The experienced Alesha fights 23 year old debutante Yumi tonight, and the girls are keen to get on with this fight, Alesha still smarting from the way Sayaka Ando battered her after the bell in her previous fight in Japan, and Yumi is looking to prove that she is the girl capable of finishing the British singer off.

Yumi is first to enter the ring, looking great in her blue bikini, and she is soon joined by Alesha in a black bikini.

Round 1

Alesha starts well, and she’s moving gracefully around the ring, keeping away from the younger girl’s rather clumsy attacks, and landing her own punches quickly to the model’s face. But Yumi’s not going to accept this, and she gets in tight to Alesha and dabs her in the mouth with her left jab, then follows up to the body, before landing a good right to the Brit’s ear, sending her teetering to the ropes. Sensing she’s getting on top, Yumi wades into Alesha to a certain extent, thudding three good ones into her ribs, and she seems to hurt her just before the bell with another right hand, this time to the mouth.

Round 2

This time Alesha’s the slower girl to rise, and Yumi slips inside her leading jab again when she attacks her, slamming the singer’s head backwards with a good left, following it with a right, and Alesha’s clinching already. Yumi’s getting g herself in a bit of a tangle in close, and this is letting Alesha off the hook a little, as she lets the referee decide when they should break. But on the break, Yumi shows some cunning, and she lands a good right hook to Alesha’s cheek, then lands two good lefts in her body, and a second right to the face. Yumi’s looking good now, and she batters Alesha across the ring and into the ropes, leaving her with a growing bruise under her left eye at the bell.

Round 3

Yumi’s beginning to give Alesha a hiding now, and she is already moving the older girl towards the ropes before the singer realises it, then tries for a left uppercut, which Alesha reads, and counterpunches. Yumi takes a left, right, left barrage to her face, then gets a hard left to the ribs, and her knees are buckling, gets tagged again with a right to the jaw, and she’s having to hold this time. No longer speedy after that little spanking, Yumi gets caught again with a left to the mouth, and she looks pleased to hear the bell with Alesha closing in on her, clearly intent on inflicting damage.

Round 4

Now Alesha gives Yumi a thorough body examination, connecting with the model’s ribs and flanks and she’s hurting her, bringing her gloves down. Yumi’s defence is naïve, and she starts to retaliate instead, hitting Alesha nicely with her left hand, and again, she then comes in closer, but eats a straight left from Dixon, and that sits her down on the canvas. Yumi’s tasting blood on her gumshield now, but she’s up at 6, and she gives Alesha a hard right hand punch to the belly immediately, bends her over, and goes for that uppercut again, but Dixon is quicker than she looks, avoids the lunging punch, and lands a left right combo to Yumi’s face which almost puts her back down, the model dazed and on the ropes at the bell this time.

Round 5

Having shown Yumi her left, Alesha now gives the girl a couple of firm rights, and she has the model on the ropes again, but can’t quite put her down. Yumi’s managing to ties in Alesha’s arms when the Brit gets in close, and she’s frustrating her by wrestling and pushing her instead of fighting. Yumi’s still strong, and Alesha will need to land more punches if she wants to get the kid ready for finishing – back comes Yumi, and those are good punches from the model, and she’s hurt Alesha again with a cracking left hook, but only to get sorted out herself with three good punches to the body, and she gets moved sideways and backwards, then raked to the body again,a nd she looks shabby at the bell.

Round 6

Alesha’s looking in control now, and she gives Yumi a good smack in the mouth early, which makes the model stagger a little, the she gives the younger girl a couple of good digs to the body, weakens her up a bit, then cracks her with a left hook, and down goes Yumi, struggling a bit now. The Japanese girl’s up at 7, but she’s not happy, and Alesha’s after her, crunching her face with left hand after left hand, and she’s shut the kid’s eye for her now, cruelly exposed her weakness, and she’s moving her around the ring very easily, but still can’t put her away. Yumi’s brave, but maybe foolish, because she’s taking a beating now, and she gets through the round even though she’s only got one eye working, and struggles to see where her corner is.

Round 7

Yumi’s looking pretty battered now, and Alesha wastes no time in getting stuck into the model again. Almost unmarked apart from that bruised cheek, she gives the younger girl a few hard shots in the ribs, brings down that guard again, then rips a right hook into her face, putting g her back on the floor. Dixon wheels away in triumph, but gasps when she sees the model get to her feet at 7 again, and shakes her head as she hits the kid again, drills her into the ropes, looking to finish her off, but the referee’s in there, and saves Yumi from further punishment.

Alesha Dixon stopped Yumi Sugimoto in round 7.

Alesha was in form in the ring tonight, and gave a promising young girl a lesson – maybe this tour will rejuvenate her career?
