Round 1

There's the bell and this contest is underway, with Metcalfe really burying a punch into Harold's ribs, and the blonde’s on unsteady legs after taking a few more punches, but she catches Metcalfe coming in with a sweet uppercut! That shot landed square and Metcalfe felt it, she's in a world of hurt! Danielle Harold has Metcalfe in a headlock as she rains down punches, so referee Behr breaks the fighters and issues a stern warning to her and now both fighters are circling, keeping their distance from each other. Metcalfe steals a quick glance at her corner, then retreats into the far corner, and Harold charges in but Metcalfe avoids the rush, and she looks to land a cross but misses the mark. In comes Harold, who bangs the uppercut home, then scores with a hook to the body but she misses when she tries to double up with it. Both boxers are in the middle of the squared circle, and Metcalfe smothers Harold's attack as Harold tries to get off some shots inside, and now Harold slides into a neutral corner as Metcalfe fires a wild overhand right and misses everything. Metcalfe is moving around the ring nicely, and the two women are circling one another, looking for an opening. Once again, Harold slides into the corner, and Metcalfe misses wildly with the hook in the closing seconds, and there's the bell. Round 1 comes to an end.

Elisandra Tomacheski exits the ring to wild cheering. We await the bell, signaling the start of Round 2. There it is!

Round 2

Harold's corner men did their job with quiet efficiency and confidence, but straight away she voluntarily moves onto the ropes, and Metcalfe ties her up Harold. Behr steps in and breaks it up, then Metcalfe traps Harold in the corner, and she’s dancing and flicking harmless punches at Harold. Referee Behr tries to separate the boxers but Danielle Harold has a vice-like grip on Metcalfe, and Behr has to move in to break the clinch. Now Metcalfe hitches up her briefs. She'd better be careful. She may get nailed while her hands are down, but she lands the jab and that's a punch she needs to make good use of throughout the fight. Again Metcalfe has Harold trapped – she fires and misses, and Danielle Harold scores with a cross, though it did not land flush and now she has Metcalfe pinned, and lands a short hook to the body. As high as Metcalfe is holding her gloves she is leaving her body wide open to a damaging body punch if Harold takes advantage of it, but instead she drops her right hand flush on Metcalfe's chin! Metcalfe looks hurt... He's stumbling backward! Metcalfe tries to fight back, but misses with that punch, and young Harold is receiving a lot of encouragement from her corner. If this helps win fights, she has a real good shot tonight. Metcalfe doesn't connect with the cross, and there's a pause in the action as both fighters regroup. Metcalfe fires a shot, but it glances off Harold's shoulder, and the bell stops the action as Metcalfe and Harold go back to their corners.

Round 3

Harold looks to be in fair shape as Round 3 gets underway. Denise Lewis implored Metcalfe to stay busy, to do more but Metcalfe's mind seems elsewhere, and Danielle Harold has Metcalfe blocked in! Harold continues to follow Metcalfe about the ring, with Denise Lewis really animated in Metcalfe's corner and Metcalfe’s nodding in agreement. Metcalfe moves better, and lands a smashing uppercut! Danielle Harold was stunned by that blow, and she misses the lead right, but follows up with a left hook that finds the mark. Harold tries a straight right that's blocked by the gloves of Metcalfe, and the action slows for the moment. Metcalfe does a great job of moving as Harold tries to work inside, and she lands a hard uppercut! Harold is hurt and she had better reach deep if she's going to continue! That was a violent straight right by Metcalfe, and Harold is gasping for air!! A dazed Danielle Harold walks in to a glancing hook from Metcalfe, but then she tries to double up on the jab but neither hit the mark. Both fighters are being cautious and keeping out of range for spell, then Metcalfe pins Harold in the corner! She is boxing beautifully, smoothly moving side to side and in and out, until Harold lands a crushing hook, and now Metcalfe looks shaken! Harold misses with the left and then fails to connect with the right as well, then Metcalfe doubles up to the body, though Harold seems unfazed. There's some angry swelling now around the right eye of Harold. Clearly, this is going to hamper her vision, and she does a great job with subtle movement to avoid Metcalfe's punches in close. Referee Behr has to get between Metcalfe and Danielle Harold as they glare at one another. She sends them to their corners as the bell sounds to end the round.

Round 4

Harold is getting her full rest as she remains on her stool as the Round 4 bell sounds. Now she's up and her corner scrambles to exit the ring. The swelling on the face of Harold is noticeable, even at a distance. Although her corner girls were applying cold compresses and trying to work the swelling away from her eyes, Harold still has distension. The fighters are tangled up inside. Metcalfe has a hand free and lands a little uppercut. Harold's right eye is becoming more swollen - her corner is going to need to be control it or it will become a factor. Danielle Harold received a pep talk from Amanda Redman before she left her corner; we'll see if it worked. Harold rips a hook to the body, then lands a strong uppercut! Metcalfe looks shaken! Now both fighters are being extremely cautious again. We hadn't expected such a tactical battle. Metcalfe moves into the upper left corner, but Harold catches her with an uppercut as she tries to duck. Danielle Harold seems really focused on what she's doing this round, then Metcalfe throws a leaping shot that fails to hit the target. Both women look to measure one another, before Harold is protecting the body nicely as Metcalfe fails to score inside. She bobs and weaves her way inside and lets her hands go, scoring with a hook, but gets pushed, and feels her back touch the ropes and immediately moves away. She doesn't want to get trapped there. Both fighters are flailing away but Metcalfe is definitely landing the better punches now and Harold misses as Metcalfe backpedals away. Metcalfe forces her way inside and she lands a nice uppercut to the chin of Harold. Danielle Harold just can't find the range with that uppercut, and now Metcalfe drives home a wicked hook to the midsection! Harold is suddenly in trouble! Her right eye is becoming an ugly mass of swollen flesh and has got to be an inviting target for Metcalfe, who comes in low. Harold puts a headlock on her. Behr knocks Harold's arm off Metcalfe's head, and the girls each take a step back. Harold takes a further half step back as she tries to create some punching room. Jennifer Metcalfe backs into a neutral corner, and Behr has to pull the fighters away from each other as Danielle Harold locks up Metcalfe's arms, and Metcalfe pushes Harold away. Loud applause accompanies the end of this round.

Round 5

Metcalfe and Harold square off as the bell sounds to start the action for Round 5. Amanda Redman not only gave Harold encouragement between rounds but also some solid advice on how to handle Metcalfe. Now it's up to Danielle Harold to implement it, but a minute wasn't enough to eliminate or even significantly reduce Harold's swelling. They'll have to keep a close watch on it and make sure Harold's vision doesn't become a major problem over the next few rounds. Metcalfe darts in and out, making herself a tough target. The fighters are throwing punches but Harold is being much more effective in this battle. There has to be something done about the swelling around Harold's right eye as it continues to worsen. Harold tries to go to the body but she can't find an opening, but Metcalfe retreats into her own corner, and Harold tries to drop the right hand over the top but Jennifer Metcalfe ducks under it. Danielle Harold ducks into an uppercut from Metcalfe. Metcalfe is either lucky or has radar as Danielle Harold's re punch missed landing by a fraction of an inch! Jennifer Metcalfe doubles up on the jab and she manages to score with the second one, then Harold misses badly. It looks like she changed her mind half way through the punch. Now Metcalfe just landed a three punch combo, and Harold is out on her feet after that violent combination! It seems every shot Harold takes on her right makes the swelling worse, and again Metcalfe moves in and scores with a quick jab. Both fighters move to ring center, where Harold cuts loose with a combination and the crowd roars, but the truth is none of those punches landed. Metcalfe had his elbows tucked in nicely, and then she lands a devastating uppercut! Harold is trying to regroup after that punch, and she Harold muscles her way inside, but Metcalfe's jab connects to her head and now her right eye is becoming a cause of major concern as it continues swell. A defiant Harold is just missing by a hair with her punches, as Metcalfe leans her and fires a weak hook to the ribs. Harold misses with an uppercut from way outside. That's a dangerous punch to throw. You leave yourself wide open for a counter, and she again misses wildly with the Hook. That’s the bell, and we have completed the halfway point of the fight as Round 5 ends.

Round 6

The seconds hurry out of Metcalfe's corner as the bell sounds for Round 6. Harold's corner gave her eye during the minute off and they've done an excellent job of preventing it from worsening. Harold misses with that hook, but Jennifer Metcalfe is fading, probing with her jab as she tries to find an opening in Harold's defense. Harold's corner is urging her on. They're really vocal tonight. Metcalfe has Harold trapped in the near right neutral corner, and she lands a hook to the ribs. Metcalfe is staying at the center of the ring, and wants to go downstairs, but can't penetrate Harold's defense. Now Harold lands a vicious hook! Metcalfe was rattled by that shot and she is hurt and her tank is just about on empty. Harold misses with the left and then fails to connect with the right as well. Metcalfe throws the jab and it lands cleanly, and now Harold's right eye is turning ugly as the swelling under it worsens. Harold fires a volley of punches but Jennifer Metcalfe was already moving laterally and was out of harm's way, then she scores with a quick hook to the head of Harold after Harold missed with a wild shot of her own. Danielle Harold wraps her arms around Metcalfe, then they break clean. There’s not much steam behind Metcalfe's jab, but it scores nonetheless, and both fighters let their hands go with Harold coming out on top in that melee. The increased swelling around the right eye of Harold is fast becoming a hindrance, but there's a straight right by Danielle Harold! How is Metcalfe standing after that? Harold retreats into a neutral corner, where a flurry of punches is exchanged between the two fighters. It appears as if Harold has gotten the better of the exchange. Metcalfe is still flicking the jab, trying to keep Harold at long range. It looks like Metcalfe has a pretty solid lead at this stage of the fight. That’s a nice action round, as both fighters had their moments and receive a well-deserved round of applause as they head for their corners.

Round 7

There are shouts of encouragement for both fighters can be heard as the bell rings for Round 7. Metcalfe got some great advice from Denise Lewis between rounds, let's see if she puts it to use here in round 7. If the swelling was lessened by Danielle Harold's corner, it wasn't reduced enough to make a big difference. It's going to be a factor in this fight if it continues to worsen. Harold likes to use the hook but she'd better get a little closer when she throws it or Jennifer Metcalfe's going to beat her to the punch and hurt her! Harold is breathing heavily already, and she’s trapped in the corner. A nice exchange of blows there, though neither fighter seemed to gain the upper hand. Harold is going to have to protect his continually swelling right eye or it is going to become an issue in this fight! She goes to the head and the body, though neither punch had much on it, then tries to get the hook into the ribs, but Metcalfe blocks it, and flicks a jab to Harold's stomach. Jennifer Metcalfe moves into a neutral corner, where Harold tries to work her way inside but she can't do it. Metcalfe picks off the cross by Harold, then Metcalfe ducks under a jab and brings an uppercut right down main street. Harold feints downstairs, then lands an uppercut under Metcalfe's chin, stands back, then connects with a second violent uppercut! That was a crushing blow! Metcalfe is trying to hang on, but lets her hands go inside and gets in a hook to Harold's midsection. Harold just misses with a huge shot as Metcalfe chooses the perfect time to suddenly backpedal, and then Metcalfe lands a stinging jab. Both of these fighters are really laboring now, as Danielle slides along the far ropes, and again misses. She had an opening and whiffed with the punch. Metcalfe scores with a beautiful cross that just missed landing flush on Harold's jaw. The swelling around Harold's right eye is getting messy and his vision has to be obscured. What a great round of boxing as both fighters traded heavy leather. And the crowd is letting the combatants know that they like what they're seeing!

Round 8

Round 8 begins as the bell sounds. Harold’s corner has done a great job on her eye. They've got it under control, at least for now. Not a lot on that hook to Jennifer Metcalfe's side, but it scored. Amanda Redman was extremely upbeat during the break with Harold providing some solid encouragement. Metcalfe scores with a nice short hook inside the defense of Danielle Harold, but the blonde flicks three quick jabs and at least one got through, and now Harold has Metcalfe cornered! Metcalfe is trying to free her gloves from under Harold's gloves, and the fighters separate after a clinch. That was a spirited exchange that saw both women score well, though Harold had the edge. Her right eye continues to swell alarmingly and it's got to be affecting her vision. Metcalfe has been watching too much wrestling, the way she's grabbing Harold, who works her way free! Metcalfe whiffs with the combination. Both fighters are working the angles, looking to get the upper hand in this contest, and have worked their way back to the center of the ring. Metcalfe is in constant motion. She is a hard fighter to corner, and Metcalfe fires a left hand that Harold takes high on the shoulder. The two fighters have chosen to work on the inside and it's Harold who scores with a short hook to the chest. Metcalfe lets her hands go but her punches land on the arms of Harold, who gives a nice head feint and then lands a hook to the head of Metcalfe. Metcalfe pins Harold's arms against her body stopping her from throwing any punches, and referee Behr separates the two fighters. Metcalfe landed the big hook flush! That blow connected solidly to the head of Harold and she is stunned! But even so, Harold traps Jennifer Metcalfe in the corner! Metcalfe uses her legs to avoid Harold's punches, and that's all she wrote here in Round 8.

Round 9

Here come the fighters to ring center. Harold's corner is an experienced crew but the swelling she's suffered looks almost as bad as it did before the minute break. Metcalfe backs into the lower corner. Harold is holding on to Jennifer Metcalfe. She seems to be taking a breather, and Dani Behr has to separate the two. Behr warns Metcalfe for holding and hitting, although she is doing a lot more holding than hitting. Danielle Harold tries to get free... Here comes Behr to break them up. Metcalfe is trapped in Harold's corner, and Harold scores with a hook to the side of the head. Metcalfe is off target with that hook, but that hook from Harold snapped Metcalfe's head back violently! Metcalfe's knee almost touched the canvas. Both fighters keep straying from ring center. Now they're back in the middle of the square, and Metcalfe lands a rapier like jab to the head of who is turning this fight into a clinching and holding affair as she continues to wrap her arms around Metcalfe. Harold finally lets go of Metcalfe, and Metcalfe misses with what looked like a backhand. She's lucky. If that had landed, she might have drawn a warning. Harold gets in close and comes straight up to the chin of Metcalfe with an uppercut. Metcalfe's corner is shouting to their girl, encouraging her to pick up the action. Harold fires away but finds nothing but air. Metcalfe's constant movement can be frustrating to an opponent who's not capable of cutting off the ring on her, but Danielle Harold backs into her own corner, and holds her arms up in disgust as Metcalfe holds her around her waist. Behr moves them apart, and there's the bell, finishing Round 9.

Round 10

We go to the last round, as the bell sounds to start the 10th. Metcalfe got quite a pep talk in her corner; we'll see if Denise Lewis's instructions work. The swelling on the face of Danielle Harold is almost as pronounced as it was before her corner worked on it, in spite of their efforts. Both fighters want to work inside for the moment, as Harold blasts home a hook, then she lands a crushing uppercut! Harold sent Metcalfe reeling with that punch! Metcalfe and Harold are in a clinch, Behr hollers at them to break and start fighting, but referee Behr has to separate the two. Metcalfe scores with a tremendous right just above the waistline! Harold was hurt by those blows! Now Metcalfe fires and misses, but Harold lands a nice jab. She tries to follow it up with a cross but it misses, then pins Jennifer Metcalfe in the corner! Harold goes to the head and the body, though neither punch had much on it. Metcalfe just delivered a wake-up call!!! She really caught Harold with a sharp combination! Harold is on rubber legs as result of those blistering punches, and the swelling under Harold's right eye can't get much worse, as it has now ballooned substantially. Harold fires a lead right that Metcalfe manages to avoid. Metcalfe can't find the range as she tries to work the body, and Harold drives that short hook into Metcalfe's midsection!
Metcalfe is favoring her ribs, she's hurt!! Metcalfe lets her hands go but her punches land on the arms of Harold. Metcalfe is keeping away from the ropes, and scores with a tremendous left! Harold seems to have been hurt by that punch, and now she’s pinned in her own corner, but this bout's over, fight fans! The scorecards will tell the tale in this one.
