BEFORE: "Is she stronger than me?" Kelly asks at podium, eyebrows raised. "Sure - probably. But you guys need to realize that the comic-con circuit is FILLED with Mitra-strong women - girls you guys probably don't even know. I've got the technique to blunt her strength - and when I mess up - I'm tuff enuff to ride it out. All respect to Adrianne Pallicki, who's a hell of a fighter, but Rhona didn't impress me in that battle. I knew she'd knock Pallicki out. I'm just saying, I got this, and you guys will just have to watch to see how and why."

Mitra cool and collected as always...and basking in the light of notoriety with Pallicki's scalp on her mantle. "I'm a hard woman," Rhona shrugs in prefight. "I know Joanne's a crafty one, but end of the day: you cannot finesse me. I WILL make this woman trade - that is definitely going to happen, and when it does? I don't see Kelly surviving it."

Joanne in red/black tartan print, bar-style bikini; black gloves; hair back in tight battle-bun. Rhona in two-piece cotton underwear - dark brown sport top/baby blue panties; powder blue gloves; hair loose.

During R1,2: 6 hard minutes for Joanne K as Mitra gets right to business. Rhona chin-tucked, dukes up, advancing behind a stiff jab; stepping close to whack the waistline right/left; bobbing to slip receipts, then hooking hard to chin. Kelly punched out of her stance, rooted from her positions, chased to ropes, hounded and pounded about the ring. She's defensively sound - blocking a lot of shots, or laying back in ropes to slap-parry Rhona's mitts out of the air...but Kelly unable to hold canvas or offer back much in 2 shutout heats for hard-eyed Mitra.

R3: Kelly digging in - assuming forward aspect with weight over front (left) leg, dukes at cheeks as she waits in the pocket, then fits Rhona for stout left uppercuts as Mitra's stepping-to. Rhona munching, then answering: hot-tossing right/lefts to waist punching Joanne grumpy, then she's trading for her life as Mitra bashes up-torso with both mitts. Kelly forced to step-out, but she's controlling her retreats - issuing relaxed check-jabs out of her backpedal, setting, receiving Mitra with the stubby left uppercut. Fairly even, hard punching 2 minutes suddenly goes all Rhona when a bashing palm-down right swivels Kelly's head, putting her wobbly-butt! Joanne stunned, earmuffing up...OH she takes a savage left uppercut to sternum - lifting her onto her toes/nearly setting her on her haunches as she struggles to stay standing. Rhona lavish with her punishment to Kelly's left flank - really bending torso-left to haul right hands in...Joanne thumped into open-mouthed shock at the bell.

R4: Rhona marching on Joanne - Mitra's face set in stone, eyes hard, lips pressed tight as she walks Kelly down. Joanne showing dukes at temples, setting in forward aspect...she's fighting in spots - placing the left uppercut stout to chin; trying to push her guard into Rhona's shoulders, but Mitra's bulling forward. Rhona taking Kelly's punch - beating hell out of Kelly's waistline/ribs, walking her down and bashing her upside the head in brutal persistence. Bell: Kelly blinking, busting up...Rhona gives her a glacial glance before turning away for corner.

R5: Fifth straight round for Rhona: grim retreat, thumping punishment for Kelly. Joanne stubborn in the pocket, keeping dukes up, but fans wince to see her take thudding left hooks behind right elbow, or stand in as Mitra clobbers away right/left upside head. Kelly staggering/regrouping/staggering/regrouping...Rhona SO systematic walking her girl down, punishing her, breaking her down. Kelly cringing from hooks in her waist late - her torso warping slightly around Rhona's fist...Mitra's got Kelly in a bad way through 5.

R6: 6 straight heats for Rhona as her jab starts pounding Kelly's head back - ejecting Joanne's mouthpiece at one point. Steady, numbing body assault buckling Joanne, causing her to clinch: Kelly doing a good job milking these moments, running the clock until ref moves in. Joanne not shutout - jabbing Rhona's face; placing the left uppercut to chin in spots, but Mitra's pushing the pride of Syfy downhill through 6.

R7: Jo jabbin' - punching stiff to face...she's slowing Rhona's advance, sidestepping to turn the Mitra right flank. Good tactic: Rhona likes to come forward and set...when she's adjusting, she's not getting off. Joanne playing angles well - steering Rhona via the jab, turning her midring - even banging home strong right crosses in spots...Rhona unhurt, but she's doing a lot of following-and-eating in a Kelly shutout 7th.

R8: Rhona pushing forward, facing into JK's jab; getting pre-empted as Kelly baits traps, scores, then sidesteps. Rhona finding the waist right/left but it's expensive now: Kelly tattooing one-twos on Rhona's approach; greeting her via left uppercut to chin, then hanging around long enough to score short right hands while Mitra's snatching body. Midway through, Kelly pastes Mitra a pair of heavy rights - turning Rhona's head both times...while Mitra's covering up earmuff, Kelly dips left shoulder and BURIES left uppercut to breadbasket! Rhona shouting "GAH-H!" as she pitches forward, tip-toeing hurt into Kelly's arms...Jo wrestling Rhona to ropes, pushing free of Mitra's clinch and BRINGING THE HURT! Jo baring teeth, twisting side to side with clouting, determined right/lefts - belting Mitra's head to-and-fro. Rhona staring, getting lit up...she's uncomfortable backed to ropes, showing a shabby crossed arm with right hand at left shoulder/left across gut - not punching back as Joanne beats her! KELLY POURS IT ON! Jo sensing sudden victory - now pushing wilting Rhona upright, stacking her before leaning into gobsmacking clout. Terrific shellacking bombardment belts the British hard-woman out on her feet, but she's still ON her feet...ref forced to pull seething Kelly away as Rhona's curvy legs hold her up. 10-8 without the knockdown...Kelly clawing her back into the fight late!

R9: Kelly got the ball rolling with a body shot in the 8th: she's right back in there - leaning in on left (front) foot, dipping left shoulder and really pumping the left uppercuts to breadbasket. Rhona groaning, unable to take it...she's backing away ashen faced - eyes almost PLEADING - showing a crossed-arm look to protect her throbbing bod. Joanne relentless, cold-blooded - just walking Mitra down; touching her the jab; dropping the right hand to get Rhona out of crossed-arm into earmuff, then OH, JO'S DIGGIN' THE UPPERCUTS TO MIDSECTION! Kelly loving the body on Rhona...Mitra biting back on sobs as she limps away, but down the stretch...girls trade drifting rights/come-back hooks and KELLY'S SWAYING HURT ON HER HIPS! Rhona mouthbreathing, eyes wincing, but she wills herself forward...Mitra over to offence, wading into Kelly's waistline via thudding right/lefts, BEATING JOANNE TO ROPES! Kelly's head whiplashing on a limp neck...she's shabby with hurt, glomming on to clinch...Rhona trying to push Jo's hips or ribs to get free as ref moves in.

R10: Grimacing vixens cringe to midring, both women busted-lumpy and rib-sore. Kelly slips under a Rhona right; hooks the Mitra belly; hooks her chin as Mitra's hooking...Mitra staggers back spellbound. Kelly steps in a stiff jab, punch-ejecting Mitra's mouthpiece while snapping her head back then DRIFTING in the slashing right cross! Head-swivel Mitra and RHONA GOES DOWN!!! Mitra kissed a perfect cross to chin - her legs locking up as her torso slops forward/butt drops back - eventually splashing her to her back. Joanne reeling for neutral corner, looking stunned, but MITRA CAN'T BEAT THE COUNT! KO10 in heartpounding fashion, Joanne Kelly.

AFter: Kelly crying tears of relief and vindication...huge come-from-behind stoppage proves Jo's a small-screen genre-actress badass herself. "Knew it would be tough," Jo winces in postfight - face puffy/ribs all tensered up. "Girl hits hard...just keeps coming...she's like the British terminator. But like I've been saying all along...this is the kind of fighting we do on the con-circuit - this is what it's like. It's hard, relentless action - with girls who are really hungry for exposure...nobody's pampered; everybody's the same, and you're only as good as your last fight. I keep saying it and I'll say it again: Anna Torv, that's who I want. Anna thinks she's doing Shakespeare on Fringe, but guess what? Just another genre show. She's not better than me and I want to prove it on her."
