TESS VALMORE

GRACE/ KE$HA This bout turned out to be a better fight than I anticipated. I think I underestimated Grace. Ke$ha opened a big lead in the first three, flooring Grace in the second. Grace then picked away at the lead until Ke$ha again opened a big lead in the sixth. Grace then once again cut down the lead, but needed a big final round to have a chance of winning. She didn’t get it and Ke$ha got the decision

MINNILLO/ PARK I was looking to see where Smackey was and almost missed this fight. Minnillo was simply a speed bag for Parks who took less than a minute to finish off her opponent. Park by a one round KO

MINOGUE/ STEWART Once again this fight was much better than I expected. Minogue won the first two rounds and was still in the lead at the end of six. Stewart came back to take the lead winning the next three rounds and giving a Minogue a real beating in the ninth. It would have probably taken a KO for Minogue to win. It didn't happen. Stewart got the decision. Criticism of Stewart’s record by another manager has set off some controversy.

SWIFT/ PERRY Once again I underestimated a fighter. This time it was Swift, who I thought would be an easy win for Perry. She definitely wasn’t. She took the first round but Perry took over in the second. Swift was behind on the cards most of the way until the eighth when she had a big 10-8 round to draw even. The last two rounds didn’t change anything and the fight was declared a draw and went into extra rounds. Perry did some serious damage to Swift in the eleventh and finally knocked her out in the twelfth

LADY GAGA/ J. L. SPEARS. My broadcast partner said it all in her ceiling/ floor analysis. She declared Spears to be inconsistent. Although I didn’t say so, I agreed with her as I had predicted Gaga would win this fight and stop a Front Street sweep. Spears was never in this fight. Gaga won every round, decking Spears twice in the fifth. In the sixth, Gaga smeared Spears along the ropes until her sister threw in the towel stopping the fight. Gaga wins her third fight against Front Street by a TKO

JOLIE/ MACK Jolie may be a better known celebrity in the entertainment world, but in the FCBA, she is a second stringer. I didn’t think she would have any chance against Mack. It was just going to be a matter of time. Jolie won the first two rounds, but you could sense it still only a matter of time. Mack took control of the fight in the third. How long was it going to take her to end it? Six rounds. In the sixth, Mack floored Jolie who got up only to be beaten into a stupor and the referee stopped the fight.
