Before; Allen arguable the best fighter to have never held a major title--destructive brunette has had some brilliant wins, but hasn’t been able to produce in the spotlight. Glare is blinding in any Cat bell fight--Krista aware of the criticism, “I have to win this fight,” says Allen, “I’m too strong for Cat, I mean, she’s lucky we aren’t wrestling--I’d hate to think what my legs could do to her ribcage. But even boxing, I’m going to be able to back her up, make her do what I want. This is going to be the start of something special for me.” Bell in dark-tinted leopard print bra-style bikini, Allen in red Baywatch tankini.

During R1: Tactical first, both girls trying to control distance, get the jab working. Allen with her hands up high, dropping the jab hammer style onto cat, mixing in a popping straight right hand--Bell with right hand under her chin, left slightly lower, chi tucked behind that left shoulder as she pivots smartly to either side. Bell’s feet take over the round midway through--she‘s stepping to her right and startling Krista with a very crisp stick, followed by a catspaw hook in the jugs, doubling up the hook on the mouth. Allen a little nervy--she’s getting caught and clouted 2 and 3 times by a quick mitted Cat as Bell socks away the round.

R2: Bell hooking off the jab--the step right is setting up an awkward angle for Allen--she’s getting caught hooks on the left side of her face and not seeing the punches well. Bell at distance, very sharp and precise with her punching, exhaling “PFFT” as she picks away at Allen. Midway through, Cat clips the hook, slips to her right as Krista misses a hook over the top and Bell chops home a sneaky right hand over the brunette’s shoulder to buckle Krista at the knees. Bell stepping in close, not quite bodied up, getting into Allen’s jugs with both fists to back the big girl to the ropes. Devastating sustained beat down from Bell--she’s getting the right uppercut, she’s getting the jarring hook and ALLEN TAKES A KNEE! Krista dazed, cut in the mouth, eyes staring, takes her 8 and she s REELING! On comes Bell--a vicious overhand right drapes Allen senseless in the ropes--the left, ANOTHER LEFT--Allen’s hands droop as she sags against the ropes, just taking punches to her beautiful face as Cat strains to pile it on and IT’S OVER! The ref jumps in to save a stunned and battered Krista Allen. TKO2 Cat Bell!

After: Bell unusually triumphant--climbing the ring ropes and really showing the fans some emotion--nobody expecting the early whack from the smaller brunette tonight. Allen breaking down and sobbing in her corner--emotionally scalding loss as the classy brunette has all the tools but cant find the blueprints for success. “I;m fighting and beating the girls Charlize won’t touch,” says a jubilant Bell in post foghjt, :”I saw Krista shying away from my hook and I just thought “put pressure on this girl, see if she cracks’ and sure enough, she gave. It’s a huge win for me--Allen’s a nice fighter, ut I think I proved I’m the top of the top chain with this performance.
