Lookout! Boxing Is Coming To Town
“Let it Snow Let It Snow Let it Snow.” was blaring over the loudspeakers of the bus as it pulled into the arena for this inaugural PPV held by Lookout! Boxing, titled the “Fight Before Christmas.” and outside, it certainly was. As with all Lookout! Boxing events thus far, it was held in California, where snow was definitely not as abundant as you might imagine. However, to achieve the feel of a “White Christmas” here for the card, Lookout! Boxing and Paris Hilton had obtained numerous snow making machines, which were certainly working. The bus driver and the bus itself were unaccustomed to dealing with a full blizzard that appeared to be on display as the snow machines were apparently in overdrive. It wasn't simply the lightly falling snow that they had hoped for and in the meantime, the bus continued to make its slow progress towards the arena.
Lookout! fighters around the bus certainly hoped it would turn out to be the most wonderful time of the year for them, taking on some of their biggest rivals and obstacles here in the FCBA. Paris Hilton and Michelle Trachtenberg were sitting near the front, alternating between urging the bus driver to keep moving forward and looking around at their roster, with the dysfunction and snark that had earned them accolades (of sorts) from Snark Magazine recently on full display. Paris Hilton had (wisely) reserved a bus large enough to accommodate her roster, most of whom were unable or unwilling to share a seat. Even if they were willing to – it simply didn't tend to work out.
Some of them could sit close enough to each other, for example – the Disney flyweightsVanessa, Ashley and Brenda – though they exchanged taunts throughout the ride. Brenda talked about how she would be the one to surpass Hayden, which drew swift snark from both Vanessa and Ashley. Eventually, they both ignored Song as Vanessa exchanged taunting texts with Jessica Lowndes and Ashley Tisdale read article after article on her upcoming opponent Kristin Kreuk. Minka Kelly and Elisha Cuthbert were seated on opposite ends of the bus. Leighton Meester and Minka usually got along, but not today and even Elisha was having difficulty coping with Leighton's newfound success. Leighton was exchanging taunts with both bantam fighters and crowing about what she hoped would be a successful win over Jessica Lowndes. Nina Dobrev and Emily VanCamp were seated nearby, up until Nina brought up her win over Ashley Madekwe and that seating arrangement was short-lived. Jessica Simpson and Kim Kardashian were both seated far away from each other too, with surprisingly Lindsay Lohan being the voice of reason between the two – when she wasn't arguing with Hilary Duff. Seated in the middle – keeping the two separate sides from charging one another – was Missy Peregrym and Yvonne Strahovski. Not that Missy and Yvonne didn't have their own scuffles and exchanges, but for the most part, they kept the peace.
However, the longer the ride took, the more difficult it became to keep things under control. Suddenly, the bus came to a sudden halt as one of the tires became stuck in the snow as a result of the snow machines going into overdrive. Despite the best efforts by the driver to get the bus unstuck, it appeared they were going nowhere at the moment. Recognizing a potential disaster, Paris Hilton looked through the falling snow to see the arena just a short distance away. It wasn't cold outside at all, despite appearances and the Lookout! roster was clad in mostly shorts and tank-tops. Making a quick decision with Michelle, they decided to walk to the arena. It was a risk, but a calculated one and Paris decided the quicker they got into the arena and into their separate locker rooms, the better. Some (mostly) good-natured teasing, grumbling and shoved occurred as they got off the bus, with Paris ensuring nobody pushed anybody off of it, which was surprisingly difficult. But, once they got off the bus, it was a short but leisurely walk to the arena.
Or it should've been.
Lookout! Boxing fighters didn't take more than a few steps before they were pelted with snowballs. A wave of snowballs came towards them as their brief excursion to the arena turned into a winter wonderland warzone. It was impossible to tell exactly who was targeting them throgh the swirling snow, but Lookout! fighters were able to make out some of their rivals in the snow.
Kim Kardashian was being targeted by the likes of Kendra Wilkinson, Shakira and Beyonce Knowles, pelting her all over her body. Jessica Simpson was exchanging snow balls flying through the air with fighters like Danielle Fishel, Christina Ricci and Beverley Mitchell, with most of the snowballs aiming for her jugs, drawing loud bleats from Simpson. Vanessa Hudgens was certain she saw girls like Kat Graham, Sara Jean Underwood, Michelle Williams, and Hayden Panettiere tossing snow balls her way. Vanessa just knew she saw Jessica Lowndes too, throwing a snowball that hit her right in the face!
Ashley Tisdale knew there was no mistaking Kristin Kreuk's impish little smile despite the snow but was under assault from girls like Heather Hemmens, Sienna Miller and Natalie Portman too. Brenda Song was dodging flying snowballs from Hayden Panettiere too, but girls like Cassie Scerbo, Miley Cyrus and Jamie Lynn Spears too. Minka Kelly found herself pelted with snowballs from girls like Eliza Dushku, Summer Glau and Evangeline Lilly. Emily VanCamp was forced to avoid a flurry of snowballs from girls like Amy Acker, Ashley Madekwe, Shay Mitchell and Troian Bellisario. Nina Dobrev couldn't believe she was forced to go on the offensive against girls like Jamie Chung, Katie Cassidy, Keira Knightley, Demi Lovato and Annalyne McCord. Nina even thought she saw Candice Accola throw some snowballs her way, but wasn't sure about that.
Lindsay Lohan was being hit on all sides from girls like Emma Stone, Willa Holland, Miley Cyrus and Sarah Carter. Hilary Duff was hurling snowballs back against Kelly Clarkson, her own sister Haylie Duff and the aptly named Brittany Snow. Leighton Meester was dealing with Jessica Lowndes as well as Annalynne McCord, but also Megan Fox, Lucy Hale and Sarah Carter. The onslaught for Elisha Cuthbert came from girls like Ashley Greene, Olivia Munn, Rachel McAdams, Neve Campbell and Jennifer Love Hewitt.
Missy Peregrym was doing her best to keep throwing back snowballs against girls like Ali Larter, Adrianne Palicki, Jessica Biel and Kaley Cuoco while fellow lightweight Yvonne Strahovski fought back against a constant storm of snowballs from some of the same group but also rivals such as Jennifer Carpenter, Tricia Helfer, Erica Durance, Odette Yustman and of course, Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
It was clear the Lookout! Boxing forces were overwhelmed and were victims of what appeared to be a well-planned ambush from opposing rosters. Definitely a spirited snowball battle though as the Lookout! Boxing roster was holding their own, battering their opponents in pitched snow combat in order to give as good as they were getting. However, the sheer numbers began to get to them as they huddled in a circle to try to present a united defense. The snowballs began to come down fast and furious, when an unexpected hope arrived in the form of Leven Ramben. Leven, often blamed for the previous brawl, came through with an attempt to stop this one.
Sneaking in virtually unnoticed near the chaos, Leven positioned herself near Sarah Carter, throwing a snowball that smacked right into the face of Hayden Panettiere, almost knocking her off her feet. Swiftly, Leven repeated that with snowballs aimed from nearby Jennifer Love Hewitt into the jugs of Lacey Chabert, from Aly Michalka towards Annalynne McCord, from Kaley Cuoco into Jessica Biel or Ashley Benson right into Lucy Hale. Surprised cries, shouts and reactions occurred as they were attacked unexpectedly from behind rather than from the assembled Lookout! Boxing roster. Soon, Leven didn't have to throw any more as vicious and short-range snowball flurries were being exchanged between the girls mentioned above, plus others like Odette Yustman and Laura Vandervoort, Rachel McAdams and Neve Campbell, Shay Mitchell and Troian Bellisario, Michelle Williams and Mila Kunis, or Candice Accola and Alyson Michalka. Leven's plan appeared to have worked – momentarily at least -as the temporary truce between these fighters appeared to have melted away as snowballs were being hurled wildly towards one another.
In the midst of the chaos, Paris and Michelle led their fighters in a charge through their opposition in a mad break for the arena. Knocking down several of the fighters, the Lookout! Boxing roster sprinted for the doors of the arena. It was suddenly obvious to the snowball assault force that the Lookout! fighters were escaping and several loud surprised shouts announced this fact. The roster from Lookout! did not manage to make it to the doors unscathed, but did fire back a few well-timed shots – even on the run – to demonstrate their defiance and get some much-needed revenge as they punished their rivals for getting too close. Of course – real revenge would have to come into the ring – both in the upcoming matches and in the future.
Finally, the entire roster made it into the arena as the doors slammed shut behind them and they could continue to hear snowballs drilling into the doors behind them. Leven Rambin was congratulated with hugs, high-fives and much appreciation for averting what seemed to be sure disaster for them. Paris and Michelle went off to investigate whether the snow machines had actually malfunctioned or whether more likely, they had been tampered with. If this early snowball fight was any indication, the proud fighters of Lookout! Boxing were in for an intense night of fights ahead. Would it be a Merry Christmas eve or coal in their stockings? Santa Clause might not be watching, but the entire FCBA and millions of viewers around the world would no doubt be to find out.
Happy Christmas Eve to the FCBA and now, in the spirit of the season, it's time for THE FIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS! |
