BEFORE: "It's gonna be Laura Vandervoort all over again!" Maria chirps happily, once again invoking her career-making wipe-out of lovely Laura. "Blonde girls come in like lionesses, but they leave like lambs - especially after I get into their ribcages for a few rounds! 'Vonnie's going down, baby: it's Maria time - yeah!"

Yvonne non-plussed, not buying either the threat or the comparison. "The only thing Laura and I have in common is hair colour," Yvonne smirks in rebuttal. "I'm altogether a more physical, harder-hitting and faster woman - a world away from the Maria-Menounos level of competition. People keep saying 'why take the risk - Rachel Nichols is right there', but I say 'what risk?' I'm head and shoulders above Maria - she's a tune up for Rachel, not a 'threat'."

Yvonne in metallic baby blue bikini; white gloves; long blonde hair wet. Maria in dark green bra style bikini top/yellow and green bumblebee style bottoms; yellow gloves; high pony with ringlets framing face.

During R1: Spitting high-jabs and a drilling right to chin put Maria wobbly-butt at the open...snarlin' Strahovski circling counterclockwise, kissing a swift left/right off Maria's chin as brunette's stepping in fence post holes to complete the pasting. Respect earned, Yvonne stays outside, picking away at hurtin' Maria via the jab and pinpoint, sudden rights...Menounos forming a tight earmuff, turning on the spot, just trusting her legs not to give way under the shelling. Bell: Maria blinking, wide eyed, wobbly-butt...Yvonne all frowning business back to her corner.

R2: 'Vonnie spitting a stiff triple jab, spanking away chest and face while rotating clockwise. Maria sputtering, but moving forward, occasionally swinging the wide, palm-down right into Yvonne's left-side lats. Strahovski's legs in control however - she's turning Maria, getting off first, punches strafing in straight, slashing trajectories across Maria's front.

R3: Maria stubbornly working her plan - stepping-to; establishing that heavy wide right to 'Vonnie's lats; slamming the hook to belly; looping over the top righty to club at Straho's head. Yvonne slugged into flat-footed compliance - she's trading toe to toe, fitting a nice right uppercut to Maria's sternum; hooking Maria's chin off the back (right) plant-leg. Menounos going at Yvonne in rangy, almost crude fashion - brunette bending/twisting her torso into shots, really torquing leverage onto Strahovski. Weight of shot prevails for Maria - Vonnie competitive, but grouchy at bell.

R4: Maria looking to anchor her assault with that wide right to the body...'Vonnie loping to her right takes the punch away, then fits Maria for slap-chopping, swift lead rights off the counter. Menounos' attack breaks down, disorganizing as she tries to close and bang at random...blonde legs in control, moving her in, out and around - she's stitching quick left/rights to Maria's wide open face, with occasional slap-chop rights devoted to rack. Easy, breezy blonde girl having her way - oh-so-slick triplet of jabs punches the mouthpiece off Maria's teeth at bell as Vonnie makes harsh eye contact.

R5: Maria bustin' up shiny, but still so stubborn...she's marching on 'Vonnie, stooping low, dropping her hands and whirling to Yvonne's torso - really beating that wide right hand into lats, then cleaning up hooks. Strahovski distressed - surprised at Maria's slugging vigor...blonde girl absorbing wallop, then loping away, trying to shake pursuit. Maria with a great couple of minutes walking Yvonne down and slugging her, but down the stretch - Menounos leaning in to work and takes a clipping right uppercut across the teeth! Maria's bumblebee-d buttocks on full wobble as she stomps in fence post holes...'Vonnie circles to Menounos' left flank, chopping rights down over Maria's left shoulder/hoisting lefts up into Maria's tummy as Menounos sputters with hurt. Yvonne steals the round, chesting up Big on Maria after the bell, breathing hot in her face until ref breaks 'em up.

R6: Vonnie looks to close the show on Maria - leaning in with right hands along brunette jawline, even as Menounos slams that wide right to 'Vonnie's leftside lats. Girls brawling lanky - stroking each other lefts and rights body and head...Maria steadily backing Straho to ropes in heavy trade. Hook clips across Yvonne's chin, startling her...she stares back in astonishment, momentarily confused: sweeping Menounos right pounds across blonde face, swiveling her head, draping Strahovski stunned in ropes. MARIA'S ALL IN! Big smile Maria Menounos - she's whirling away clanging overhand rights to jaw; rangy hooks...Strahovski helpless, sagging against ropes and THE REF STEPS IN! Good Lord - Maria Menounos upsets heavily favoured Yvonne TKO6!

After: "Woo!" a battered - but jubilant Maria shrieks as she hugs the interviewer in postfight. "That was awesome! I'M awesome! I tell you - blonde girls - they say that hair colour makes no difference, but I feel they really are softer inside. So used to being pampered and adored their whole loves, all you gotta do is get in there and work hard, and they fall apart! Pounded 'Vonnie's body just like I did Laura, and it broke Straho. Her legs and heart? I took 'em! Clanging away on her face was just icing - she was body-beat and leg-weary by the time I put the finishing touches to her!"
