Before: This is a huge match-up for both fighters, both as co-stars and rivals. Their first encounter had occurred at an ABC PPV event to prevent the new season of Revenge, which Madekwe had won via a shocking KO3. While Emily had recovered from the loss, since winning (and unfortunately losing) the bantamweight title, she had certainly not forgotten it for a second. An already tense situation on set had only been exacerbated by the outcome of that match and relations between both fighters had degenerated to the point where they couldn't even appear on set together. In fact, in this current season of REVENGE, they hardly appeared together on screen in an attempt to keep things from getting too chaotic. Rumors of on-set confrontations persisted until a direct rematch was required to hopefully help resolve things, though obviously nobody honestly believed that would occur, as their pre-match comments made abundantly clear.

“I know Emily looks at Revenge as HER set, but it was honestly only her set for about five minutes until they cast me, right?” Ashley states during interviews, smirking as she holds court with the assembled press corps, “I made that VERY clear last time, didn't I? Three rounds and Ems couldn't take any more of me. I showed girls just how overrated VanCamp is and how to break her down. Obviously girls like Carmella studied that and Eliza didn't, but don't worry, I'm going to give them a whole new training video on how Emily VanCamp sucks! So, make sure you watch, girls – Ems is all mine!!”

Emily sweeps into the room, barely even acknowledging Ashley as the press corps focus their attention on VanCamp, much to the disdain of Ashley and Emily offers a smile in response. “First of all, REVENGE has been my set, is my set and will be my set – let there be no question of that! If there is a challenge to my on-set superiority, it will not come from Ashley. Today will prove that beyond a doubt. I am going to break her down and once I do, I'll be able to put her behind me and underneath my heel. Right where a tramp like Ash belongs!” These comments bring Ashley storming over, the two of them face to face as officials work to keep the two from fighting until the actual boxing match.

Emily in a pink sports bra and white shorts, white gloves and her hair in a fighting ponytail; Ashley has her hair in a similar ponytail, with a powder blue bikini top and a pair of matching shorts, blue gloves. Both girls exchange frosty glares with one another as they touch gloves, then separate on the beach.

R1: It's a very chaotic first round as Ashley is clearly fired up. Whether she's motivated by ambition, adrenaline or even fear, but whatever it is, it definitely works for Madekwe this round. Madekwe pours in from her corner, eyes filled with fury, swarming in towards a surprised Emily, fists flying as she hammers away at VanCamp. Emily forced to fight along the ropes as she does manage some offense with some lithe jabs, but it's mostly Madekwe's whirling hooks and jabs that scrub away at Emily, remaining in hot pursuit of Emily throughout the round. This volume and level of production lead to a big advantage for Ashley in the first round. Emily is overall unhurt, but clearly overwhelmed and startled as she was outworked and outhustled by Madekwe in this wild round. Ashley all smiles heading back to her corner, exchanging fist bumps and even a saucy wink over at VanCamp.

R2: Ashley surges forward from her corner, eager to build on her excellent work in the first round and harass Emily around the ring once again. Emily, however, is ready this time around, keeping her guard up and using her legs to maneuver away from the ropes where Madekwe liked to pin her down in the first round. As Ashley comes in hot, teeth bared, she swings her gloves up high to try to smack into Emily's head with force, but VanCamp ducks underneath them and manages to sneak in an uppercut that picks up Ashley, sending the exotic beauty down to her butt with a thud. Emily struts backwards, gazing down coolly at Ashley and waiting to see whether she rises, hoping she's put her rival down early. Ashley rises up to her feet at 8 as the ref waves Emily in, who pounces forward, just spearing into Madekwe's abs to double her over and bullying her back towards the ropes. Ashley tries to clinch and prevent herself from being forced back, but another hard hook stuffs deeply into Ashley's tummy and then a right cross snaps across her cheek to send her crashing face-first to the canvas, perpendicular to the ropes. That is TWICE in the first 90 seconds of the second round, but surprisingly enough, Madekwe makes it back to her feet and uses the ropes to support her. Keeping her guard up as Emily lathers her around her head, shoulders and chest, just cleaning up on her foe in a dominant second round to take control of the match for now.

R3: Ashley, however, makes it clear she's not ready to go as she comes out for the third, keeping her guard up and refusing to back down. Emily comes out swinging, using her rangy jabs to keep Madekwe from coming forward, but Ashley using good footwork to keep herself upright and out of harm's way for the most part. But, Emily keeps up a determined output of face-punching and good body work as she whacks away at Madekwe's ribs and tummy. It does add up throughout the round as Madekwe's legs tremble a bit, but fights back, burying her own fists into VanCamp's abs and flicking out some jabs towards her face. It's a hard-fought battle of attrition between the two as Emily grinds out the points to take this round, though not without cost.

R4: Emily picks up the pace this round, managing to catch Ashley before she can really get up off of her stool, just battering her backwards along the ropes and stuffing a hard right-left combination across Madekwe's belly-button. A loud gasp escapes Ashley's lips as she doubles over and a right jab snaps her head backwards to send her stumbling along the ropes. Emily is quick to pursue a disorganized Madekwe, who is hovering near the ropes hurt and VanCamp is able to spend the rest of the round cleaning up on her foe. Ashley keeps her guard up to keep from getting knocked down or out, but Emily keeps buffeting around her heads, shoulders and sending some shots into her face to leave Ashley dazed at the end of the round. It's a deeply discouraged Madekwe who heads back to her corner this round.

R5: Ashley appears outgunned by Emily this time around, but stands her ground and forces Emily to grind out points. Ashley moves around the ring, using her legs to bob and weave, avoiding the relentless jabs from VanCamp who keeps pushing her back towards the ropes and corner. But, each time, Ashley manages to leg out of trouble, using some rangy shots of her own to keep Emily from getting too close. Emily keeps hacking away with limber shots, driving in some hooks behind her elbow and then scrubbing in across her face to help extend her lead. Madekwe not giving up, fighting back and providing resistance where she can, but her offense is sporadic and she is much more often on defense this round. It's another big round for Emily, but hard-fought as you might expect between these two rivals.

R6: Emily swarms forward from her respective corner, eyes flashing with determination and going all in this time around. Emily just swinging with determination, heartlessly chopping away at Madekwe's ribs and then pounding away at Ashley's face with pinpoint precision. Ashley's head bouncing backwards, eyes blinking as she is battered along the ropes, trying to cover up but her gloves can't seem to keep up with the up-tempo combinations of VanCamp. A particularly devastating left and right combination swivels Ashley's head back and forth, dropping her to the mats with a thud. Emily steps back, waiting to see whether Ashley makes it back up and Ashley does, which is a decision Vancamp looks to make her regret. Madekwe barely staggers to her feet before Emily is on top of her, ragdolling her to the ropes and sending her fists straight into Ashley's face to send her butt-in-ropes. The ref pulls Emily off at the end of the round as this round was all VanCamp, with this final minute total clean-up. Ashley has clearly been badly beaten, scuffed up on her stool and eyes welling up with tears and confusion. The ref asking whether Ashley wants to quit, but Ashley shakes her head back and forth, indicating she wants to continue. Ashley is unable to articulate it, breaking into tears as her corner works to prepare her for the next round as the ref finally is able to get her to verbally state her intentions to continue.

R7: It's a rapid-fire and torrential output from Emily, but an accurate one as well. Ashley wilting under the precision jabs from VanCamp who has asserted control of this contest, just battering her around her head and shoulders with no pity. Ashley bringing up her gloves, covering up around her temples, but that unfortunately leaves Emily plenty of room to attack down below, chopping with cruelty at her ribs or stuffing rights and lefts towards her belly button. Ashley trying to use those legs of hers to escape, but Emily cutting off all avenues every time she attempts to as she keeps mixing it up with shots to the body and then to the head. In the final minute, Emily catches Ashley off guard with a clean uppercut to her chin that sends her falling to her back with a crash, with nearby audience members resisting the urge to yell out “Timber!”. The bell rings before the count of ten, saving Madekwe for another round – for better or worse – as Emily stands over her and regards her without mercy.

R8: VanCamp is in complete control of this contest at this point as Madekwe is barely able to make it up from her stool, but manages to get her gloves up. Surprisingly, rather than pick up the pace and finish this one up, Emily appears to take the reverse approach. Easing up off the gas pedal, she circles around Ashley and works with accurate jabs, peppering at Madekwe's face from the outside. Using her length to flick out repeated jabs that whip Ashley's head backwards and then scrubbing across her face with cruel hooks that have Ashley's face bruising up. Once again, as Madekwe tries to use her legs to maneuver to freedom, Emily sends out a rangy jab from the outside to corral Ashley back to where she can continue to batter down her face, defenses and confidence. It's a dominating display that has Ashley almost in tears again, sinking back to her corner and cradling her face after the round.

R9: If the previous round was clinical and cruel, this one is all about desperation and ferocity from Ashley. Madekwe has watched the match and her confidence slip away round by round throughout this contest and Emily knows it. Emily emerges from her corner, pumping out her jab towards Madekwe's face, but Ashley finally is able to use her legs and circle around Ashley. Madekwe is a blur this round, wading in with absolute determination, knowing this is her last chance to get back into the match. Emily appears to be caught unprepared for such a frantic and late burst of offense from Ashley, stumbling along the ropes and slightly frazzled from the unexpected hustle from Madkwe. It's not a case of being outboxed at this point in the contest, but Ashley is slugging for all she's worth, trying to get on top of Emily and her gloves moving swiftly in criss-cross motions to daze Emily and harassing her around the ring. Emily emerges from the round unhurt overall, but is obviously furious that Madekwe stole a round late to interrupt her momentum and Madekwe slumps into her stool, eyes glinting angrily, but clearly weary from that burst of energy this late in the match.

R10: That impressive display in the last round took it all out of Ashley, with the angry look in her eyes being replaced by exhaustion, but coming out determined with her gloves up. Emily regroups after that flurry of the last round, starting off slow as she drills in shots to bury in her gloves with harsh hooks behind Ashley's elbow and against her abs. Smacking in her gloves to Madekwe's tummy, which opens up her guard and Emily is quick to switch her attention up top – battering into Ashley's face with jab after jab. Leather spanking in hard as she delivers some jabs which appear to unhinge Madekwe's legs, sending her staggering back towards the ropes for support. A right cross from Emily, swinging from her hips with some serious force behind it, intercepts Ashley before she can reach the ropes. Ashley pitches to the side, crashing with a thud into the canvas as she curls up, hugging her body while Emily saunters back, confident that Madekwe is finished. However, surprisingly enough, Ashley makes it back to her feet just before the count reaches 10. Whether it's pluck, determination, willpower or just sheer hatred of EVC, she rises up to deny Emily from achieving the satisfaction of a KO victory. Emily surges forward, gloves whirling outwards, determined to put Ashley down for the count. But, the bell rings and the ref steps in between them, as Madekwe sways on unsteady legs over to her stool and crashes into it, unable to stay up a moment Emily takes the moment to have her hand raised in victory for a wide and convincing UD10!

After: This night really couldn't have gone much better for Emily VanCamp, even if she didn't quite the result she wanted. However, she absolutely thrashed Madekwe, completely demonstrated physical superiority and Ashley knows it. Ashley demonstrates her determination and desire to compete with Emily with lasting for all ten rounds. If and when a rematch happens, there is no doubt Ashley will come in highly motivated. But for now, the night is just simply magical for Emily and it's not over yet.

Emily removes her gloves, handing them to her corner as she struts over confidently towards the corner of Ashley, who is being tended and generally revived by her staff. Emily frostily brushes them out of the way as she cups Madekwe under her chin, forcing her to gaze up at her with a quiet determination etched in her face. “Whose set is it?” Emily demands coolly, reaching up with her other hand to give a gentle shake of Madekwe's tresses, “Whose set is it, huh?” Ashley shakes with rage, but knows she is no position to negotiate at this point, angrily saying, “Yours, Emily!” and then turning her head furiously, unable to even look up at VanCamp, eyes glistening with tears. A satisfied smirk plays across Emily's lips as she leans down, planting an insolent kiss across Madekwe's cheek and whispering in her ear, “That's what I thought. MY set. Anytime you forget that, I'll send you a copy of this tape, alright?” Emily then steps away, turning her back on Madekwe and effectively dismissing her. Ashley storms away shortly after, once she's able to, cursing out and blaming Emily VanCamp, Nina Dobrev and Lookout! Boxing in general to anybody in earshot.

Emily VanCamp remains in the ring though, telling the assembled press and audience members, “I hope by now you realize that there is absolutely nothing exotic about Ashley and that if anybody is overrated, it's clearly her. You should also know that listening to her is a complete mistake and next time she makes any more claims about being in charge, you just remember how I broke her down! Anytime she wants me to give girls a blueprint on how to humiliate her, she knows where to find me. But, then again, she knows what'll happen if she tries to mess with E – V – C!”, pointing to herself with each syllable of her name as the crowd chants along. Emily then grins, heading off of the beach to go celebrate crossing another name off of her list – for now.
