BEFORE: "She's got a pretty junky trunk," Shay says of Anna's physique, following a preliminary weigh-in 6 weeks out. "She's stocky...that's all great if you've got a girl cornered and you're working her over, but look at my legs: how the hell is a girl like Anna gonna get in front of a girl like me? I'm too leggy! Every time she tries to walk me down, I'm just gonna punch her face. It's time for me to break out, and I'm gonna get over big time against Anna Silk. Make that HUGE time!"

Silk pursing lips, deeply unimpressed by Shay's estimates. "Shay's never been in with anything like me before," Anna reports at podium. "All these girls - Michalka, Accola, Mitchell...yeah, they're tall, strapping lasses, but they're just kittens at this point. None of them have the firepower to back me off...I just think this is going to be a heartbreaking night for Mitchell. Going to be instructive though: when people see what I do with this kid, it's gonna be harder than ever for me to get fights, I can tell you that!"

During R1: Shay roaming in wide stance to her right - pinging the jab, looking to stick Anna strong lead rights, then hook her chops or rack. Good healthy slugging - both girls getting their backs into big shots...Mitchell's trailing hook sort of a "bonus" punch that claims well against tummy or rack, earning her points at the bell.

R2: Anna using more of the jab - locating Shay's chest...idea being to put Mitchell ropeside and work her over. Shay jabbing-with, loping to her left...she's scrubbing one-twos to face, then trailing that rangy, delayed hook back into Anna's jugs. Shay the busier vixen again, doing a good job of keeping her back free of ropes...Silk gets outworked for more points through 2.

R3: Looping overhand right crushes Shay's right ear flat to her shoulder...Mitchell staggers out of orbit staring and wobbly-butt! Mitchell reeling to ropes, showing how-could-you eyes, but as Anna wades in: SHAY HAMMERS AWAY! Silk rebuffed, backing off to regroups...Mitchell's legs shot, she can't get away...she digs in instead, awaiting Anna's next assault. Silk obliges, wades in: Shay picks her up the right uppercut; hooks her across the scalp; slops a right upside the head; hooks the tits...Anna rejected, withdrawing to safe distance and once again regrouping. Silk attacking again and again, but never prepping with the jab...Mitchell able to be first off the ropes, slugging Anna into a bobbing crouch inside, outworking her until Silk backs off. Anna's round, but furious defiance from Shay gets her out of a potentially dangerous spot.

R4: Shay flat-footed, but offensive minded - she's stepping to Anna with the jab; leaning into the short right hand, then trading wicked hooks at close range. Silk catching heavy leather about her head; sponging clobbering hooks across her jugs...Shay able to back Anna up with determined slugging, while Silk bangs back in spots to avoid shutout.

R5: Girls close and bang - pate-to-pate brawling on the inside. Bruising stuff, Shay laying in close with hands on Anna's shoulders, then jerking the tidy right uppercut, pushing into Anna to back her up. Silk hooking tummy; bumping the left shoulder in Mitchell's tits; flashing the right uppercut in tight. Strong girls trudging around in little circles, constantly pushing on one another...terms of engagement favour stockier Anna as she thumps out the point.

R6: Same again - girls push-in, slop away in tight confines. Shay's busier by a smidge - establishing that short right uppercut/push routine - stepping in strong; working thick left uppercuts to hip and paunch on Anna.

R7: Shay shows a new front: left at her hip; right at her chin; left shoulder pointed Anna's way. Mitchell active with the left elbow from this stance - lifting it to nudge or ward off shots: Anna bobbing, showing crossed-arm in response. Shay backhanding the left jab off her hip - landing it with heavy spank, then dropping a loose-limbed right...thudding, rangy power keeping Anna outside. Silk bobbing on the spot, blocking a lot of shots, but unable to penetrate...Mitchell nice and relaxed, shifting counter-clockwise as she works methodical.

R8: Shay sticks with the look, problematizing things for Anna. Silk bobbing with back of right hand at left cheek/left hand under right elbow, trying to negotiate a way in, but Mitchell relaxed in her pocket, managing Silk's pressure well. Stepping to her right around that heavy backhand jab, Mitchell sweeps swinging roundhouse rights to Anna's head/shoulders, keeping Silk defensive. Using the extended chickenwing elbow to push and steer, Shay changes direction to circle left, constantly forcing Silk to adjust. Bell: Shay all sweaty and upbeat...Pretty Little Puncher doing a good job on Syfy veteran through 8.

R9: Shay continues to work that rangy, upright look, winning another minute, but midway through, Silk turns the tables. Mitchell rotating clockwise behind that backhand upjab, bending in to sweep the wide right...Anna timing Shay's right hand, diving into a looping overhand right and DOWN GOES SHAY! Crashing blast catches Shay upside the head as she's unfurling her own right...Mitchell collapsing to her right/rolling to her back - long black hair strewn across her mouth/nose. She's out - Shay fast asleep, unmoving as Anna stomps the ring, bellowing in triumph. KO9 in come-from-behind fashion, Anna Silk.

AFter: Anna badly outclassed much of the night, losing 7 of the 9 rounds...curvy star of Lost Girl never loses heart, keeps stalking her foe and ends Shay's night with a blockbuster right. "I was never concerned," Anna says of the points-differential in postfight. "She's tall and rangy - hard to get to...but I could tell I was stronger and I knew I'd get to her. These kids can't take punches, I mean - Munn did the same thing to Michalka...I knew it was just a matter of time before I tracked her down and switched her off!"
