, and comes back tight but unanimous Katy Perry!
Well, all three judges had that at 5 rounds a piece but the knockdown gives it to Katy in a mild upset. It would be fair to say that Kelly's tactical decision to run the clock in the 10th cost her a draw
Katy's tired, but she's able to prteen herself, stand on the moiddle ropes, and shout, "Tat's what I got Ruah! Power!" |
