Clara makes her first defence against the tough and up-and-coming Tulisa, who really fancies her chances tonight against Clara, a girls she claims to be unfit, and hittable – we shall see!

As challenger, Tulisa enters the ring first, and she looks good in a red bikini tonight, with matching boots and white gloves, posing in her familiar way with her tattooed forearm thrust at the camera. Clara makes her way slowly and confidently to the ring. She’s enjoying the limelight, and her outfit shows it – baby blue bra, briefs, boots and gloves, and the blonde champion looks fit enough to the fans who cheer her on!

Round 1

The girls are not spending too much time stalking each other here, and they swap punches in the centre of the ring straight away, each of them landing some neat shots to the other’s face, and it looks like Tulisa got the better of the first exchange as Clara steps away. She doesn’t go after her though, sensing a trap, which frustrates Clara enough to make her come looking for the challenger – and she finds her, too, snapping her head back with a solid right jab, and another, then she gives her a couple of shots to the ribs, with Tulisa responding, landing a good right cross on Clara’s face, and the French girl again backs off, not wanting to mix it with Tulisa at this stage, and the girls nod at each other as the round closes.

Round 2

Again the girls both want to establish bragging rights early in the round, and again it’s Tulisa who lands the better punches, with Clara mistiming hers, and Tulisa sends Clara backwards with a good left hand to the mouth, comes in to hit her again, but she’s sent back when the French girl hits her to the body, left and right. Clara’s not out of trouble, though, and Tulisa gets through her defence again, slipping her a tasty right hook, closes in, but Clara clinches and keeps her tied up. Clara gets through to Tulisa after the girls are broken, hitting her hard to the body, but Tulisa defends well, and has enough to send Clara back to the ropes with a swift one, two and ends the round on top.

Round 3

Tulisa is swiftly out of her corner and across the ring, but she finds Clara in a more aggressive pose, and the French girl hits her to the ribs, then the belly, gives her a solid left uppercut, and has Tulisa staggering backwards. This is Clara at her bullying best, and she cracks a left hand across the challenger’s mouth, fins her body again with a right, then doubles up with a right to the face, gets through with another uppercut, and Tulisa stumbles, but won’t go down! Clara again hits the younger girl to the body, and again – Tulisa’s on the ropes, and she covers up well, keeps Clara at bay and struggles through a difficult round.

Round 4

If Tulisa was hurt in the previous round, she seems to have shrugged it off, and she moves back across the ring and cuffs Clara around the ear with a left hook. Clara responds well, again targeting Tulisa’s midriff, and she’s bending the girl over again, looking for the uppercut – then Tulisa straightens and fights back! Tulisa hurts Clara it seems, because the French girl is laying backwards against the ropes now, with the Brit tucking into her like crazy, Clara covering her face with her gloves, then taking a good shot to the body, but fighting back hard towards the end of the round, punching her way out of trouble, and sending Tulisa backwards again – it’s still the younger girl’s round, but Clara’s showing her whether she’s fit or not!

Round 5

This time Tulisa’s a little slower out of her corner, but she’s still attacking – maybe this suits Clara though, as she punches well on the counter, and stops Tulisa in her tracks with a good three punch combination to the Brit’s face, then follows up with a couple of smacking punches to the body, followed by that uppercut, and that has Tulisa teetering backwards again, a little smear of blood around her nostrils, and this seems to encourage the French girl, who now pushes Tulisa along the ropes, thudding left jabs into her face, sends a right to her body, then slides the brunette towards the corner with a crashing left hook to the jaw. Tulisa’s legs are remaining solid, but Clara’s giving her a beating in the final seconds, and the challenger’s face is getting really marked up now.

Round 6

Clara seems to be almost champing to get forwards now, but she won’t rush in – she’s got too much experience to make that mistake, and it’s a matter of starting over again in this round, giving Tulisa’s body a bit of hammer for almost the whole of the first minute, the younger girl doing her best to fight back, but this is taking the speed and strength out of her, and she again gets caught with Clara’s left uppercut, and steps back to the ropes, eats a left hook, then a right smacks into her cheek, her knees start to give, and she gets another right hook to follow it – down goes Tulisa at last! She’s hurt, that’s for sure, but gets to her feet at 6, not looking certain what’s going on, but she’s soon reminded, as Clara wades in, gives her a great three punch combo, and Tulisa’s down again, on her knees, with her gumshield hanging out, just beating the count at 8, and saved by the bell.

Round 7

Tulisa really does look battered now, and that battering has left her face very bruised, but still Clara plays this fight cautiously, not taking victory for granted, and she begins the round in usual fashion, almost blotting out the fact that she’s almost finished Tulisa off just over a minute ago, and she thuds more punches into the younger girl’s body before she looks for that knowckout! Tulisa’s defending herself well, though, and is even starting to fight back, standing her ground and trading with the French girl, who rips a hard left hook into Tulisa’s face, and cuts her – the spirit may be strong, but her flesh is weakening, and that cut eyebrow may spell the end for her. Again Tulisa fights back, though, and she thuds a couple of good left hooks into Clara’s body before the bell pauses the action again.

Round 8

Clara shakes her head as she finds Tulisa in her corner again in the opening seconds, and she can’t get to work on the girl’s body, because the challenger has her trapped there in her own corner – suddenly Clare looks tired, and she takes a couple of Tulisa’s best hooks to her face, then escapes by hitting the younger girl in the belly again, turning her, but standing off, not wanting to trade with her. Tulisa is really digging deep, and she comes after Clara, hitting her with a few shots, but missing with many, and the French girl is again on the ropes, almost allowing Tulisa to hit her arms and body without response, and maybe she hasn’t anything left now – she could be vulnerable!

Round 9

Tulisa is showing incredible spirit here – she’s badly bruised, cut, and battered, yet she’s taking the fight to an exhausted Clara Morgane, and she’s getting her punches through the French girl’s defence, and rocks her with a right hook! This fight isn’t over, and Tulisa is beginning to look like she can pull it out of the fire! Clara covers her head well, gloves upside her cheeks, and she tucks her elbows in, too – the girl is good in defence, and again she lets Tulisa make the running, takes punch after punch on her arms and hips, almost concedes the round, but can sense that the younger girl is almost spent, and she tests her out in the closing seconds, launching a clubbing counterattack which sends the Brit stuttering back, her face again streaked with blood, and she clinches to stay til the bell.

Round 10

The girls bang gloves, but now Clara looks like she’s weathered the storm, and she gives Tulisa a good pair of jabs to the face, waits to see what comes back, then starts to knock the younger girl around the ring again. Tulisa just can’t get anything together now, and she’s backed up to the ropes, where Clara hurts her again with punches to her body, but manages to block the inevitable uppercut, and now Clara is beginning to showboat, carrying her gloves low and banging them out at Tulisa, prancing on her toes – fair play, as she must be exhausted too – showing the challenger that she’s still in charge, and finds that battered face again, left jab, left jab, right jab, left jab – there’s more blood on Tulisa’s face, and she’s cut somewhere else now – right cheek this time, with just seconds left, and she’s in a neutral corner, almost out on her feet – but not quite as the bell ends this savage bout!

The judges have an easy job – Clara Morgane beat Tulisa Contostavlos on points – all three judges gave it to her and she deserved it – she’s retained the BBU bantamweight title.

Clara doesn’t seem to have the energy to celebrate her victory, and she embraces Tulisa, showing the girls she’s just beaten a considerable amount of respect, which makes a pleasant change in the b###hy world of BBU boxing.
