BBU CHRISTMAS SPECIAL PPV
(Foxfire Atlantic Boxing vs Lioness Club)
Posted by Vassago on December 26, 2012, 9:18 pm
As Dannii Minogue leaves the arena following her emphatic victory over Hannah Spearritt she bumps into Emma Bunton whom she destroyed back in March and the tempes still run high between these two with Emma swinging at her but missing and getting a jab in the stomach in response before the security separates the two women but it's possible we haven't heard the last of this duell. In the meantime Emma has to focus on another rival, the young and highly-toued Juno Temple from Foxfire Atlantic Boxing.
Bunton and Temple were scheduled to meet few months ago already before the blonde American decided she wanted to beat up Roxanne Pallett on her debut and then travel to Japan where she got upset by Rika Ichikawa. Her entrance music is hardly a surprise with "Temple of Love" by the one and only Sisters of Mercy. "No Mercy" reads on the front of her robe with "Temple of Juno" on the back and the 23 year old actress really steals the spotlight with that one, reveals a golden basque top and black knickers with Stars and Stripes scheme on her mitts to leave no questions upon her status. Can she repeat Dannii Minogue's performance from March this year and give Emma a horrendous beatdown? Nobody inside the KO Club wants to see that happening again as Barnet born Bunton is the ultimate goddess within the Lioness Club ranks.
Here comes Emma from the opposite side, Spice Girls' "Say You'll Be There" pumping through the speakers and she shows no signs of being affected by that gut check from Dannii just seconds before and the 36 yeard old Baby Spice also hangs it out for the lads with a navy blue bikini set and black gloves. Blonde hair loose and one must question why Emma has hit such a dire period lately with Demi Lovato beating the daylights out of her during Flyweight Extravaganza earlier this month. Word on the street is Juno Temple would like to finish Emma off quicker than the fellow American stablemate but on Bunton's home turf it might prove difficult.
Round 1: Home ground advantage triggers an early attack from Bunton who slaps the youngster on the ribs, flicks a series on the chest and looks poised to inflict some heavy damage whipping hooks on the face and forcing Juno back. The American tries to respond with single hand over the top but meets the guard and gets laced around the elbows as Emma leans on her, pours in with more jabs on the chest and snaps her head back with a piercing hook. Crowd errupts in joy as Juno is forced to cover up to avoid more punishment as Bunton whacks her on the navel, throws more jabs to the head but bounces off the mitts this time and Temple manages to clinch her late in the going before landing some weak jabs to the liver but losing the round without any doubt.
Round 2: More from Emma, she leaps after her blonde foe and tries to break through the guard again but Juno is quick on her feet, tries to weather the storm in mid-range and Bunton has trouble with closing her down before launching a ferocious attack on the body. She nails Juno on the ribs but gets sliced across the mouth with a countering hook and Temple whips more jabs on the chest, flicks an uppercut on the chin and tames the Barnet girl's onslaught. Emma circles back but mounts another attack soon only to see Juno block her off and counter on the ribcage herself, big left hook cleans out Bunton's temple and a right hook catches her on the nose and wobbles back for good. Fight calms down in the final minute as the American landed some vicious blows and obviously announced her arrival in Barnet much to the crowd's dismay who hoped for more action from Emma. But they have to wait for that until the next round.
Round 3: Emma jumps after the American, looks for more ribcage assault but Juno ducks around her, flicks an overhand jab and snaps the older girl's head back, follows up with some half-uppercuts on the chest and closes the distance, skips under a wayward hook and bangs a huge punch on the rack briefly stunning Emma on her feet. Left hook on the temple, right on the navel and Emma wobbles back with Juno piercing her mitts with a fine straight jab and the crowd goes silent as Temple pounds their favorite to the ropes with midsection mauling, bounces off the rack again and forces Bunton to cover up but there's no escape as Juno opens up from both wings, buries the older blonde on her knees, whips several punches around the elbows and only the bell halts her progress as Emma shakes her head in disgust while walking back to her stool.
Round 4: Juno wastes no time in squaring up to Emma and the local girl doesn't even try to seek respite, lashes out at her foe as well and nails her on the chest but eats a big hook on the mouth and another on the stomach. Juno bends her forward, peppers her ribcage and shrugs off a clinching effort, strikes over the top and snaps Bunton's head back, lands couple of clean shots on the nose and that has Emma worried. The Baby Spice steps back, begins to wipe her nose with top of her glove but Juno mauls her rack in close range, clearly beating her on pace across the canvas. Series of uppercuts on the jugs make Emma moan in pain and she misses her response, gets laced in the exposed ribs and pushed to the ropes where Temple pings her with more efforts over the top; shatters the mitts and bounces off the nose couple of times as Bunton wobbles on her feet and takes a huge hook on the stomach right at the bell which sends her sitting on the canvas but ref refuses to start the count indicating the clock has expired already.
Round 5: The American blonde is furious over the last call and lashes out at her rival straight into the fifth with Emma finding no answer to her speed and agility. Juno fakes some low shots, nails Emma on the nose with her first meaningful punch and peppers her rack to push her back to the ropes where she ducks under a weak hooking response and sinks her on the knees with a fierce gutwrencher that makes Emma moan and really open her eyes in visible pain. More from Temple who uppercuts the older blonde's rack with ferocious strenght and Bunton stumbles to the side, right hook on the nose slams her moments later and Emma flies towards the corner post, tries to wrap her arm around the ropes but fails to do so and SLIDES DOWN ON HER BACKSIDE blinking numerous times in sheer disbelief as Temple has silenced the Barnet crowd as well. Emma beats the count at six but can't escape from trouble as Juno leaps after her and lands a big right hook on the cheek with her first try, flicks a left jab on the navel, bounces off the rack with a precise follow up and she's got Emma pinned to the corner post and bashing her guts out with Bunton just standing there, unable to counter and just taking abuse as Juno shows no signs of slowing down and she really wants to finish her foe right here and right now!!! Left hook on the nose smashes Emma's nostrils and blood starts to sprinkle from that wound as the American blonde bangs another series on the tummy, finds an uppercut on the jaw and Bunton's arms drop to the side, left hook on the nose makes her almost scream in pain and a right hook on the nose sends her on CRASHING DOWN ON HER KNEES for the second time and the ref jumps in and embraces the fallen Baby Spice who's on all fours and sobbing in pain and not looking even close to beat the count. Ref waves it off and the Barnet crowd is left silent one more time because it's TKO R5 Juno Temple!!!
Post-fight: Juno with a winning parade around the ring and the silence is eventually broken by loud whistles and jeering because nobody in the KO Club wanted to see Emma Bunton punished like that! "Better than Lovato!", Juno is clear to indicate she's finished Bunton off quicker than her fellow American competitor but as she celebrates with coach Sophia Myles all the concern is about Emma Bunton who closes the year with her third loss in four fights and her career is definitely on the rocks now.
"Those youngsters show Emma no respect", coach Gina Wild tries to explain the current state of Barnet's favorite fighter, "She's had a terrible 2012, I don't know whether we should challenge some of the older girls now. I thought Emma will teach Juno a lesson but well, we all saw what happened. We have no excuses, first Dannii Minogue, then Demi Lovato and now this. Next year must be better cause it can't get any worse, could it? (...) I've heard about Jade Ewen and Amelia Lily Oliver though and I'm not surprised, Emma is targeted as Roxanne Pallett was few months ago. Will we refuse those challenges? I don't think we will even if that means more misery for Emma. She's maybe down at the moment but no one will call her a coward who refuses to fight!"
Final result: Juno Temple def. Emma Bunton TKO5. |
