BEFORE: "It's the same old story," Jessica shrugs, dismissing Minka with the gesture, "Girl wants to be me, but she can't, 'cause she doesn't have the talent. Minka's damaged goods, I mean - KO1? To Leighton Meester? It's obviously over for Minka, and maybe it's up to me to hammer home the point. She may have been Sexiest Whatever about a thousand years ago, but coming into this fight? She's just another Alba-wannabe tramp!"

Minka frowning - extraordinarily pretty girl under enormous pressure these days...reduced in status in her own gym; mortified by her loss to Meester; hounded by Cuthbert day in, day out...she desperately needs to claim against Jessica. "It's no secret I'm struggling to regain traction," Minka shrugs at podium. "But it's a mistake to think that just because I've had some sub-par outings that I'm broken or something. I train hard; I fight hard, and when you do those things, wins and losses sort themselves out. Jessica's mean - I know that; I expect that, so her crap doesn't effect me. Believe me, I see more 'mean' in my own gym than I'm ever going to see from this girl, so I'm not impressed!"

Underscoring Minka's point is the intense criticism of Kelly in the press...coming from Lookout girls themselves! Cuthbert and Lilo both telling BLONDE! Mag in separate interviews that they have grave concerns about Kelly's ability to defeat Alba at this juncture. Meester even meaner in Fighting Ingenue, saying: "Minka can't be fighting former champions right now - not after I demolished her. She needs to be babied. A tour on cougar beach might be just the thing for her - God knows she's old enough!" OUCH!

During R1: Minka out BANGIN', baring teeth as she bends into a curling overhand right; twists into a belting left hook - fists returning to her own chest on snappy follow through. Alba clobbered about her torso, backing off leggy...she roams to her right along apron; gets jabbed into ropes as Minka steps-in the stubby poke. Pounding overhand right; ripping left hook - Mink just bending and twisting into bashing leather, beating hell out of Alba's svelte chassis! Minute mark, Alba laying against ropes, trying to fight Minka for the lanky right uppercut counter: crashing right toggles Jessi's chin and BLONDE GIRL DOWN! Alba dropped to her right, onto all fours, right side parallel to ropes - ref forced to push a SEETHING Minka back as Kelly's lost in slugger's fury. Achy 8, Jess: she's wincing, digging in as scowling Minka's on the march. Kelly pawing her left at Jessi's guard then POUNDING the palm-down right flat to chest - Minka's backside shuddering side to side with the violence of her commitment. Palm-down hook whistles across Jessi's chin; clubbing right bounces off side of Alba's head...Mink just CHUGGING in left/rights in 2-beat bursts, getting legs and buns into driving leverage and BLONDE GIRL DOWN! Jessica sputtering, dropping to her knees - pushing her hands onto Minka's thigh/tummy as Kelly snarling down, right hand raised to smite! Ref tackles Minka away...Jessica all shabby climbing the ropes: she's a badly rocked vixen! Final minute - Jess arranging loose mitts-at-mouth look, eyes all sleepy/glassy: Mink wades in and HAMMERS AWAY TO GLORY! Kelly baring teeth, pinning ears back and throwing herself at Jess! Sweeping overhand right - Minka's back (right) foot skipping up off canvas on delivery; swinging hook...Jessica blinking, swaying back into ropes with a staring aspect. Minka rejigs her footing, then bends into a plastering right upside Alba's head...Jessica's legs give a shimmy as she slumps stupified into ropes. Minka: extending left hand to push-stabilize Jessi's chest; PASTING right hand drifting to chin, swiveling blonde head, dimming Jessica's eyes. Minka in there strong, left hand propping Jessica up by her chest, right hands POURING to face...poor Alba out on her feet, staring into crashing blows and THE REF STEPS IN! Good Lord - TKO1 Minka Kelly.

After: Alba blubbering in a KO'd haze, collapsing into official's arms...Minka stomping away all angry butt - chocolate eyes blazing, lips still snarling: DAMN she wanted that win. "I had to produce," a very intense Minka says in postfight. "It was Jessica Alba, and I wanted that name in my trophy case, but more than that, I had to push back against my critics. You want ferocity and compete? TKO1 over a legend. That's me making a statement to my gym that I'm not bending the knee to anybody. As long as I'm punching like I did tonight, I'm Alpha in my heart, and I'd like to see Lishy or Leighton take those shots!"
