Just three weeks after failing to avenge a previous loss to Rochelle Wiseman, Jessica Schwarz targets the bantamweight crown instead which she lost to Erica Cerra back in May. With Cerra out of the picture for now, several established names have come to the fore with Sacha Parkinson and Clara Mograne duking it out in the other title eliminator. Reigning champion Elodie Frege awaits the winner of this mini-brawl and Schwarz's rival is none other than one of the most experienced fighters in BBU history, Lisa Maffia, who lost to Frege in Cannes just recently but remains in the bantamweight mix claiming biased judging in Frege's home country prevented her from becoming the first multi-divisional champ in BBU's history

Maffia and Schwarz have never fought before with the English singer campaigning at lightweight for most of her career before back-to-back losses to Sarah Harding and Pippa Middleton forced her out of the division.

Round 1:
Schwarz means business from the start and she's whipping jabs into Maffia's body as the singer tries to circle around in avoidance but gets laced repeatedly and forced to respond in rather chaotic manner. She misses couple of hooks and gets whacked on the chin with a fine left herself and that only spurs the German into more thundering shots to the body and Lisa just leans on her looks for an early clinch but gets her head snapped back couple of times as Jessica is sharp as rarely before and continues to rain punches to the body with Maffia ducking and weaving on her feet but unable to tame the barrage for remainder of the round and Schwarz seems upset she hasn't hurt her opponent even more.

Round 2:
More from Jessica who beats Lisa's footwork and slams a cross-hook across the nose, follows up with more low jabs to the ribs and that has Maffia moaning in pain before another cross-hooks spins her to the ropes and Jessica pours in with more venom, whacks the hapless rival on the body, finds a way through her gloves with a crisp uppercut and snaps her head back with a huge shot on the jaw. Maffia's eyes close and she gets nailed on the temple as Schwarz continues to work her over, slamming shots to the chest now and just beating the crap out of the English girl but Lisa refuses to go down here, finally forces a clinch late in the going but that looked like Schwarz got tired a bit and lost her forcus. Maffia just doesn't let go in the final seconds and the ref does little to help the German dominator but that makes no difference as it's a Jessica rout through six minutes and Lisa looking totally out of her league.

Round 3:
Schwarz thumping punches into Maffia's face again! Quick jabs land on the singer's nose as she struggles to keep the German brunette at bay and Jessica just works her methodical approach, almost too easy for her to give Lisa so much trouble and indeed Maffia's face gets rocked back and forth before a flurry of shots catch her on the jugs and push against the ropes. Lisa tries to recover, whips a solid left hook on the temple but Schwarz ignores it, lays into her foe with more low jabs on the ribcage, bounces off the rack and keeps her pinned in hapless position but Lisa refuses to sink on her knees and throws single shots over the top, crashes off the leather, flicks an occassional jab on the cheek but Schwarz pounds her on the jugs again and forces to cover up and it's another bad round for the English girl.

Round 4:
Maffia with a furious leap, coach Denise Lewis seemingly told her to go out there and ignite some hood style to see whether it works and a leather trading ensues in the middle of the ring with more Lisa's shots now reaching the German and nailing her on the cheeks, but still not good enough to cause any trouble to Jessica who responds with more jabs on the chest and ribcage. However she misses an uppercut put away, allows Maffia to catch her on the liver and cross-hook to the nose and that has Schwarz wobbling a bit before a right hook bangs her on the temple and forces to step away. Lisa leans on her, jumps to her again and snaps her head back with couple of hooks and it's Schwarz's turn to cover up as the singer keeps her honest with repeated slaps to the body, but she can't break through the gloves here, yet finally stops the German rout and looks more lively at the bell, almost disappointed to hear the bell.

Round 5:
Lisa is back with more meaningful punches, skips under a lurid hook from Jessica and nails her on the liver again, whips several quick jabs to the ribs and has the German moaning and looking cumbersome all of the sudden. Cross-hook on the face, uppercut on the chin follow and Jessica's face gets reddened as she works single jabs over the top, but fails to split her foe's mitts and gets cleaned out on the midsection instead. Maffia drops her head and drives forward, almost headbutts the actress before banging more shots on the ribs and Schwarz seeks a clinch but gets whacked on the tummy and again on the jugs and as she opens up, trying to counter, Maffia flicks a straight jab on the nose and that has drawn blood as dark stains quickly appear on Schwarz's red basque top! Lisa with more single hand on the nose, breaking through Jessica's guard at will and the German brunette looks shell-shocked at the bell with blood pouring from her nose!

Round 6:
Maffia wants more; she jabs after her rival's patched-up nose and bounces her head back as Jessica seems hurt here and unable to tame the onslaught and Lisa whips her on the rack too, throws another flurry of shots on the body and wobbles the German who is happy just to cover up but she still takes a beating and Maffia spikes her over the top and there's more blood on display now, Schwarz manages to stay off the ropes but pays a prize for it as Lisa outworks her from mid-range, leans on her and thumps more uppercuts on the jugs. Jessica with some wild response, misses her shots though and gets pinged on the nose again with Lisa barking in delight as she snaps the German's head back repeatedly and it's all going wrong for the former bantam champ who gets bend to the side before another low sequence on the navel makes her wince in pain and there's more from Maffia in the final minute. She whips her jabs on the tummy, manages to push the aching actress on the ropes and bend her forward with a midsection pummelling and Schwarz is in serious trouble here, moaning in agony and just trying to clinch and luckily for her, Lisa fails to stretch her arms, struggles to put some force behind her shots and reverts into the stalemate in the dying seconds which makes coach Denise Lewis angry. One must think the Beever's camp is targeting an imminient knockout here!

Round 7:
Schwarz looks the worse to wear of the two and now she applies the all-or-nothing tactics with Lisa barely impressed. Left hook from Jessica misses but Lisa drops her arms too much, almost curious to see what the German has got left in the tank and a right jab nails her on the stomach before a left hook hits the target finally and lands on Maffia's mouth. Lisa wobbles a bit but quickly pounces with the reply, throws a flurry of shots on the chest, yet Jessica dekes to the side, slips under a lurid hook and bangs a jabbing combo on the liver, whacks the singer across the chest and Maffia's eyes open wide here as Schwarz clubs her on the nose with a right hook and now it's the English girl bleeding with the German landing a perfect ten there! Ferocious striking from both sides follows, girls are angry and Lisa will be kicking herself for that lapse if she fails to put her opponent away. Jessica keeps ducking low and attacking Maffia's ribcage, flicks an occassional uppercut on the chest while Lisa goes hood style again, jabs with lots of mean intentions but lacks precision and gets laced around the elbows and must jump back in the final minute as Schwarz goes after her nonetherless and reaches around the elbows, hassles the singer to the ropes and whips a straight jab on the nose as Lisa looked confused and protected her midsection instead. At the bell it's Maffia's top covered in blood and she truly looks angry here after basically inviting the German back into this bout.

Round 8:
Both girls charge from their stools and this one is officially a personal matters at stake type of combat with Lisa swinging to the head but missing and Jessica counters her on the liver, bounces off the chest, has the singer wobbling briefly but still looking for that haymaker. Short pause, circling back and forth... Lisa blinks first, left hook on the temple intended, Jessica counters... Maffia skims off the ear, left hand on the nose instead... Schwarz just beat her to that haymaker!!! Lisa's nose is a pile of blood again and the English singer looks staggered.. Right hand on the mouth, left on the ribs... Uppercut on the chin and Maffia eats her own gloves that got pushed against her nose and DOWN SHE GOES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING... Tremendous combo from the German brunette results in Maffia landing on all fours and there are stains of blood on the canvas now as the nose wound is significant... Lisa takes her time, watches the blood stains getting bigger and launches herself upright at seven, small wobble in the proccess and oh my, her face looks messy. Coach Denise Lewis with her teeth exposed, looks worried and ref doesn't call for the medics here, this will go down to the extreme. On comes Schwarz with a flurry of shots against the wounded singer. Maffia wipes the blood off her face but Jessica reaches for her nose again, breaks through the mitts and thumps more punches right on target... Lisa wobbles back and falls on the ropes, protects her face in vain, but turns to the side as Schwarz keeps piling on the leather!!! Left hook on the temple, loud groan of pain from the English girl but a right uppercut snaps her head back again, left hook on the nose... Jessica seemingly wants to break Lisa's nose in pieces and Maffia drops her head, begins to mumble in disarray... REF STEPS IN... stops the blood bath and grabs the German brunette from behind around the shoulders and shoves to the side as Lisa bursts into spasms along the corner post... TKO R8 Jessica Schwarz!!!

Post-fight:
German joy in the Lioness Club corner as Jessica Schwarz is finally able to smile and get involved in a friendly chat with coach Gina Wild. This was a strange fight though, Schwarz dominated early and had Maffia at her mercy before a great comeback from the English singer nearly gave her the edge instead. In the end it all went down to some core punching power and Jessica hurt Lisa beyond the limits earlier thus securing a hard-fought win. Indeed Maffia ended up with her face covered in blood but both girls roughed each other up in the proccess and it was a fight worthy of the highest standards in the bantamweight division.

What comes next? Jessica claims she doesn't care if she's forced to fight Clara Morgane before she can take a swing at former stablemate Elodie Frege for the bantamweight crown outright. "I will beat both those French impostors and claim the title back! Lisa thought she had me hurt and beaten, but I showed her who's the boss in bantam! Clara and Elodie better take notice cause I will do likewise with both of you if neccessary!"
