"The New Year's Eve Body Paint Fight Night"

Before: “It’s great to be home,” Claire Sinclair proclaims. “Doing my American debut at the Playboy mansion is just perfect!” Playmate of the Year only has one fight to her credit, a loss to Lucy Pinder in the first round of a particularly viciously contested BBU Glamour Girl tournament. On the other hand, given that three of the four fighters who proceeded to the next round, including Lucy and the eventual tournament champ ended up in the hospital, just getting out of that fight intact must count for something. At 5 foot 8, she’s on the big side for a bantam, however a full-figured chassis and a Foxfire training regimen makes comparisons to Legendary-little-girls-with-big-punches Hayden P and DanI Fishel unavoidable.

“This is a great learning experience for both of us,” Elizabeth trots out the party line in preflight. “I haven’t taken on anybody this big before, and doing it when I have the experience advantage is a great way to close out the year.” Lizzie getting the traditional Academy full-court press this year, and hasn’t looked bad in anything, while giving a good account of herself in both FCBA & BBU action

Fighters have coordinated a retro 1940s look for their attire tonight. Red skirts for both ladies, Olsen in a sleeveless dark blue halter top, while Claire’s generous assets are covered in an almost translucent white one. Hair loose but pulled back for both ladies, black gloves for Liz, red for Clair.

R1: OLSEN’S ROCKED! Heavy handed brunette piles in without preamble. Lizzie taking a beating to ribcage and belly as she reels away. Olsen finally gets her elbows in, resets her guard, pivots away behind a rapid-fire jab at Sinclair’s face. Once she gets separation, she gets on her bicycle, rides out the round keeping Claire at arms-length with keep-away jabbing, hopping and slinking to stay clear of the ropes.

R2: Elizabeth sidesteps the initial rush from the Playmate. Jab chipping at Claire’s face as Elizabeth pivots clockwise. She sneaks in a little right-hand check uppercut under chin as Sinclair tries sliding counterclockwise. Cute poking flurries to get Claire covering up so Lizzie can sidestep. Whacking right sidearm buggywhips delivered to paunch rock the Playmate as she gets completely outclassed. Sinclair is able to reestablish her guard, daring Olsen to come inside again. Lizzie respects her opponent’s power, accepts the stalemate rather than give Claire a chance to salvage the round.


R3: Claire able to scoot inside again, still committed to reducing her prey to the body, like a good little disciple of the Tank. Lizzie absorbing the shot, doesn’t try to trade, pivoting behind a rapid-fire jab to disengage and set up on the perimeter once again. Sinclair very good in the center, not presenting Olsen any openings as round once again ends in a stalemate, inconclusive circling marks the final minute.

R4: Pattern well established, Claire comes out with scooting footwork, gets in low and pounds at Lizzie’s ribcage again. Olsen pivoting once again to break off and get some separation, eats a sidearm right as she does so that bends her forward. Sinclair sees an opportunity, lashes out with the left uppercut, AND BLONDE GIRL DOWN! Olsen gets rung up, and collapses in a heap to canvas. Barely stirring by the time the ref hits 10, Home crowd comes to its feet in heartfelt applause, as Claire Sinclair posts a KO4 over one of Academy’s hot prospects!

After: Claire over quickly to check on a reviving Lizzie, offers her a hand up, eager to make it clear there’s no hard feelings. Fighters head indoors together, together, animatedly chatting, swapping training camp stories. Both rookies looked good, worked their way out of trouble, kept their heads and their tempers, and stuck to their gameplans. A good debut for all-around for the Playmate.
