BEFORE:

JANUARY 13, 2011:

O'Dell: "Glau going all in, swinging away! Swan firing back, missing a wild right hand! BIG right hand Glau! Wobbled Swan's legs! Serinda missing high! GLAU WITH A NICE ONE-TWO SNAPPING BACK THE HEAD..."

McCarthy: "REFEREE STOPPING IT! SWAN CAN'T BELIEVE IT! SHE'S LETTING THE REF HAVE IT!"

O'Dell: "While Glau leaps away in triumph! What an effort by your winner by TKO3, Summer Glau!"

TODAY:

"That," says a hard-eyed Serinda, "Was one of the absolute WORST pieces of refereeing I have EVER seen! There was no WAY that girl was going to beat me, and he GAVE it to her. Well. Tonight, we'll just have to make sure neither the referee nor the judges will have anything to say about it. And that's JUST what I'm going to do."

"You know," says Summer, a slight smile brushing her lips, "Serinda needs to get over it. It happened two years ago. And, by the way, the referee did her a favor. Because, if he hadn't stopped me, I'd have taken her out of there. Just like I'm going to do tonight."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Well, Mac, I suspect you don't have to worry about one of those hugs after THIS one..."

Tess: "Might be more likely to see someone get hit with a stool..."

McCarthy: "I wouldn't put ANYthing past most of Weirdo's girls..."

O'Dell: "That's 'Foxy Lady' you hear, and here comes 'The Hottest Player In The Game', Serinda Swan!"

McCarthy: "She's not even the hottest player in this BUILDING unless I go out for a Starbucks..."

O'Dell: "Swan climbing into the ring. Helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal that red number the men in the audience like...and I'm sure the audience recognizes THAT tune. That's the theme from 'Halloween', by John Carpenter, but that's not Michael Myers coming down the aisle, it's the lovely Summer Glau..."

McCarthy: "Who, it says here, is as much in Swan's head as Myers was in Jamie Lee Curtis'..."

Tess: "You may be right about that, Mac..."

McCarthy: "Of COURSE I'm right! The Weirdo might CLAIM to have a degree in psychology, but no one knows more about boxing psychology than ME. Not even Cy Young!"

Tess: "Wait..."

McCarthy: "Come ON, Walmart! Didn't you study Cy Young at that pseudo-college you went to?"

Tess: "Refresh my memory..."

McCarthy: "He was the guy who said we were all unconscious!"

Tess: "THAT would explain a lot..."

O'Dell(sighing): "A million hits by tomorrow. Guaranteed. Glau into the ring. Helped off with the robe by the Medallion corner people. Looking VERY good in a white bikini. Let's talk picks. Tess on record as favoring Summer. What do you think, Mac?"

McCarthy: "Glau is a champion and she's already stopped Swan once. Swan is a second-rate light in a third-rate stable. Glau will beat her again!"

O'Dell: "And there's the bell. Swan wasting no time getting after Summer, walking forward behind the left hand. Cutting the ring on Glau, making use of her reach and size advantage."

McCarthy: "Glau showing a lot of movement, as expected, but Serinda's finding the range with that left and using it to set up the right. Glau doesn't want to be in front of her. We talked about Perry being a big light, well, so is Swan. She's listed at 5'7" in some publications, but she's really 5'8" and she comes in only a pound or two shy of the limit. Glau walks around at 120 or so and easily makes bantam, so she can't trade with Serinda."

O'Dell: "Swan dropping right hands on Glau to good effect. She's scoring well and has Summer thrown over to the defensive. If you game planned this fight for Swan, this is what you'd draw up. Summer slipping away now, out to the center of the ring. Swan in hot pursuit behind the left hand...good right hand counter for Summer...and another one...and a third! And she's got Swan hurt!"

McCarthy: "Shades of Glau/Swan I! Sneaky-fast, slick counters and Swan's wobbly and Glau's all in!"

O'Dell: "Summer letting the hands go! Backing Swan into the ropes. Serinda covering up and hanging on. Referee looking closely as Glau landing with both hands. Swan with a high, tight guard, rolling with the punches. Summer launching her weight behind them, getting everything she has into each blow and Swan is feeling it...but she hangs on! There's the bell and Summer Glau's stolen the first round. Shades of 2011!"

McCarthy: "She is IN Swan's head."

Tess: "And in the LEAD 10-9."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second round underway and Swan's right after Summer. Glau circling and bobbing. Serinda with the left high and the right at the belt. Swan snapping the left. Glau dodging, leaning away, countering...RIGHT HOOK SWAN...AND DOWN GOES GLAU!"

McCarthy: "Looked like Summer was ducking the left hand follow up but she was really on her way to her back!"

O'Dell: "Serinda to a neutral corner. Summer sits up at four. Tries to stand and crumples back to her knees! Tries to stand again and stumbles around wildly before falling back to the mat on her face! Count at eight. Nine. TEN! IT'S OVER! YOUR WINNER BY KO2, 'THE HOTTEST PLAYER IN THE GAME' SERINDA SWAN!"

McCarthy: "Check the replay on this, Jenny. Watch Swan snap out a left. Glau twists her head away, and here comes Serinda's right, up from the waist. BAM! Right on the chin. Swan throws a left hook to follow but Glau falls right under it. No idea where she is at this point. Keeps trying to get up but all she can do is reel around and fall back down."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Serinda Swan..."

Serinda(interrupting): "I TOLD you! The referee and judges weren't going to have ANYTHING to do with it this time! No fast stoppages, no decisions, just Glau flat on her a**! And that's the way this is going to have to BE from now on! I'm not going to get a fair shake, so flat on their a**! That's how I'm going to leave them. One after another. Flat. On. Their. A**!"
