BEFORE:

DECEMBER 30, 2012:

McCarthy: "NICE right hand counter, Jones!"

O'Dell: "She got Ke$ha's attention with it...AND WALKS HER INTO ANOTHER! Jones has Ke$ha wobbled and she's going all in. Ke$ha backed into the ropes, covering up..."

McCarthy: "Jones wants to end this here and she's really letting the hands go!'

O'Dell: "Ke$ha in a high guard, blocking a lot of this, but Jones managing to land some solid stuff...BIG right snaps back the head...AND IT'S OVER! REFEREE GOING TO STOP IT!"

McCarthy: "Ke$ha doesn't like it at all!"

Tess: "Jones, on the other hand, likes it just fine! Jumping up and down and leaping into the arms of her corner people!"

O'Dell: "And a look at the two corners is all you need to know that your winner by TKO6 is Sarah Jones!

TODAY:

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," says Ke$ha, shaking her head. "Just like Paltrow, Big K failed Sarah Jones 101. I had to do more so the referee didn't stop it. Lesson learned. So, now I've got to go back and take the class again. Well, this time I studied hard. And this time, I'm going to pass. Sarah's not going to, though. Because she's going to be ASLEEP when it's over."

"Last time," says a smiling Sarah, "The question was if I could beat Ke$ha. Well, things have changed. NOW, the question is if Ke$ha can beat me. And she's not going to like the answer."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Tik Tok' you hear in the background, and here comes 'Six-Feet Of Sexy, Ke$ha!"

Tess: "As always, Wiz abiding by the traditions of introduction order. Since Jones won the first time these two ladies fought, she gets the honors and will come out last..."

McCarthy: "Which means ALL of Weirdo's girls will come out first tonight, since they all LOST the last time they faced tonight's opponents."

O'Dell: "Ke$ha into the ring. Jewel and Neve helping her off with the robe..."

McCarthy: "It's nice they're doing SOMEthing to help this kid. Ke$ha's got an awesome physical package. Big, tall, strong, rangy. Very athletic. Quick. Great feet. A TON of potential. Of course, she'll never realize it working for Weirdo and his clueless trainers. Now if I had her at Sceej..."

Tess: "HERE we go..."

McCarthy: "Walmart, I'm WARNING you..."

O'Dell(sighing): "Ke$ha wearing the black bikini like she did last time around..."

McCarthy: "What on earth is THAT song?"

Tess: "That would be 'Black Sabbath'..."

McCarthy: "I KNOW what GROUP it is! I can tell that's Ozzy singing..."

Tess: "The SONG is also called 'Black Sabbath'. From the group's first album, called..."

O'Dell: "Wait for it..."

Tess: "'Black Sabbath'..."

McCarthy: "That's RIDICULOUS! Did Elvis call his first album 'Elvis' and record a song called 'Elvis' on it?"

Tess: "Actually, his first album was called 'Elvis Presley'. His SECOND album was called 'Elvis'..."

McCarthy: "Apparently these musical acts don't spend a lot of time on NAMES..."

Tess: "Actually, the band Black Sabbath's original name was Earth. But, there was another English group at the time with the same name, so the decision was made to make a change. A theater across the street from where the band rehearsed was playing the Boris Karloff film 'Black Sabbath'. After seeing that, Ozzy and Geezer Butler wrote the song 'Black Sabbath', which was inspired by the work of occult writer Dennis Wheatley and a vision Butler had of a black figure standing at the foot of his bed. Rob Halford of Judas Priest calls it 'probably the most evil song ever written', and its writing caused the band to move in a darker direction and choose 'Black Sabbath' as it's new name..."

O'Dell: "If we're done playing music trivia, Sarah Jones of IFFI is climbing into the ring to this song. And, Tess, I'm assuming you've got some inside info about the music choices tonight..."

Tess: "I've been informed by MY sources inside Front Street, sources that actually EXIST, that the Front Street opponents will be coming down to songs befitting the card's 'Nightmare On Front Street' title...and, Wiz might have told me what songs those ARE so I could do some research..."

McCarthy(muttering): "Rotten, pointy-hatted..."

O'Dell: "Jones helped off with the robe to reveal that same medium blue bikini she wore last time. Ladies about ready to go. Tess on record as favoring Ke$ha..."

Tess: "Gotta go with a girl who grew up in Nashville!"

O'Dell: "What do you think, Mac?"

McCarthy: "Well, I've already told you what I think Ke$ha could achieve with good trainers. But she doesn't have those. Sarah beat her once. She can do it again."

O'Dell: "And there's the bell for the first, and both ladies going right at it, swinging away sloppy. Neither one making much contact..."

McCarthy: "They look like the Cardinals did against the Giants in the NLCS..."

Tess: "Let me know when the CUBS make an NLCS, Mac..."

O'Dell: "Lot of whiffing going on, as neither girl can find the range. Jones bobbing and weaving, now. Able to penetrate a little, landing the jab, working in the odd right. Able to score a bit with both hands. Ke$ha blocking, not getting off much."

McCarthy: "Kid needs to get that right hand working..."

O'Dell: "And, as if she's listening to Mac, that's exactly what Ke$ha's beginning to do, working that big, sledgehammer jab, backing Sarah out of range with it...RIGHT HOOK! DOWN GOES JONES!"

McCarthy: "Ke$ha went for the big overhad left after the jab, Jones ducked it, right into the right hook follow up!"

O'Dell: "Referee's count at five. Six. Seven. Jones wobbly but gets to her feet. Ref gives her the mandatory and he'll let it continue. Ke$ha now looking to finish. Backing Jones up with that big right hand. Sarah against the ropes, covering up as Ke$ha goes body to bring down the guard...and there's the bell! End of a wild first and an early lead for Ke$ha!"

Tess: "Never bad to start out up 10-8."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second underway and Sarah still looking a bit buzzed, Mac..."

McCarthy: "She does. Legs not working that well, and Ke$ha taking full advantage!"

O'Dell: "Big K lets the hands go, winging away and driving Sarah backward. Jones covering up..AND DOWN GOES SARAH AGAIN!"

McCarthy: "Straight left that time knocked Jones to her butt!"

O'Dell: "Referee again counting over the dazed Jones. Five. Six. Again Sarah going to beat it. She's up at seven and the referee's going to give her the mandatory and let it continue. Ke$ha now boring in, working that big right jab, looking for the left hand that will end Sarah's night. Jones backing, circling, covering up, trying to survive this thing."

McCarthy: "Ke$ha showing discipline. Not getting wild, but might want to turn up the heat. She's letting Sarah run clock."

O'Dell: "Jones tying up Ke$ha now. Stepping in and clinching. Big K shoving her off, but Jones immediately falling in and wrestling with the bigger girl again. Ke$ha hooking the ribs as Sarah ties up, holds the taller girl's arms, just looking to work her way out of this round and she's done it. There's the bell ending the second, and, again, Sarah survives."

Tess: "But Ke$ha's built a nice cushion already, up 20-16 through two."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third round begins with Ke$ha working that big right hand. She's controlling Jones with that jab, looking to drop the left. Sarah seems to be getting those legs back now, moving better, looking to slip inside Ke$ha's reach. But Ke$ha still has the range with the right."

McCarthy: "If you remember from the first fight, Sarah needs to penetrate. She can't stay out on the end of Ke$ha's punches."

O'Dell: "Jones slipping and countering now. Closing the distance, using head and shoulder movement, waiting on Ke$ha to get off, then firing back. Patient. Slick."

McCarthy: "This is some of what we saw from Jones in the first fight. Obviously, she can hit some, but she's a boxer, not a slugger. She's got good hands and feet and moves well. And, when she's got that going, she can score, which is exactly what she's doing right now."

O'Dell: "Ke$ha still landing some of her own shot, but Jones now finding a rhythm. Scoring with nice combinations. Putting punches together to the bell, and may have come back to take the round, ladies."

McCarthy: "Close, but I think Jones won it."

Tess: "Agreed, meaning the score is now 29-26."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Fourth round underway now, and we've settled into a more orderly pace. Ke$ha working the right hand, the big heavy jab, scoring with it. Jones slipping and dipping. Counter punching. Willing to give some ground. Showing both caution and guile."

McCarthy: "This is more of the pace Jones wants. She doesn't want to be brawling with Ke$ha. Wants to keep things controlled, use her slicks and smarts."

O'Dell: "Ke$ha having success at this pace, too. She's happy to bang that right home, fit in the odd left. Jones using a lot of movement here. And not just the feet. Head, shoulders, hands. Everything moving."

McCarthy: "The more I see this girl, the more she impresses me. She knows what she's doing in there."

O'Dell: "And there's a nice flurry at the bell! Both ladies landing to end a close round!"

McCarthy: "Could go either way. I went Ke$ha, but..."

Tess: "I went Sarah. No idea what the judges will say. But, it's either 39-35 or 38-36 for Ke$ha, and that's a big difference."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Ladies back in action, and the slower, more controlled pace seems to have taken hold. Mac, how important is it to control the pace?"

McCarthy: "It depends on your opponent. Certain fighters like a certain pace, and if you can force them out of it, it's a big advantage. Others, like me, can fight any speed you want, so it doesn't matter as much. Alba liked to go up tempo, and, no matter how hard she pushed on the gas, I had another gear. Campbell fought like an overweight tortoise, and I could do THAT, too..."

Tess: "Apparently not as well as NEVE could, since she beat you six of seven..."

McCarthy: "I. WAS. ROBBED!"

O'Dell(sighing): "Meanwhile, back in the ring, Sarah continuing to fight counter. Content to let Ke$ha lead, which the big girl is doing with that heavy right jab. Jones working off that jab, looking to slip, penetrate, and counter. And she's able to score doing it."

McCarthy: "Jones finding that rhythm now. Ke$ha scoring, too, but not as much as Sarah."

O'Dell: "Jones using a right hand lead, going body some, showing she's got more than a few tools in her belt. Lots of movement. Lots of slick. And that's the bell. Again, close, but I think Jones..."

McCarthy: "Absolutely."

Tess: "Agreed. Score is now either 48-45 or 47-46. Either way, Jones is climbing back in it."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Second half of what's been an interesting fight so far underway. Ke$ha with the big right hand, backing Jones up with it. Sarah again looking to counter, stepping past the bigger girl's glove and scoring in spots."

McCarthy: "If I'm in Ke$ha's corner, I tell her to start going body now. Jones clearly wants to box and counter. Use all that movement. Ke$ha should be getting into those legs. If she slows this girl down and makes her an easier target, Jones has problems."

O'Dell: "Ke$ha giving Sarah some problems with a sneaky left hook this round. Countering the counter with it."

McCarthy: "Jones using that right hand lead effectively for points of her own..."

O'Dell: "Ke$ha misses a wild left, and the girls are tied up and stumbling around all of a sudden! Ke$ha hooking the ribs with her left as Sarah's got her right tied up. Big K trying to free herself and TOSSES JONES TO THE CANVAS!"

McCarthy: "Referee warning Ke$ha, but I don't think that was intentional..."

O'Dell: "Jones a bit peeved as she gets to her feet. Ke$ha indicating the lack of intent and she and Jones will touch 'em up as the bell rings ending an even sixth."

McCarthy: "Calling that one even, so I've still got Ke$ha up three..."

Tess: "Even on my card, too. Meaning it remains a one point fight."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Seventh round begins with a nice flurry from Sarah Jones! Popped inside and let the hands go and got Ke$ha's attemtion, Mac!"

McCarthy: "Jones over to the offensive for the first time since the first round. Suprised Ke$ha with it. Got the bigger girl backing up and covering up."

O'Dell: "Lots of suppressive fire from Jones now, getting off heavy, not allowing Ke$ha to respond. The bigger blonde trying to hold her ground here, but she's slowly being backed up...AND DOWN SHE GOES!"

McCarthy: "Short right hook set up by a straight left! Best punch of the fight for Jones!"

O'Dell: "Ke$ha pounding the canvas, clearly frustrated by getting caught. She's up to her feet at seven, takes the count, and it will continue. Jones steadily pressuring now, scoring with the left hand. Looking for a big right that might end it. Not able to land it, as Ke$ha has a high guard up. Big K willing to give ground, back to the ropes, bobbing and weaving along the ropes as Jones fires away, and it's clear Ke$ha learned a lesson from the last bout as she's snapping back with her jab, not going to give the referee a chance to stop it, and he won't. There's the bell ending round seven, and it was HUGE for Sarah Jones!"

Tess: "I've got her up a point with that 10-8."

McCarthy: "And I've got her DOWN one. Either way, this is anyone's fight with three to go."

ROUND EIGHT:

O'Dell: "Into the eighth now, and Sarah back to fighting lead again, bouncing inside Ke$ha's reach, landing, slipping out with her gloves high, then popping back in again to score more points."

McCarthy: "Ke$ha not doing much this round. For the first time all night, she's very passive. Not sure if she's a little gassed or what. She's not showing any effects from the knockdown, but she's not working."

O'Dell: "Jones, on the other hand, is working PLENTY. She's in rhythm, moving well, scoring with both hands. Not hesitating. Not looking for anything big. Just wants to bank points and control tempo, and that's what she's doing."

McCarthy: "Ke$ha maybe sitting on that left hand right now. No need to do that. This is a close fight. She doesn't need a big punch to win it."

O'Dell: "Lots of little punches may be doing that for Jones. Sarah having her best round of the fight. In control from bell to bell. Great round for the IFFI fighter!"

Tess: "And, if our cards are correct, she's come from four down to be no worse than tied. That's where Mac has her. I've got her up two with two to go."

ROUND NINE:

O'Dell: "Ninth round underway, and Sarah Jones again putting punches together. The smaller blonde all slick movement, head, hands, feet. Ducking right hands from Ke$ha, slipping past her glove, scoring with both hands..."

McCarthy: "This has been a coming out party for this Jones kid, who might be getting lost in what's I.F.F.I.'s best division, lightweight. Easy to get in the shadow of Kelly, who's been very good, and Dawson, who's big and dangerous, and had some good wins of her own, but, from what I'm seeing here, Jones is a factor, too."

Tess: "Have to be impressed with how she stabilized after a bad start and worked her way back into this thing, first countering and now getting more aggressive and taking the fight to Ke$ha."

O'Dell: "And that's just what she continues to do. And the most impressive thing might be that this is all skill-based stuff. She's not as big. She's not as strong. She's not as quick or athletic. But, she getting into good spots and scoring, and she's not allowing Ke$ha to square her up."

McCarthy: "And when if she gets in too deep inside, she clinches and ties up, like she's doing now."

O'Dell: "Girls definitely in a tangle, wrestling around again. There've been a couple of times tonight when I thought an AHW match might break out in there and this is one of them..."

McCarthy: "I was Playmate AHW Champ, you know..."

Tess: "HERE we go..."

O'Dell: "Final seconds running off the clock in the ninth as the referee breaks the ladies again only to see another clinch. And there IS the bell ending the ninth, and, gang, there's no doubt about who won the round or who's winning the fight..."

Tess: "Only question is if Ke$ha can force OT with a win in the tenth. On Mac's card, she can. On mine, she needs a knockout."

ROUND TEN:

O'Dell: "Tenth round underway and Ke$ha acting as if she thinks she needs a knockout! She's right after Sarah, using that big right hand to back her up, looking to drop that overhand right. Jones willing to give ground, guard high, covering up, backing up..."

McCarthy: "Doesn't want to just play 'D' and try to survive here. There are close rounds on the scorecards...she can't run clock..."

O'Dell: "Ke$ha continuing to pressure. Showing a sense of urgency she might have done well to show in the last few rounds. Sarah getting back to movement now, ducking, countering, willing to take what the bigger girl gives her..."

McCarthy: "This Jones kid is a smart fighter and she's fighting a smart fight. I.F.F.I. apparenty HAS some good trainers, unlike Front Street..."

O'Dell: "Jones just so slick. Ke$ha can't put punches together. It's all one and done. And Sarah's getting off in counter, then slip sliding away..."

McCarthy: "Simon and Garfield!"

Tess: "First, it was JUST Paul Simon, and, for those who have 'Mac mixes up a Grammy winning singer and a cartoon cat'..."

O'Dell: "How do you know she's not referring to the president?"

McCarthy: "There WAS no President Simon!"

Tess: "I rest my case. Mark your J-Mac Bingo squares!"

O'Dell: "Meanwhile, back in the ring, Sarah Jones continues to fight counter here, effectively stalling all efforts by Ke$ha for a big final round. We're coming to the final bell, and there it is. And, we're going to get one of those hugs Mac hates..."

McCarthy: "And I think both girls know how this is going to come out, especially with Jones winning that last round..."

O'Dell: "Decision being announced, and the scorecards DO vary, but all the judges agree on your winner by UD10, Sarah Jones!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess(smiling): "I've got our winner, Sarah Jones, and weren't we just here last month?"

Sarah(smiling): "Same result, different day!"

Tess: "How big a win is this for you?"

Sarah: "Huge! IFFI is a relatively new stable, but we're rapidly establishing ourselves. We've got some real talent with girls like Anna Silk, Allison Scagliotti, Heather Hemmens, Rosario Dawson, and, of course, Joanne Kelly. I don't want to get lost in all that. So being able to come in here to Philly and get two wins against a big, strong athletic girl like Ke$ha is very important for me. And this is just the beginning for Sarah Jones. Just the beginning!"
