Before: Peta talking a big risk for personal reasons--big blonde owes the Baywatch brunette a beating and everything else is secondary., Girls have almost identical ring identities, both are strong, fast and fit, but pundits wonder if Wilson’s breakthrough title winning performance has her a better fighter on balance. Allen well aware of her “Buffalo Bills” reputation--great in the regular season, but unable to shine in the big game. “Peta’s my route to the championship,” says Krista, “I’m not losing this fight.” Wilson in white bra style bikini, short blonde tousle--Krista in evergreen string bikini, gold dollar signs on the cups, short brunette tousle.

During R1: Allen takes it to Wilson in stages, showing a finely tuned all court game. Nice roaming ring movement, sharp, unpredictable jabs, spearing right hands as Krista bounces off the ropes to catch Peta loading up. Allen hurting Peta several times with blistering rights on the chin, then getting her hands on the blonde, turning her with deft pivots as the champ gets nicked up. Shutout Allen.

R2: Shutout Krista Allen, Brunette just sharking up the blonde--belly and mouth jabs, sharp hook off the step to the right and bullying shoulder-bumps to keep Wilson moving backward. Allen nifty as she retreats to the ropes, then bounces forward with sharp counter right hands, routinely stinging Wilson coming in.

R3: Shutout Krista Allen! Allen never better--hands too fast, she’s positioning herself exquisitely off either blonde shoulder, using the ring as she changes distance o n Peta, sometimes leading behind her jab, sometimes countering behind those devastating sudden rights. Wilson getting scorched, fielding crowd-pleasing pokes on her chin that square her feet up and have her buckling forward all wobbly butt. Allen could be taking better advantage, but it’s hard to criticize as she outworks Peta, picks her spots and hurts the blonde with surgical precision through 3.

R4: Peta’s been taking a tremendous shot this far--durability slightly discouraging Krista who backs off too much his round. Peta able to get into stalking mode, gloves at her temples as she walks challenger down, touching Allen in the chest with a hammer-chop jab and finding some grazing right hands late.

R5: Peta continues to chip away at brunette’s lead. Wilson cutting off the ring, jabbing Allen to the chest, turning over the right hand. Midway through, Peta finally lands a shattering right across the mouth--Allen’s butt shoots back, torso tilts forward--she’s hurt! Peta muscling her girl to the corner, takes over out of the wrap tieing up Krista’s right arm while going to work on the body with the free right mitt, Champ landing plenty of forearm to the solar plexus as she clips the shots off tight--Allen groaning, hanging ion at the bell.

R6: Krista leggy again--she’s outboxing Peta tonight--corner wants her to get back to Plan A. Allen touching, gliding left--Wilson forced to bob and weave, looking for heavy trade that doesn’t happen. Tactical sixth goes to Allen as Peta’s face starts to show signs of wear.

R7: Peta working hard to get t Krista’s body--chest jab setting up sizzling straight right hands to the solar plexus--Peta following through with her right shoulder against Allen, blonde moving her hands when she’s in close, brunette clinching for breaks. Round becomes Allen backing up, picking Peta up with jabs and counter left hooks, Peta coming in strong and landing with scrubbing fury until she’s tied up.

R8: Allen nifty to the ropes, times the Wilson jab and ROCKS the champ with that crafty bright hand counter-chop and PETA GOES DOWN! Wilson on one knee, dazed, disappointed--she takes a hurting 8 and Allen goes back on the offensive. Krista driving Peta to the ropes with long, strong jabs, spanking a whippy right hands off the blonde’s lower left side, then ripping a double left hook belly and chin as Peta starts to wilt. Wilson breaking down, staring--seated on the strands, tilting forward as Allen’s sharp, meanspirited combinations shred up the defence. Peta staggery, busted up after 8--Allen tells her corner, “I’m beating her! I’m beating her!”

R9: Zesty Krista Allen continues to outclass the champ--Peta reduced to coming forward behind a high guard, hoping to land the big one. Allen mesmerizing backwards for forwards--she’s walking Peta into check-hooks, then nailing her right hand counters off the ropes, spinning her and luring her forward for more. When Wilson backs off to regroup--Krista gets on her with the jab, driving Peta sullen to the ropes and working her over with crisp lefts and rights to the arms and body. Furious exchange at the bell sees Allen beta Peta to a series of lefts and rights on the face--Wilson stumbling, wandering to her corner at the break.

R10: Allen comes out to finish, jabbing Peta between the breasts and SCORCHING her lips a slashing right hand. Wilson staggering back, but keeping her balance, answers back and the crowd roars to life as girls start raking each other with haymakers midring. Peta misses a right hand, bends low under Krista’s right, then CLOCKED the brunette a vicious comeback hook--BIG head swivel Allen--Krista’s mouthpiece blasted off her teeth and she CRUMBLES to the canvas! Allen sprawling on her back and it’s OVER! KO10 Peta Wilson leaves Krista Allen in ruins!

After: A dazed and battered champion is hoisted high--Peta Wilson joins the ranks of GREAT welter champions with this sensational come from behind whack and snake bitten Krista Allen. Wilson beaten shiny by the brunette’s classy attack, needed the knock out to pull it out and simply bludgeoned Krista to her back to get it done. Allen destitute in her corner, sobbing bitterly--she’s never come closer to a title than she did tonight. “I want Landry,” confirms Peta, “I’ll recognize the winner of Anna Falchi/Estella Warren as a worthy challenger--basically I’m fighting all comers like a champion should.” Amen.
