BEFORE: Sarah looking to go Hayden/Leighton...that's a pretty tough row to hoe at flyweight. "There's no easy fights at 110," Shahi shrugs, looking perky/up for battle in prefight. "Every girl is young-and-hungry; every girl is ferocious...you're not going to get very far trying to pick and choose your way through. I'd rather just fight the best and prettiest, and let the chips fall where they may!"

Meester frosty throughout Sarah's pitch...it's almost as though Leighton doesn't care about Shahi in the slightest. "Sarah showed me something against Hayden," Leighton says, pausing for the punchline, "showed me a lot of quit, showed me she's not ready for prime time. I'm sorry, but plucky doesn't cut it: I'm Leighton Meester - I eat 'plucky' for breakfast. Sarah's heading into a buzzsaw, and I don't see her doing any better against me than she did against Hayd."

Leighton in silk-screen shades-of-red sunset bandeau with bikini string support; white gloves; brown hair wet. Sarah in white cashmere crochet bikini; white gloves; hair loose, tangly.

During R1: LEIGHTON UNLEASHED! Meester bashing a series of wide right hands to Shahi's left flank at the open - Leighton punching with teeth bared, her back (right) foot skipping up off canvas as she gives her all. Poor Shahi! Sarah gasping in shock, unable to answer back...she stumbles away to her right - Leighton storming after her, looking to end the fight. Sarah hits ropes, extending arms to hold Meester off: Leighton seething, pouring in overhand rights/swinging left hooks - BOUNCING HER FISTS OFF SARAH'S HEAD! Shahi stunned, sitting in ropes, facing into wallop and SARAH GOES DOWN! Shahi battered to all fours...enraged Leighton stooping, pounding a cheap, swinging right hand across Sarah's lower back with palm-down delivery, bringing ref in hot. Meester pushing against the official, forcing him to bundle her away - Sarah given precious seconds, beating a long count at ropes. Sarah wincing, showing "don't hurt me" eyes...she covers up butt-on-ropes as Leighton wades back in. Meester puh-POUNDING the body - leaning forward and swinging away to bat at Sarah's tummy, trunks, thighs. Leighton reaching in, wrestling apart Shahi's guard...MEESTER'S POURING THE GLOVES TO RACK! Sarah whining, freezing up in jug-shock...Leighton just slamming away to glory, putting her most savage work into reducing Shahi's world-class rack. Bell: Sarah blubbering, ransacked...ref pulls seething Leighton off cringing prey in a HUGE Meester first!

R2: Leighton surging across the ring, looking to slug for the win...Sarah sidesteps to her right, jabbing jug; looping overhand rights to jaw; turning into short left hooks sweet to chin. Meester slugging from wide stance, her hands low, lashing punches to ribcage, but Sarah's turning Leighton counter-clockwise, getting the better connects. LEIGHTON'S LEGS GIVE A SHIMMY! Meester suddenly distraught, wobbly-butt...she covers up face-in-gloves, giving away her flanks/tummy as Shahi goes all in! Sarah stepping close, really ramming it to Leighton: big, thumping lefts and rights crammed to tummy - Shahi slugging with teeth bared, punching Meester to ropes! Leighton sobbing into her palms, slumping forward...Shahi releasing the hounds - bending her little body into blockbuster lefts and rights...fists caroming off Meester's head and shoulders, or slamming to shivering halts in behind either elbow. MEESTER GOES DOWN! Leighton in cringing, gradual descent, finally pitching-in face-first and rolling to her back...she's desperately hurt, head lolling side to side and SHE'S DONE! Meester pouting, eyes closed, giving it up on her back to Sarah KO2.

After: Shahi's chest heaving, nostrils flaring...exotic phenom within a punch or two of going out herself turns the slugfest around and emerges with her career-best win. "I wasn't ready for her savagery at the start," Sarah admits, still looking a little spooked by the experience. "She came at me like a wild animal...it didn't feel like a boxing ring - it was like a jungle tonight. But that was Leighton's biggest mistake...she might have been able to box me, but she's never going to overwhelm me. Once the storm had passed, I knew what I had to do, and I took it to her. I'm not totally satisfied though...I owed her a serious jug-mugging but she went out before I could get in there
