Before: CTS in a no-lose situation. She’s not a recognized lightweight she’s not a young fighter looking to prove something and she’s got Ashley making desperate concessions negotiations to pull this thing off. “All the pressure’s on her,” says veteran Courtney. “I wasn’t supposed to hang with her last time and I embarrassed her--now she’s got to look SPECTACULAR. The girl lacks technique--I don’t care how talented she is--I’ll pick her apart with my skills and it’s going to be another devastating night for her.”

During R1: Ashley slashing power strokes early--sizzling overhand rights, swinging hooks and SHE’S CATCHING COURTNEY FLUSH! Poor Smith is caught cold, head hammered to and fro--she backpedals to the ropes as a seething Ashley Scott steps-with and keeps on the lather. Scotty helping herself, getting ropey leverage on the long armed wallop, turning her hips sexy into shots--she’s tearing it up on Smith then COURTNEY FIGHTS BACK! Smith shellshocked, but composed, starts slipping and rolling at the ropes, making Ashley miss, then dropping a--short, precise rights and lefts on beautiful youngster’s face-SCOTT”S KNEES GIVE WAY! Courtney turning puncher, sensing an opening--she’s gambling on pounding right hands to chin in close, mopping up the hook as Ashley staggers back--Scott just staring, shipping shellack, Smith able to brawl her girl the length of the ropes, pounding away with slick, compact lefts and rights to the drowsy face and SCOTTY ANSWRS! Ashley starts catching Court licking right hands off her hip, twisting into slapping hooks--now it’s Smith backing up under healthy strokes to her face. Crowd on it’s feet, both women staggery midring, trading heartfelt wallop at the bell--what a round!

R2: Courtney much smarter, more cautious, choosier, ultimately more effective this round. Blonde stepping left, bending low, stepping out to change distance--she’s cleverly giving ground, making Ashley give up her height, then pinging away with raindrop combinations. Smith just thrusting straight lefts and rights, bringing her hands back to her chest--quick stabbing punches, then scooting to the side--lanky Ashley having trouble lining up the target, Courtney continues to target her foe’s beautiful face--both girls lumping up nicely through 2.

R3: COURTNEY NAILS~ ASHLEY A RIGHT HABND! Sudden, hammering cross over a lazy Scott jab--young lightweight staggering to her right, staring hurt, hands low as blonde hops-with and outs short clubbing blows on target. Scotty hounded to ropes under a pelting barrage, but naturally bigger girl proving resilient--Ashley brazens out the punishment then starts I swing back--twisting and turning into slinging side to side mayhem and SMITH GETS HURT! Scott with that supple, torquing delivery, whipping punches up off her thighs, clouts Smith hard upside the head and once again turns the tide in a furious see-saw battle. Smith under siege, retreating, bouncing off ropes to spin around her girl--blonde bring brunette to heel with good boxing at angles, staying outside Scott’s left shoulder to steal the round.

R4: Ashley loading up and missing a looping right hand--dramatic punch carries her close inside, she leans back out and catches Smith perfectly with a rising left hook! Poor Courtney out wobbly butt yet again, eyes glassy as she stamps for balance--Scott steps-to and tries to end this thing with whistling hooks and crosses. Predictable stuff--Courtney able to stand in the pocket, duck under the right, lean out over her back foot to evade Scott’s hook--soon Ashley’s over swinging and leaving herself open. Smith’s clever mitts taking advantage--she’s the more compact, more accurate puncher and she starts fitting in cute straight rights, nasty hooks, pounding back Scott’s face. THERE GO ASHLEY’S LEGS! Ashley caught a hook on her mouth, steps away, looks ok, the delayed reaction nearly pitches her onto her face. Brunette does a wounded skip to the ropes, eyes forlorn, covering up--Smith steps up and ROASTS that ribcage some snapping, loud hooks on the right side. Scott hurt, worn out--just leaning forward, soaking it up on her flank and finally reaching around blonde’s taut waist to the bell. During break, Smith’s winning the shoot out, but corner telling her to box smart, break the kid down patiently--his is a dangerous fight.

R5: Smith executing as asked early--beating Ashley to the punch by being straighter, timing better, judging distance better, judging distance better--veteran able to make up the stagger on Ashley’s superior physique and speed with sheer experience and guile. Scott looking to box more--use her height--she’s been coming forward and running into Smith punches, now she hangs back, trying to match wits and jabs. Cagey Courtney sees the stalemate develop, hen sits on Ashley’s jab, calmly waiting, timing stick and dropping a CHOPPING pull-counter right on that suspect Scott chin. Ashley’s legs give way AGAIN--sending her reeling rubbery-kneed all over the ring. Smith able to jab and bully her girl to the ropes then REEFS hooks at the ribcage, Scotty crying out as she covers up and buckles forward, giving veteran blonde the landscape to set her hips and cranks at the bell. Courtney breathing hard, but bright-eyed--she’s been hurt, but she’s giving better than she’s taking and she’s beating this kid up tonight.

R6: Courtney pressing the attack, doubling up her jab to Ashley’s chest, stepping her back and looking to get over with that pounding right. Scotty sliding back in good order, dragging her front foot, backhanding her jab, then slapping the hook, just brushing Court to measure her, all so sudden--Ashley slides back into a power punching stance, leans into a shirt right, lanky delivery tightened up nice and Court walks straight into the clout! SMITH GOES DOWN! Crowd shouting on impact--ultra-violent connect shatters Smith as she comes forward, sending tremors up Ashley’s right arm--brunette staggers back from the collision, blonde spills to her face and it’s OVER! Blistering KO6 Ashley Scott.

After: Scott finally laying hated Courtney out proper--devastating whack the result of Smith’s growing lack of respect after having outhit and out brawled the younger woman though 5 previous heats. Scott battered unrecognizable, but lightweight frame able to soak up Courtney’s pesky power--Smith gambles, pays the price as youth is served.
