Both girls look exceptionally good even for BBU high standards but the local favorite obviously gets the bigger applause with Clement scowling in her corner already and looking anything but satisfied at her reception.
Round 1:
Clement comes out swinging; silences the Cardiff crowd by thumping a series to the Welsh girl's tummy but Danielle responds and spikes the model over the top, cleans out her cheeks and pauses for a moment checking her input on the glamour model. There is none though as Jessica bangs a left hook on the temple and wobbles the stunned Lineker; pours in with more jabs on the midsection and forces her back for good. Danielle throws some single shots, tries to keep the younger girl at bay but Jessica swings more menace around the head and keeps Daniella backing away, circling around the ropes and looking overwhelmed by the effort. War face on display for Clement who reaches out for the stomach again, peppers the ribcage and keeps Lineker pinned on the back foot until the bell.
Round 2:
Clement squares up to Lineker and peppers her ribs again; Danielle winces in pain but whacks the raven-haired model on the eye with a quick hook, follows up on the rack but crashes off the arms and Jessica snaps her head with an overhand right, whips a left on the tummy, wobbles the older girl and slices across the nose with another left. Lineker wobbles back on her feet, drops the arms and looks to keep the balance but Jessica with a double jabbing on the mouth from point-black range SENDS DANIELLE CRASHING HARD ON THE BACKSIDE and the Cardiff crowd is stunned!! Clement gives Lineker more fistful of pain than Cheryl Cole before and gloats in delight as Danielle pushes herself off both arms and looks upset over the knockdown. No time to catch some breath though as Jessica throws more leather on the face, forces the Welsh brunette to cover up but Clement pushes her towards the ropes and works around the midsection, lands one shot on the navel before crashing off the forearms; Lineker in real trouble but a wayward left hook skims off her gloves and she ducks underneath a follow up, manages to force a clinch and keep her raging opponent at bay for remainded of the round.
Round 3:
Loud cheers for Lineker who really needs some support as Clement lashes out at her again but misses her shots on the head and gets whacked on the jugs instead as Danielle realizes she must attack the younger girl and the crowd really gets behind their favorite with Lineker bouncing off the rack and sending a piledriver on the jaw which gets blocked in the very last second but Jessica loses her footing; Danielle nails her over the top, spikes the eye and forces the raven-haired model to pause briefly. Jabbing series around the elbows follow and Lineker stages a quick comeback, targets the ribcage with lots of efficiency; Clement reverts into single punching from behind the guard but gets whacked on the tummy and strays backm circles around not looking so intimidating anymore and losing her momentum from the previous round. Lineker is equally happy to catch some respite but keeps the glamour model busy with repeated attacks until the bell with little success though.
Round 4:
Clement goes for another charge but crashes off the guard as Lineker matches her speed and agility across the canvas and the early advantage has gone away from the glamour model with Danielle making use of her longer reach and keeping her back with more methodical punching to the body. Jessica tries some fancy footwork, throws shots from the side but finds no success and nearly gets nailed by a quick hook that skims off her temple as Lineker jumps in and looks for a follow up only to eat a quick jab on the chest herself and let Jessica circle away herself. Danielle's eager to make up for that knockdown though and leaps back and forth around her rival, trying to trap her along the ropes but Jessica responds with some solid strikes over the top and tests the Welsh girl's guard well but there's no real breakthrough in the fourth.
Round 5:
Lineker up for an early strike, peppers her opponent's guard and smacks her across the mouth which briefly bends Clement to the side and there's a big hook rocking her jugs soon afterwards as the Cardiff crowd goes ballistic with Danielle bouncing off the rack more efficiently and pushing the stunned glamour model to the ropes. Jessica dives under a high hook and laces Lineker on the ribs but the Welsh model runs riot, catches her with a crisp left hook on the jaw, follows up with an overhand right on the eye and snaps Clement to the ropes, pounds her on the exposed tummy and lands another left hook on the temple which finall SENDS THE RAVEN-HAIRED MODEL ON HER KNEES!!! Lineker jumps back and forth over her fallen foe but gets pushed back to a neutral corner by the referee as Clement gets up on her feet at six and looks on at her rival. Lineker goes after her again, snaps her head back with more shots on the mouth and she's breaking through the mitts with ease as Jessica looks subpar along the ropes. She takes more punishment on the stomach and scowls in pain before Lineker splits her lip with more hooks just before the bell and the Cardiff crowd is absolutely loving this display!
Round 6:
Clement struggles for confidence, throws some shots on the guard but Danielle slams her on the ribs and whips a series on the jugs to push the aching glamour model on the ropes and Jessica just can't escape from danger here as she weaves around some heavy leather but the high intensity just proves too superior and Danielle gives her more blood coming from the wounded lips as she slams across them again and Clement's arms begin to drop to the side, she gets nailed with couple of more hooks on the cheeks and just sinks on her knees as Lineker whacks her on the rack with a big uppercut and Clement's knees give way; SHE SLIDES DOWN ON HER BACKSIDE ALONG THE ROPES and drops her head between the shoulders looking anything but able to continue. Ref starts the count and Jessica bravely gets up at nine with some help of the ropes but glassy eyes indicate she's on the verge of breaking down. But the crowd wants a juicy KO and ref gives Clement thumbs up, no sympathy from the man in charge as Lineker squares up to her wounded foe straight after the command and buries a textbook uppercut on the jaw and that sends Jessica's eyes to the orbit, she hits the canvas face-first in goodnight and goodbye fashion!!! KO R6 Danielle Lineker!!!
Post-fight:
That was one knockout for the photo reporters but completely unneccessary from a neutral point of view. Jessica Jane Clement was dazed and out on her feet before that KO punch and the fight should have been stopped earlier. One must question whether the raven-haired model even saw the last punch that rendered her unconscious.
However all this matters little to Danielle Lineker and the whole BBU International Arena in Cardiff as the Welsh model celebrated the best victory of her career and a true knockout punch for the covers. The chants continue long after the brunette model left the ring and this result surely brought a very positive mood into the arena which bodes well for the remainder of the card even if the PageThrees corner might think otherwise.
Medical update: Jessica Jane Clement escaped serious injury following her devastating loss to Danielle Lineker and was cleared by the medical staff after a brief visit to a nearby hospital. The damage to her pride probably exceeds any physical aspects of this fight though.
