BEFORE: "I'm in the best shape of my career," Moon announces in prefight. "I could make lightweight if I wanted, so stamina's not going to be a problem - I'm going to set a work-rate that I know Gena can't match. It's an important fight...Milena taking the title opens the field for everyone - wins are key right now. I feel like I'm a heartbeat away from the championship if I can excuse Nolin."

Nolin assessing the situation in harsher terms: "I'll say what Moon's too polite to say: Milena's the worst champion we've had in the Righetti era, and everyone wants to pounce her. I KNOW I can reclaim the belts if I get in with her, and if blasting Moon out will get me the shot, then Moon's gonna get blasted! Bloodgood's never been anything more than a sturdy punching bag, so I'm loving this match up - gonna get her good and beat; step over her limp and twitching body, and move on towards what's mine!"

During R1: Wide stance for Gena - she's slopping wide right hands as Moon's moving in low, keeping left hand high to block her way in. Bloodbood stepping close, packing a stout right hand palm-down to belly...brunette punching her blonde back in a series of punching collisions. Ropes: Nolin huffing and puffing, feeling Moon to the body; Bloodgood crouching close - using a short, pawing jab to occupy Gena up top, then RAMMING that palm-down right to body...Moon just pounding a steady stream of jamming blows belly/chest, loosening Nolin up. Gena hurt, trying to tie up, reaching for Moon's shoulders: chopping overhand right locates Gena's chin; swinging palm-down hook punches her mouth and BLONDE GIRL DOWN! Robust, no-frills slugging drops Nolin to her haunches...she's up quick, but takes a staring 8. Moon wades in, bodying Gena to ropes, laying atop her while plowing the left deep to belly...Nolin's face pinched in pain above Bloodgood's left shoulder - Moon pushing Gena's hips back, then plowing away rights and lefts as gurgling Gena ties up for break.

R2: Good stiff jab from Gena, nice wide stance...she's fending Moon off midring. Bloodgood crouching/bobbing - right at her cheek while left hand paws for Nolin, then hooks palm-down to receipt Gena's poke. Rangy, cagey stuff midring - Gena pivoting clockwise, reaching out her jab, being mindful of Moon's crafty little hook...some nice big-woman cat and mouse being played here.

R3: Moon with a cute little adjustment, shifting weight to right (back) leg juuust enough to get Gena reaching in with her poke...Nolin can't recover balance in time to avoid that swift, palm-down hook to chin. Bloodgood pivoting to her left after hooking-chin, showing finesse...Gena sputtering from hard chin-checks, getting disorganized. Nolin attempting to brawl her way back into the lead: Moon ducking in under blonde haymakers, carrying short right hands deep to breadbasket...Gena grunting in receipt, getting banged up in the exchanges.

R4: Gena adjusts - creep-stepping to her right while lifting the left jab off her hip, keeping that screen right hand cocked and ready. Moon turning-with, pawing her jab for Gena's left breast...blonde able to time her brunette, turning into sneaky, slinging rights, landing heavily about Bloodgood's head/shoulders. Moon falling behind - she starts to rush and jump in: Gena showing educated feet, hopping back in her stance, feeding Moon the check jab, then ringing her up righty before sidestepping to fresh angles.

R5: Gena pours it to Moon, going for knockout. Straight one-twos score early and often, punching Moon up out of her crouch, backing her up. Gena walks Moon down, then drills her righty again, punching Bloodgood's head back. Nolin getting her back into heavy, short, shocking rights when she has Moon on the ropes...Bloodgood tested again and again, absorbing heavy blows about head and shoulders; sliding along ropes with Gena stalking. Moon's granite chin on show - Gena banging away to glory, busting Bloodgood up, but unable to put sturdy brunette down. Bell: Gena mouthbreathing, frustrated - she cuffs a late left hook to trunks, enraging Moon as ref jumps in hot.

R6: Moon furious with Gena - girls swinging away wide n' wild midring, falling into a brawling embrace, allowing Moon to bull Gena ropeside. Moon getting her left palm on Gena's face, bending her back over top rope, bringing a bashing overhand right forearm down atop Gena's breasts...Nolin crying out, pushed and battered until ref pulls Moon off. Bloodgood seething, weaving her way in close, landing a swinging overhand right to Gena's head from a low crouch, keeping blonde-girl reeling on ropes. Moon pouring herself at Gena - pushing Nolin's shoulders back; dipping side to side while heaving palm-down overhand lefts or rights blind to Nolin's head. Gena battered, lolling ropeside, desperate to tie up, but Moon's assault overwhelming...Bloodgood fighting off Gena's chest, head down while whirling madcap blows to head; shoulders rolling while pump-shoving left/rights to breadbasket. Nolin breaking down, pushing and slapping back weak punches - getting bombarded in receipt...no one punch shatters her will, but the Bloodgood onslaught irresistible...wild exchange of rights and lefts sees Moon land a crashing palm-down hook to mouth that SENDS GENA DOWN! Blonde girl blown to her back parallel to ropes...she's whining - right hand reaching up to fumble at the ropes...seething Bloodgood storming to neutral corner...IT'S OVER! Gena blubbering, unable to get off her back - KO6 Bloodgood in brutal fashion.

AFter: Moon banged up, but satisfied...she gets working-woman's justice on a trunk-busting Gena, and puts her best foot forward in a wide-open welterweight division. "Gena on her back is the best result I could have hoped for," Moon says. "If Milena beats Kristanna, I seriously hope she looks my way. I took care of business tonight like a champ; my body's in terrific shape...all I need is a shot at those belts!"
