BEFORE: January a prohibitive underdog - with some books even refusing to offer odds, but Pink musters Barnum and Bailey bluster in prefight. "She's one of the most under-rated fighters in the world today," Pink says with a straight face at podium. "We've got her as no lower in threat-level than Penelope Cruz, with high-side potential that rivals Kate Beckinsale. This is no gimme fight: January's got skill people don't even know about yet, and I'm plunging into uncharted waters here. I'm just going to do my best and hope my prep has been sufficient!"

Jones familiar with the betting line and general sentiment, but January putting on a stoic face for press. "She's a singer. That means I've got a chance," Jones quips, neatly slapping the face of an entire industry.

Pink clinches in confusion; takes a shoulder in the mouth - a left/right to gut, and Jones is swinging away like a madwoman again. Pink sliding along ropes, trying to bob or tie up...Jones a seething whirlwind of random punches, accidental headbutts, irresponsible elbows - scouring Pink corner to corner. Down the stretch, Pink starts to find the range on tight inside left hooks - keeping herself covered up and clipping January as Jones' fury abates. Bell: Jones' eyes BLAZING, chest heaving as she turns riverboat gambler for the early stoppage.

R2: Pink thinks the storm is over: it ain't over! Jones pouring in, tackling Pink back into her own turnbuckles - pushing against her while plowing rights and lefts to trunks and belly, bunching Pink up. Pushing off, Jones creates space underneath even as she leans in with her head - swinging healthy strokes to Pink's breadbasket and thighs, beating a woozy frown of complaint onto Pink's face. Pink tying up, trying to wrestle Jones into ropes, but January just a bundle of berserker energy - wriggling out of Pink's clutches to continue the all-in assault. Once again, as Jones' fury fades/temp slows, Pink able to hook tidy off the ropes, bob on the spot and get a few touches. Still January's round as she confounds all expectations by jumping to the early lead.

R3: Pink lazy off her stool: rolling start behind the ref's back give Jones the leg up again and pancakes the bigger woman into ropes, pumping left/rights to gut while crowding. Pink groaning, trying to push off...January scything up and across via repeated right uppercuts, clipping face with plenty of elbow on follow-through...PINK'S CUT! Pink reeling from a lightning-bolt gash on her forehead...she's sprawling on ropes, staring, TAKING JANUARY'S BEST LEATHER! Jones sees the distress, pours on the hurt...she's in wide stance, bending side to side with the effort of sweeping her lustiest haymakers onto Pink. Tempo fades late...Pink able to get herself together...Jones clipped tidy hooks and right uppercuts off the ropes as Pink fights peek-a-boo style from tight earmuff guard.

R4: Jones attempting yet another insane rush, but the velocity's not there, the punching vigor's not there...Pink able to roam to her right, easily blocking the flailing arm-punches now as Jones is completely out of gas. Pink circling back in, hooking January's gut...Jones bunches up hurrrt, showing earmuff as Pink claims initiative for first time. Pink methodical to either flank - pounding in short, shocking blows behind the elbows, then bulling into January to push her ropeside. Stacking January up, Pink pumps the belly right/left, then comes upstairs via ringing right uppercut...Jones in oxygen-debt, mouthbreathing...she's helpless to stop the sustained, heavy-handed bombardment. Pink just pushing January into compliance, then beating her body/head...ref steps in midway through as Jones is swaying on the spot, defenceless and shabby. TKO4 Pink.

After: Pink looking a little buzzed - showing good composure and sturdiness in withstanding a calculated blitzkrieg assault from an outgunned January Jones. "There's two ways out of a fight," Pink says in postfight. "You run and try to survive; you pull every cheap trick you can think of; you hold...OR you go out on your shield. January brought what she had - she went for it. Gotta hand it to her - she made this a better fight than it would have been if I'd had to hunt her down every round!"
