It's been well over 15 years since both Natalie Imbruglia and Geri Halliwell broke into the music industry limelight but they are far from settling their feud and subsequently open the BBU Christmas event in Barnet. It's just past 11 am in North London but the KO Club is packed already and everyone awaits for what promises to be a great day for female celebrity boxing fans.

Per contractual demands Natalie Imbruglia has the honor to enter the ring first with her trademark tune "Torn" pumping through the speakers and the Australian brunette looks nice in navy blue one-piece swimsuit with white gloves. Long, dark brown hair in loose curls.

From the opposite side comes Geri Halliwell and it's perhaps no wonder "Spice Up Your Life" is rocking the entire crowd as one of Lioness Club's favorite girls makes her return to the ring after knocking out Dannii Minogue back in September. Geri wearing one of her own collection pieces of lingerie, black with an impressive V cut on the front and silver stripes around it. Red gloves and loose carrot curls complete her attire and she simply puts the brunette to shade here! The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Despite getting soundly beaten by Melissa George in her last outing, Imbruglia comes out swinging and catches the redhead off guard, smacks couple of hooks to the face, snaps Geri's head back and whips jabs to the ribcage, forcing the local favorite back. Natalie struggled at bantam and superbantam lately and a move down to fly seems to do her wonders as she hassles Halliwell in the first minute and land single jabs to the face with Geri failing in response. Imbruglia closes the distance and whacks more shots to the stomach before Geri can clinch her but a quick hook over the top gives the redhead more trouble. Natalie with a jabbing combo to the chest, follows it with another right hook to the temple and Geri just falls on the ropes, takes more blows to the guts before clinching and seeing out the round. Crowd looks stunned by this performance as that was all Imbruglia in the opening three minutes!

Round 2:
Coach Gina Wild is all over Halliwell's ear already and no wonder as Natalie romped through the opening round and both women square off immediately after the bell with Geri finally showing some skills and slamming a hooking double over the top to nail the brunette on the nose. Imbruglia fires back but skims off the arms and allows Halliwell to catch her on the navel, quick uppercut on the jaw follows and Geri truly finds her rhythm; lashes out at her opponent and bats her to the chest, whips a quick hook on the temple and rocks the Aussie back to the ropes! Single striking over the top keep Natalie pinned in defence and Geri pours in with more shots to the midsection, gets laced with a quick hook on the cheek but ignores it and pummels against Natalie's stomach, making her moan in pain and clinch in desperate survival efforts. These two are no spring chickens but show loads of mean intentions and Geri splits Imbruglia's mitts late on, cross-hooks her on the nose again and leaves sagging on the ropes at the bell. A round back for the Barnet favorite and it's definitely game on from here!

Round 3:
Both women keep going at it, seemingly reluctant to try and go the distance but who can blame them given their age. Natalie breaks through with couple of jabs and snaps Geri's head back but gets laced on the liver in response, skims off the forearms and Halliwell cross-hooks her to the nose again, bangs a jabbing series to the guts and bends her forward. Left uppercut on the chin spins Imbruglia back to the ropes and more shots follow as Geri piles in with jabbing to the chest, has Imbruglia moaning in pain but relieves her troubles with another left hook on the nose and NATALIE CRASHES DOWN ON THE SIDE as blood starts to sprinkle from her nostrils! The Barnet crowd errupts in joy as Imbruglia wipes the blood with the top of her glove and looks affected by the messy sight. She beats the count at seven but soon eats more leather as Geri pounds her to the ribcage, going around the elbows. Natalie trapped butt-in-ropes, just takes more punishment for remainded of the round, but covers up her face well enough to avoid Halliwell reach for the damaged nose again. At the bell Imbruglia slowly walks back to her corner and her crew is quick to work on the nose as Geri pumps the air with her glove and demands more support from the crowd.

Round 4:
Halliwell quickly leaps to her rival and gives her more trouble to the midsection as Imbruglia misses her counter and leaves the ribcage exposed. Geri pounces on the chance, whacks a big left hook on the liver, follows up with a right on the nose and Natalie's head snaps back as she tries to escape damger but fails to match Halliwell's footwork and gets nailed with couple of more straight jabs on the nose and sinks on the ropes in all sorts of bother. Blood starts to pour down her nose again but Geri finds no sympathy, peppers her over the top, splits the mitts and lands more jabs on the nose as Imbruglia buckles big time and SLIDES DOWN ON HER KNEES just unable to tame vicious onslaught. Geri shakes her glove in delight as Natalie stares at the canvas before lunging herself upright at eight. Her nose has been squashed badly, but ref doesn't allow the medics to take a look at it and allows the fight to continue. Natalie's gone mentally though, remains standing where she got up and invites Geri into landing more straight jabs on the nose! Geri bats her to the face with no response and she's just wrecking the poor brunette here as the crowd goes bonkers in the proccess! Natalie shakes all over the place, sinks on the ropes, takes another jabbing combo on the face before her arms drop to the side and SHE'S OUTTA HERE.. Halliwell knocked her silly and the ref finally embraces the battered Aussie woman to prevent any further damage, but he really should have done it after that second knockdown already. TKO R4 Geri Halliwell !!!

Post-fight:
What a way to open the Christmas Special event as Geri Halliwell roughed Natalie Imbruglia up in less than four rounds and showed no signs of slowing down in the vaning years of her career. She might struggle against those teenager upstarts but any woman born in the 70s should be seriously scared of the redhead veteran!

Natalie Imbruglia opened the fight really well but just got pummelled since the second round and proved way too hittable for someone of Halliwell's experience and former success. After a bad loss to Tulisa Contostavlos last year, followed by another beating at the hands of Melissa George, Natalie can't seem to catch a break these days and looks closer to ending her career than three years older Halliwell. She can always fight Naomi Watts though who experienced several tough losses in recent months as well and looks equally mediocre.

Geri Halliwell ends 2012 on a high note and looks far from being done in BBU but the Lioness Club executives deny any rumours linking Scary Spice into FCBA return next year. "Geri is done with FCBA, period", the stable's press office guru Kate Garraway tells fellow reporter Denise van Outen and there are no reasons to question that statement for the time being.
