FOXFIRE UNITED VS FRONT STREET JAPAN #2

(Results: Knowlesey; Writing: Archer)

Sylvie reportedly worried by Mikie’s reach advantage (she’s 5’4 to Sylvie’s 5’2), her comparative youth (25 to Sylvie’s 34), and reputation for hard punching with either hand. However she insists that she is coming off a 4 fight win streak in the BBU and plans to add Mikie to her score. Ms. Hara seems more interested in trying to intimidate the Dutch model by showing off her notorious black leather belt she’s been known to use on other Japanese model fighters. Final press conference sees Mikie sticking the belt in Sylvie’s face as she sits on the dais and says: “You will feel this next!” Sylvie gets angry and pushes Mikie away causing the Japanese model to lose her balance and fall. Mikie up quickly and catfight is only averted by prompt intervention of security guards.

Fight Night: Mikie Hara marches to ring in black leather bikini with the infamous black belt around her waist. She hangs belt on corner post and then smirks at Sylvie van der Vaart. Sylvie is in a very sexy gold bikini. Both girls have hair pulled back into single braid. Mikie using black gloves, while Sylvie has donned gold gloves. Tense pre-fight as Mikie tries to body up on Sylvie who stands her ground as referee makes determined effort to assert his control of the proceedings.

Rd 1: Sylvie shows caution coming out. Fight opens quite slowly as Mikie seems content to circle and look for openings. Steady exchanges taking place, but nothing much seems to be getting through to either fighter. After nearly two minutes of this, Sylvie seems lulled into a predictable pattern of attack and retreat. It is then Mikie uses her superior reach to slam home a right hook over Sylvie’s guard and catching her hard on the left eye, then swiftly follows with a left to the jaw. Sylvie is staggered, she tries to regroup. Mikie takes a step forward, then moves back to draw the Dutch model after her and when she’s in close, Mikie strikes with three whipping shots to the face. Sylvie spurting blood from her nose and looking glassy-eyed, but still on her feet as the round ends. A clear Miki Hara round.

Rd2: Mikie charges out from her corner at the opening bell and goes right at Sylvie, obviously intent on getting this job done in a hurry. Sylvie tries to jab, trying to keep up her guard, but it’s not enough. Right on the face opens that nose again, then she is ripped to the body with a left, a right, and another left into the solar plexus that opens her wide open. A right hook crashes into Sylvie’s chin and she sprawls on her back. Foxfire corner can be heard shouting: “STAY DOWN! STAY DOWN!” Sylvie may not have heard them as the crowd is wild with excitement, and so staggers to her feet. Mikie looks coldly upon this defiance and moves in to administer another lashing beat down. She starts with the belly, then the flanks, then pancakes Sylvie’s rack causing the blonde to hug her battered breasts protectively, but this opens her head to Mikie’s final attack. Sylvia’s chin up, then her head knocked from side to side and a then final straight right into that damaged nose sprays crimson as Sylvie crashes onto her back, starfished and groaning.
Referee starts the count and Sylvie makes a valiant attempt to rise, but can do no more than pull herself to her knees when the count reaches 10.

Mikie Hara of Front Street Japan wins KO2.

After: Mikie Hara salutes her fans and then goes to fetch her black belt. However Foxfire officials led by Jennifer Garner herself hustle the battered Sylvie van der Vaart away. Mikie seems amused at this, throwing the belt over her shoulder and strutting from the ring.

“I have no idea why they sent that Dutch girl out to fight me,” Miki says unkindly. “She was hopeless. Maybe next time they’ll find someone who can go at least a few rounds with me--and won’t run away from my belt.”

“Sylvie didn’t run away from anything,” Jennifer Garner asserts later. “She took a bad beating and was in no condition to be whipped. I am beginning to think Ms. Hara is nothing but a cowardly bully for trying something like that on a helpless opponent.”

So much for the hugs of the first fight. A definite chill is in the air after this one, not to mention the embarrassing fact for the Foxfire team that they now trail Front Street Japan 0-2.
