(BBU Independent vs Lioness Cloub)

Another series of bouts involving the rookies continues with glamour model Stacey Massey taking on Lioness Club's former Miss Northern Ireland Zoe Salmon. It's been a tough BBU campaign for Zoe since she signed for Lioness back in August of last year with just a single win over Holly Peers on her resume. It's perhaps understandable that she's being targeted by rookies like Massey to open their accounts and given today's results of the new wave of fighters, Stacey's task is set high with all three newcomers winning their bouts during the morning session.

Round 1:
Despite Zoe's poor record, she's supported well by the Barnet crowd who need something to make them happy again after painful defeats to Karolina Kurkova, Rhiannon Fish and Emma Bunton in recent bouts. Zoe flicks a solid series to the chest and snaps Stacey's head back with a good hook but Massey responds with some body attacks herself and peppers the ribcage, bounces off the chest and drills Salmon with a right jab on the mouth as the Irish girl stumbles back with her mitts ripped apart. More from Stacey who whips a series on the mouth, breaks the guard again and slams a left hook on the cheek, throws a right on the navel and has Zoe squealling in pain. Left hook on the temple and Zoe wobbles back to the ropes, blinks quickly but can't avoid another right hook slamming on her mouth! Salmon bends forward and covers up as Massey rips through her guts and makes her moan in pain as the Barnet crowd lose faith again with the rookie battering their girl along the ropes for remainder of the round and Stacey bangs her glove against her chest while walking back to her stool. Scary!

Round 2:
Zoe tries to inflict some damage on the newcomer but misses her hooking effort and gets laced on the ribcage straight away instead, eats more shots on the mouth as Stacey throws heavy leather and finds her target. Head-snapping combo from the model pushes Salmon back to the ropes where she nails the aching blonde on the liver and that staggers Zoe for good, hooking double tears her mitts apart again and a left hook on the jaw SENDS HER CRASHING DOWN ON THE CANVAS!!! Crowd goes silent again while Zoe tries to beat the count and manages to do so at six but Stacey keeps her pinned to the ropes with more punches on the face, left on the temple, right on the cheeks and a series of jabs on the chest. Salmon falls on the ropes and looks out of her depth with Massey pounding her on the ribs, avoiding the clinch and landing another solid hook on the mouth which just sinks the Irish blonde on her knees, Zoe drops her arms, tries to maintain balance but gets laced across the mouth and GOES DOWN ON HER KNEES for the second time in quick succession!! This is getting really ugly with Zoe getting her ass handed to her and the ref shows mercy, waves it off while Salmon's in relatively good shape and she looks relieved rather than upset over the quick stoppage. More misery for the local crowd with TKO R2 Stacey Massey!!!

Post-fight:
This is getting really painful for the home crowd but Zoe got badly exposed once again and looks in serious trouble as far as keeping her place among the Lioness is concerned. She just can't take a punch and whenever her rival throws few shots on the bounce, she caves in and almost gives up the fight. Today's performance was as bad as one can possibly imagine and one must wonder when will the Lioness patience end to terminate Salmon's hapless career?

Meanwhile it's hard to judge Stacey's skills after this bout. She brutalized a subpar opponent and must challenge a better fighter than Salmon to show what she's really made of. However it's five wins from five fights as the rookies continue to impress on the BBU Christmas Special PPV!

Final result: Stacey Massey def. Zoe Salmon TKO2.
